[OPEN TO ROCKETS] Run, run, as fast as you can!
Who: Vanellope von Schweetz and ANYONE AT THE BASE.
Where: Goldenrod City - Rocket base.
When: May 21st - after the day's newbie training.
Summary: Vanellope's got a real bed. Time to check out the rest of her new digs.
Rating: A for Adorable? I will put something real here if anything comes up.
Log:
[There's a cute little girl running around the Rocket base. ...Why in the world is there a cute little girl running around the Rocket base.
Well, for one: she's bored. Two: nobody's tried to kick her out, yet. And three: how the heck did she get here, this wasn't Diet Cola Mountain at all. It wasn't anywhere in Sugar Rush Speedway, which would be impossible. It's time to find the station gate around here and try to go back through it, even if she wouldn't necessarily mind staying a while, what with having something more comfortable than a candy wrapper to curl up in at night.
Unfortunately, all her zipping around just keeps getting her lost. Even the Zubat following her around doesn't really seem to know where they are.]

[-why was there a random child running around the Rocket base?]
[And did he really want to make it his problem?]
[Not really. But at least he could be a decent human being and warn her.]
Hey, hey, HEY! Slow it down, squirt! Floor's slippery!
[There, now nobody could say he didn't do anything.]
[action]
There you aaAAAAAAUGH! RALPH, HELP!
[SWEET CINNAMON ROLLS, LET HER CLING TO THAT ARM OF YOURS.]
[action]
[Ralph moves his bucket so at least the kid doesn't get a concussion. Concussions were a thing in this world and nobody liked them.]
[action]
I knew you'd be here somewhere. What are you doing, put that stuff down, we got things to work out!
[Really, don't mind this child trying to drag you off down the hall, I'm sure it's nothing.]
[action]
Now hold on just a darn minute. You're not supposed to be here, this isn't a place for little kids. And how do you know my name?
[action]
What the...? Come on, it's me, brainiac. Your coding get scrambled or something?
[She had assumed going into the unfinished level would be a safe hideout, but maybe that was glitch privilege. Getting teleported to an entirely different location had seemed more than a bit odd.]
[action]
[And hold the phone. This shrimp was using gamespeak. So instead of snapping, he turns his head so that he can look at her with one eye at a time.]
Nnnnnno, my coding is just fine, thanks. Who are you?
[action]
I know your sense of humor is the size of a Dippin' Dot, but even you should know this isn't very funny, Ralph. Cut it out or I'm gunna kick you!
[action]
[It's Ralph's turn to frown right back at her. He makes the mistake of leaning down.]
I. Don't. Know you, kid. How'd you get in here? This is not a place for kids.
[action]
I don't KNOW how I got here, and I'm NOT a kid, I'm VANELLOPE.
[action]
[He was not expecting that. And he was not expecting it to hurt so much. Real world bruises! Ow ow! He hobbles back before taking up his mop in self defense.]
[What she said at least explained why she was in here.]
Just wound up in this weird game, huh? [Pause.] They didn't make you a Rocket, did they?
[action]
Yes. [Still doesn't sound all too happy.] What they 'made' me doesn't matter--how did I get here, Ralph? I can't leave! And what's wrong with you?
[action]
Uuugh, what's wrong with this place? Little kids aren't supposed to be bad guys... [His attention swaps back around again though.] The way it was explained t'me is that this game we're in is busted. Nobody can leave--not on purpose anyway how do you know my name?
[He'd given up on meeting anybody from the same arcade after that awkward turtle conversation with Bowser.]

There are two.
The second is less running and more sauntering, however. Ilya's just visiting the base today, mostly using the training facilities to buff up her Pokes. She and her starter are breaking for the moment to go wander down to the cafeteria when they turn the corner...
At which point Ilya crashes headlong into Vanellope, yelping at the impact and toppling over backward. Berserker lets out an immediate growl of surprise and anger only to be briefly distracted by the Zubat flying into his face.]
Owww! Hey, watch where you're-
[Ilya stops mid-sentence as she looks at who she just bumped into. Well, this is new. She's never seen anyone else her size in TR base before.]
... Going.
[Action]
Vanellope, on the other hand, isn't worried at all--she's smiling, actually--until she also takes stock of the situation.
...Kids her age didn't tend to play nicely. Especially if they had white-blonde hair.]
I think you'll find I had the right-of-way, here. The bat can vouch for me.
[Action]
Seems Berserker disagrees. But either way, don't go running in the base. You'll get yourself into trouble, like I did riding him through town when I arrived.
[Dusting herself off, Ilya folds her arms and looks Vanellope over.] You're new, aren't you?
[Action]
What? But running's way better! You see more stuff. [Vanellope sweeps her bangs off to the side again, looking over Ilya.] To this game? Yeah, guess so. Arrived here yesterday.
[Action]
No, you just see it a little faster. Until you bump into someone and fall over and then you aren't seeing anything new for a while.
[But, hmmm, she's not the first one to have called Johto a "game" that Ilya's talked to. Time to go out on a limb here...] Do you know a huge man named Ralph?
[Action]
[SHRUG. Walking was still worse that her method, in her opinion.
The question she's a bit more curious about, though, if the critical eye is anything to go by.]
...You Alice or somethin'?
[Action]
[Action]
Oh, good! Well, Ilya, I'm Vanellope.
[Wow, Ralph was not kidding when he said some people here had their coding screwed with so bad that they forgot they were characters. Looks like she and him got off easy, this time.]
Nnnevermind then. It's just a thing from...where we're from. Anyway, what's that huge thing? [She points up at Berserker, even if...there's really nothing else she could be referring to.] It's way bigger than Booger Bat, here.
[Action]
That's Berserker. He's what's called a Rhydon, and he's my starter. Well, one of them. Orpheus is in his ball right now because he wouldn't stop practicing his shrieking.
Berserker's just as strong as he looks, and he can get pretty dangerous if you make him mad, but don't worry too much! I've got him under control.
[Action]
[She gives Berserker another look over, eying him from top to bottom.]
You said you ride him, right? He fast?
[Action]
[She doesn't seem too upset about this fact, judging by that wide smile.]
[Action]
Definitely like Ralph. Where can I get one of these?
