It's a day full of fun, friends, and festivities! The NO FOOLIN' Benefit Concert has been set, the microphones tested and on stage, the sound running smoothly, weather cooperative. Food stations are everywhere, ready to feed and rehydrate everyone who's in the area, and the musicians have been given free reign to everywhere.

Throughout the day, live footage will be broadcasted on TV Channel 14, and video and CD recordings will be available for purchase at the end.

[ Ren almost distracted him but he managed to finish up really well, and so he'll give a wave before making his way over to where Ren is. ]

STOP CALLING ME "LITTLE"!! Stop mocking me, too!!

-- I definitely know what I'm doing! [ and he crosses his arms with a "hmph". ] Especially when it comes to the violin, you know!!

[ well, he still feels Natsuki's better than him at it... but he does his best with it, all the same. ]

[It's a genuine praise, believe it or not.] This must have been the first time I heard you play.

[ Shou hesitates, at both the compliment and the statement. He's not quite sure how to respond at first, until he'll uncross his arms and glance away. ]

[ ...he doesn't really want to talk about it with Ren at all, since he bets Ren will hardly be sympathetic. But -- well, at least he's not expecting sympathy anyway. ]

I wasn't good enough. Not compared to Natsuki, anyway.

[ raising his gaze to glare, now -- ]

Okay...? I guess playing the same instrument can be a bit tricky. Though you shouldn't let Shinomiya's performance affect yours. Just improve one step at a time.

You're right, I don't and most likely never will. My rivalries with others aren't instrument related, so I don't know how it feels to compete with someone like that.

[Not many saxophonists his age around there.] But if I would be in your position, I wouldn't give up. No matter if you can't ever overtake him - you can get better just by trying to achieve his level.

[ and now Shou curses under his breath, squeezing his eyes shut and clenching his fists -- Ren's confident words definitely hit some nerves -- ]
