As said above, this is a catch-all log for those who want to play out Rocket interactions outside of regular posts. I'll have threads set up for each base. Comment where your character is hanging out and provide some scenarios if you want. Possibly add dates as well, in case you want to make more comments in the future. Others will then respond to your comment/scenarios and wonderful threads will ensue. This should be a great opportunity to have your Rocket meet others and develop bad guy CR.

[[If you're unlucky, you might run into Dr Kato around the Rocket base in Goldenrod. He's most commonly found in the labs, where he holds the rank of Researcher. What he's researching, however, tends to be on the macabre side.

Regardless, he'll usually speak to anyone who approaches him, particularly if you've got something interesting to say or you want him to talk about himself. He'll also answer any questions about his research, albeit in the most insufferably smug manner possible.]]

Ryuunosuke occasionally swings by the labs to take a peek at what's going on inside. He's been thrown out more times than he really cares to count, but at least he's learned to be careful! He doesn't have any Pokémon out and he's not touching anything, at least.]

[Because this doesn't get played out enough. All fellow new recruits welcome, as well as whatever poor soul got stuck with being instructor today.

Expect Ilya's enthusiasm to vary depending on how long she's been there. Also expect her Duskull to float around spooking everyone.]

[The Duskull will get greeted by a defensive Murkrow who will screech every time it gets near - while its trainer, Ikuto, doesn't really seem to care about anything here.]

Orpheus, cut it out. That's getting annoying.

[The Duskull floats back over to her, looking a bit sulky. As much as a floating ghost with a skull covering its face can, anyway.

She sighs, patting him on the head.] I wish the instructor would get here already. I'm bored.

Training Arena/Game Corner (your pick!)

[ Although she's finished newbie training, Scanty's ridiculously-strenuous personal regimen continues....if by "personal" you mean "she stands around sipping mineral water while snapping orders at her hard-working Pokémon." (Today she's got a Nidoran female on a treadmill, and is clocking it with a stopwatch. Her Woobat hovers next to her, the water bottle balanced on a silver tray atop its head. It's wobbling.)

Alternatively, she's also begun scoping out potential missions - while she and her sister have some ideas up their sleeves, it wouldn't do to seem unambitious when there are actually some rather classy gentlemen higher up in this organization. So if you happen to work at/be visiting the Game Corner, she's poking around but doesn't look particularly impressed. ]

[It almost seems like that smirk never leaves his face around her, doesn't it? He's dressed to impress and balancing a few cocktail drinks on a tray with ease, bowing only slightly before gesturing to an empty table. Hey, he can be polite.]

[ She did not just get a little shiver of disgust at hearing your voice, nope, not her. Because you're just this measly little worm she needs to grind into paste someday, and therefore you have no effect on her at all.

She sits because she wants to and not because you told her to. Shoot, if you work here, then she can't....unless...hmm, this will take some thought. ]

Second-rate staff for a second-rate venue. Well, I suppose that can't be helped.

[ This is totally not the table you indicated she should sit at, by the way. She bypassed that one. Though unlike some people here, she isn't petty. ]

[Ren is relaxing in the common room from time to time. The situations you can bump into him are;

[OH gosh, oh gosh, oh gosh, oh gosh. She can't believe she lost him.]

Deneko!? [And while looking around, Haruka made her way into the game corner, seeing Ren reading a book. Oh! He might help her lo--wait. Oh gosh, no. She can't tell him that she lost the Shinx that he gave her! He was barely a week old, what was she to do? Hesitant, Haruka approached her friend.]

Training Area, Anytime

Diligence and effort are your greatest weapons now. You are not strong yet, but if I have something to do with it then you will become strong. You will not hesitate. You will strike hard and fast, with the training, technique, and discipline of masters. Now, again!

[The Bagon, Murkrow and Meowth before him nod seriously and launch themselves at Chase again, trying to get at him while he dodges, blocks and deflects their more physical strikes with ease. There is only so much battling he can put them through against other pokémon, but they will never learn any technique that way. Any subordinates of his are going to be the best of the best.

So there is Chase, using some of the combat mats in the training room while his pokémon continue to fight at him, and although progress is slow there is noticeable technique and strategy in their movements. Good...

Did we forget to mention that Chase is shirtless and in jogging pants while doing this? No sense in ruining the uniform during training, after all.

Beware, however. Interrupting the training session could be hazardous to one's health should they not give proper warning.]

[Well, Kneesocks was going to use this training area, but on finding it occupied, she stops for a moment to watch the performance. And judge it.

She knocks politely on the open door to announce her entrance before speaking.]

It would be more productive to pit them against each other. Their opponents are more likely to be other Pokémon, not humans.

