A Rest In Olivine
Who: Steve, Tony, Thor, Imogen, Danny, and anyone else in Olivine that wants to pop in.
Where: Olivine
When: May 2nd til we decide to leave
Summary: The AvengerBros and Imogen arrive in Olivine and plan to stick around a while, and stay with Danny.
Rating: PG to be safe, but if it goes beyond that, it will be noted.
Log:
Olivine is full of food and wine and good times, it's a lovely city right on the water. It's considered a romantic city, probably because of the good date spots, wine, and the water.
Have at it guys, put up some threads, have people reply, and good times! Only planned things happening during their time here is Danny meetIng the superheroes, otherwise the freedom is yours.

Imogen considers a good plan over type advantage. Most of the time, that would be the way to go. Bugsy's team was easily exploited by how powerful Aglon was, and Whitney's defeat came from her ability to work a complicated control over Whitney's two stars. "Types do factor in, because types have strategies they like. Strengths to play toward. Speed will be in my favor but... unless I pick correctly that speed won't help me dent their armor."
"You would know about armor being effective, right?"

Tony couldn't stop himself from giving her a withering look. Because really, if there's one thing Tony Stark knows about it's steel, even if it wasn't for the Iron Man armour he would still know from his degrees in Engineering and working on cars. If there's a metal, Tony knows about it and how to break it.
"And practicing against something faster than their pokemon would only help, a 0.9 caliber bullet can still make it halfway into a truck engine, and it's not overly bit, just fast."

While faster opponents, generally, made for a better training. There was something to be said for precise timing on all things. She would rather know ahead of time how a Steelix moves, instead of having to adjust mid fight. He knew metal, she was getting pretty good at this Pokemon stuff. But... he did know a thing or two about metal, she had to give him that. Maybe she should use that.
"If you say so... but none of my Pokemon are very bullet-like. And I don't like the idea of some of my Pokemon fighting when taking any hit from Jasmine's Steelix might take them out instantly." Steelix was big and slow, but it could hit very hard, and Earthquake wasn't a move that needed much aiming. It was pretty much the part of the equation she had to think the hardest on, like Whitney's Miltank. "How would you try to take out a Gym Leader's galvanized conga line?"

Tony shrugs, he's never really been one to plan fights ahead. At best he plans his moves leading up to a fight, then just wings the fight itself. It's always worked so he doesn't feel the need to fix that.

"...Maybe I should give this more thought."

Let's face it, Tony's still and engineer and scientist over understanding how Pokémon really work. Silly man.

"And I doubt anyone local would think of doing that in a battle. Most of the non-gym trainers are pretty basic in their battling," It kinda bothered her, made her almost feel her tricks could be cheating. "Announcing attacks openly? Who thought that was a good idea?"
no subject
Tony was never one to think magic existed outside Las Vegas and carnivals. So really he's not going to start believing in magic while here.As for everything else, really it's all about stratergy.
"Well when everyone else is being basic, the best way to win is to be creative as hell. And hey, it works in the military, and for sheepdogs. They calling out attacks things."
no subject
"Well creative I can definitely do!" She dance-wiggled a bit to accentuate she was pretty much walking creativity. She still didn't see how calling commands out worked in this example, the military usually had distance and numbers... while sheep didn't normally speak English. "I've figured out things for the other gyms. I can do this one."

He raises his eyebrows at her dance wiggle.
"And now you're in a pop video now, look at that." He only half mumbles.
"Well, hey, as long as you've got a plan in motion and win, I'm all in support there."
