It's a day full of fun, friends, and festivities! The NO FOOLIN' Benefit Concert has been set, the microphones tested and on stage, the sound running smoothly, weather cooperative. Food stations are everywhere, ready to feed and rehydrate everyone who's in the area, and the musicians have been given free reign to everywhere.

Throughout the day, live footage will be broadcasted on TV Channel 14, and video and CD recordings will be available for purchase at the end.

So swing your Gear at a donation station and enjoy the concert!

[After he'd recovered from his own jittery nerves when the show was done, Dave goes hunting for Dirk. He'd seen him race off, but not where. It had been both a courtesy and a need to go find his own place that prevented him from looking for him sooner. The trail takes him outside.

Luckily, he'd stopped along the way to claim a bottle of orange soda. He figured the familiar might help. His approach isn't quiet, giving Dirk time to compose himself. When he appears in his teen bro's field of vision he's calm and holding out the soda.]

Figured you could use it. I'm on a strictly apple juice diet.

[Dirk's had enough time that he isn't quite so twitchy, by the time that Dave comes out to find him. He doesn't want to leave more when Dave comes up, at least. And he nods and reaches out to take the soda.]

Thanks, dude.

[His hands still feel kind of shaky, but he gets the cap off and takes a sip without any trouble.]

[Dave takes a swig of his own water bottle before he speaks up again.] That was crazy. How the fuck do people do that every day?

[Dirk is a peer, and thus it's perfectly fine to talk to him about what they were both thinking about. Not like he wasn't thinking it too.]

Maybe there used to it. Fuck if I know. You'd have to ask your Bro.

[If anyone ever needed proof that he and Bro aren't the same person, this is probably more than enough for them.]

He'd turn it into some mindgame of 'if you can't guess why then you're not ready'. [Dave is used to stuff like that even if it annoys him a lot more than it used to. He rakes his hair back once and breathes out.] Really is different to be up there.

[If he had to do it a lot he'd adjust. But.] Ugh. I don't even want to think about it anymore. [He takes another swig of his water before adding.] Probably should eat before we get going.

Fuck him. [It's mostly said lightly, but Dirk's maybe just a bit sore about the look Bro gave him after he froze up.]

You hungry? [Somewhere in his brain he knows he should probably get food, but his stomach is kind of rebelling against that idea. But going somewhere with Dave is a better option than just hanging around here like a tool.]

Nope. But if I don't eat now, probably will be ravenous on the way back. Hail being a growing teenager. [His stomach doesn't even want to think of food but he's going to slowly eat something anyway. It's worked a lot in the past.] Might just grab fries, you know, something small.

[He checks his wallet then tucks it back into his back pocket.] Or we could just grab something to take with us and eat later on the way.

Let's face facts, of all the things you can be, a growing teenager is not one of the best.

Thank fuck for takeout. Fries sound good. [Something he can nibble on and be distracted by does actually sound nice, even if he's still hesitant about a meal.]

Cool. Let's grab that now while we're thinking on it. [He takes a step back to give Dirk some room and starts to head out, checking the gear once to be sure he's got the right directions. His stomach does an unpleasant little flip reminding him that he is going to have to answer to Bro (eventually) for how he froze.

Or Bro didn't see it because both of his partners were two kids who had never been thrust into that kind of society pressure. Hahahaha, oh fuck.]

[Dirk pushes himself to his feet, pauses to brush down his pants, and follows with his hands shoved into his pockets- as close as he can get to pretending he wasn't just mentally flaying himself.]

Hell. Maybe I just won't feel bad about the fucking Munchlax any more.