[Oh dear, yet another reckless fighter. Archer has dealt with his fair share of those he lives with two of them, but this certainly looks like a promising new recruit. Archer doesn't interrupt at first, merely watching the training. His Alakazam is by his side, prepared to raise a Protect barrier should any stray attacks come their way.]

Recklessness will not get you far in this organization. Your Pokémon are best suited to sparring with one another.

[In the Training Area, Bowser can be found surrounded by hordes of his loyal minions, including a small troop of Squirtles and Wartortles, each wielding mallets that could deal serous damage with the right amount of force.

Bowser's training style consists of shouting for his team to hit hard above all else, and he's more than happy to brawl with his minions, particularly with all that muscle he's packing.

Perhaps the most jarring training sessions occur when Shell Smasher the Torterra rocks the place with her Earthquake, while Rex the Salamence rampages wildly, his tongue hanging out of his mouth.

When he's not training, Bowser can be found in an isolated room filled with cages. It's there that he and his Hypno wander over to a Swampert and some other Pokémon he'd previously acquired, the Hypno quietly waving his pendulum in front of their faces while a pale glow wraps its way around their bodies.

Bowser chuckles all the while.

Otherwise, he can be found mulling around just about anywhere with an assortment of Pokémon. The lounge, the hall, wherever! The sky is the limit.]

[Ilya's been making liberal use of the training area when not busy exploring Goldenrod or being lectured on how to be a proper Rocket. She hasn't had enough time to make either of her starters particularly strong, but both are showing promise and her Rhyhorn is particularly enthusiastic about battling. Which is probably unsurprising for a Pokemon named "Berserker".

So when she wanders in late afternoon to find it already in use, and by a great deal of powerful Pokemon at that, she's a little disappointed. But the opportunity to see all these strong fighters in action (she's particularly interested in the Steelix and the Torterra) overwhelms that, and she sits on the sidelines to watch, trying to stay out of the way.

Berserker, however, is much more eager to get involved, and after a few moments of watching he lets out a loud roar and bounds over to the nearest Pokemon.

Ilya is understandably distressed about this.]

Ah! Berserker, come back! You aren't ready for- Urgh, he's not listening. [She gropes at her side for her ball, ready to pull him back before he can get knocked out.]

[OOC: Pick whichever of Bowser's Pokemon you like for the headstrong Rhyhorn to be charging at.]

[This entire 'be a Rocket' deal is a bother to Masato, and his patience and energy is wearing down, but he's attempting to fit in for the time being. Another day of training and working with his pokémon has him following a little Karrablast down the halls. He's long since given up trying to get him to stay in the pokéball when he's done training - he's a very mature little bug that does what he wants, apparently.

And what that Karrablast wants is to explore just about every strange room around. That has Masato following him to a room hidden somewhere in the back, and curiosity drives Masato to walk a little faster. Hopefully just a quick peek in and quick peek out.

The cages startle the young boy, but he bites his tongue and just peeks in. This... is far more evil than he's expected, but... he may as well do a bit of snooping. His eyes land on Bowser, and he takes a small step in.]

[If your character visits the labs at any point, they will most likely find Dist there, working away on something. He'll either be at his desk inputting research data with a hoard of stones and items strewn about, or in one of the larger lab rooms working on some large machinery. What purpose do these machines serve? Well, you could always ask him. He doesn't bite...much.

He can also be found coming or going from the base, usually with his Roserade at his side. Either he's heading off on business or a training session. Why is this scenario so noteworthy? Well, his off-work attire is somewhat...eyecatching. Surely it's a conversation starter.]

[Ren had developed a habit of wandering around the base. It was always interesting to see what happened and maybe it would give him some information he could deliver to others. He didn't really participate in anything because science, how do you do that...

Today was just one of the days he was wandering. He spotted Dist and ... some odd machines. Whatever they were for.]

[Dimitri, another member of the science division, can naturally be found in the labs. He likes to tinker with small parts, picking them apart and putting them back together to get a clear understanding of how they work. He can also be found doing the same thing (although to a lesser extent) with his shiny Magnemite, who doesn't appear to mind being examined.

As stated in his last post, he can be approached to take on small projects for fellow members. If your character wants something small built like something to enhance Pokemon abilities, tracking devices, or other devices to record data, he can probably do it.

Other than the labs, on his time off he hangs out in the lounge, curled up with his ultra fluffy Mareep, reading random scientific publications from this world. Sometimes out of pure curiosity, he indulges in Pokemon world versions of classic literature. How different could A Tale of Two Skitties be?

And for something completely different, if your character is wandering outside the base, they may get blindsided by an antsy Murkrow looking for something to steal. If it's successful, your character should be able to track it down to Dimitri's dorm room where they can approach him about the lost items. He has a bad habit of letting that pesky bird roam free.]
