Who: Hope Estheim (eagletalons), Steve Rogers (starspangledavenger) and Carol Danvers (tookthename).
Where: Violet, and then wherever they will be on the 4th.
When: June 28th, and July 4. Two days in one log!
Summary: A science man and an Avenger had a meet scheduled for July-- cue science man traveling to get there on time. But apparently Avenger is a lot closer than he thought.
Rating: GP I suppose? To be edited when necessary.

Splitting this thing into two master threads for the two days so we wont spam the comm with our characters and any dorkiness/angst that may occur in the future!

Warning: The second thread contains spoilers for FFXIII, FFXIII-2, and Captain America: The First Avenger.

[Steve is wandering the city, he knows they're probably leaving today so he's letting Margret, his Absol, stretch her legs since she's not the most fond of long periods of travel on her feet.

Margret yips at the sky, causing Steve to look up too, trying to spot the creature that's caught her attention. What he sees is a cloud and... is that Hope? Amber, who's curled around his neck, looks up too, chirping happily. Steve decides to call out to the person and check for sure one way or another.]

[Hope cant hear it much unfortunately, because he's busy looking around to get his bearings, but Siren does, and it's a giant surprise to him when she starts floating downward.]

Siren, what are you--

[Well then. That somewhat simplifies things.]

Hello Steve. [Fancy meeting you about a week in advance.]

[Carol walks up next to Steve just as Siren lands. Helen takes off from her shoulder and goes over to inspect the large cloud bird. She's suddenly glad she left Boston in his ball. No need to bother the other pokémon with more hyperactive bird.

Carol extends a hand.]

Carol Danvers. I'm traveling with Steve.

[Steve grins at Hope and lets Carol and him make their introductions before speaking up]

I was just thinking of calling you this morning to suggest a closer meeting place since plans changed, but this solves that. [looks at Carol] Hope and I planned to meet up a week from now and shoot the breeze.

[Margret sits besides Steve and studies Hope closely as Amber chirps happily at Hope in greeting]

Hope Estheim. [Hope shakes Carol's hand as soon as he gets off his Altaria's back-- glove still on, though. Oops.

He also waves his hand at Amber and Margaret-- the Absol seems to have taken after her mother instead of her father, thank goodness.]

I can work with this though. I'd already told my sisters that I would be away for a few weeks.

[Carol doesn't mind the glove. Everyone she knew wears gloves. She gives his hand a firm shake.]

We can stay in town a bit longer if you want. I still need to get the Violet gym badge.

[When Hope speaks Carol smiles]

You have family here as well?

Yes. ['All but in blood' he doesn't say.]

Though for now I'm with you two. [Who look like family, to be honest. It's probably the hair color. Of course, he's not making assumptions.]

Sticking around for a couple more days would be nice, thanks. [He gives Carol a smile. And no, it's not because the snowstorm yesterday makes him want to wait a couple days to see if it'll happen again]

You're welcome to stay with us as long as you want, Hope. [Though he assumes Hope will probably leave soon after the 4th and get back to his sisters, but the invitation still stands]

[Yeah, that snow storm was really weird and Carol wasn't to keen on getting out just to get stuck in another one. She also understands if Steve has any aversion to things like snow and ice.]

Yeah, it seems those three are already getting along pretty well.

[She nods over to where both Boston and Helen are happily nestled in the Altaria's fluff.]

Ah, yes-- Siren's friendly to everyone. But thank you for the offer-- I'll be sticking around for a couple of weeks at the least.

[May be able to give some gym advice too.]

[Oddly enough, Steve is really glad the three Pokemon are getting along too, because he just knows Grace is going to dislike them. She always does.

Steve smiles when Hope says he'll be around for a couple weeks]

Good. So, how was traveling in the snowstorm?

[Hope shakes his head-- his body language for utterly horrible.]

My two Rapidash refused to go out in the snow, so we had had to wait till the weather calmed down before moving on. When it became clear enough, I started to use Siren.

[Waves a hand at the Pokémon, and Siren trills where she stands.]

Do freak snowstorms like that happen often?

[When Siren trills Helen and Boston feel the need to speak up as well. You know, incase someone forgot they were there.]

[Oh, that's right-- they haven't had such unstable weather in a while, and Carol is too new to have experienced others aside from the snow storm.]

Weather in this world tends to be very unpredictable. Hail and thunder storms can suddenly follow several days of sun even if the season is not right, so I'm not surprised in the least that it snowed during the beginning of summer.

I don't know what's more disturbing; the fact that we just had a snow storm in the middle of summer, or the fact that apparently that's the norm.

Well, it was a bit of a surprise to wake up to a snowstorm, so seems, I haven't been around for any weather changes that extreme. Another oddity to add to the list it seems. [Steve's resigned himself to the strange happenings of this world]

I have. [The tone of his voice is all they need to know that some of them aren't pleasant at all.]

At the very least, it's clear right now.

Speaking of oddities, has anyone else had problems with the ledges, or is that just me.

[Because nothing frustrated her more on her treck than finding she could jump down from ledges, but for some reason could not climb back up them. Even though they were no more than three feet high. Seriously, who thought that was a good idea?]

Ledges are physically impossible to climb. Don't know why.

[They just are.]

It's one of the strange things in this world. The weather, ledges, people appearing and disappearing, Pokémon coming from eggs, and such.

It seemingly doesn't make sense, even though it should. [Hope knows though-- he's just. He's just not saying anything about it, because he wants all the facts down.] I've been researching for a while, but have yet to make any significant breakthroughs.

[Technically true. He never made a breakthrough, someone else had done that-- it's a good thing he's gotten very good at omission, so he can say this as if it were completely true.]

Sounds like you've been busy. Have you been though the gyms yet?

[Carol likes the idea that someone's actually looking into what's going on.]

All of the gyms in this region, actually. But no, they do nothing except allow trainers and their Pokemon to use certain moves outside of battle, nothing more.

[And for Hope as a breeder? Purely ornamental.]

The first badge lets you fly on certain Pokemon.

[it's one of the only ones he really cares to get besides surf]

That's pretty impressive. So what do you do now?

[Carol mostly just wants them to say she has them. She doesn't like being here but while she's here she might as well.]

Currently? Working on challenging the gym leaders in Kanto. There's not much else to do, really, once you've explored the entirety of Johto.

[Which he's obviously done.]
