Summary: Sasuke gets a birthday party whether he wants one or not. Lucky for him, he has friends (in spite of his best efforts) who'll plan one.
Rating: G? PG for violence

[ooc; general mingle log for Blackthorn City/Sasuke's birthday. Most of it will probably take place at the hotsprings itself, though like the 'who' says, it's completely open to anyone just walking by and wondering what the big deal is, or someone who's already there and then has their pleasant soak interrupted by a bunch of dumb ninjas.]

She stands there. Smiling. For a great ten seconds.... before her eyes narrow and her brow furrows in annoyance. ]

What!? You aren't going to see what's inside? C'mon! You have to! [ Also she's going to be reaching for those cat ears. ] And what the hell are you doing wearing these, anyways? If you want to celebrate, wear one of the hats. They make you look like you fit in. [ Says the girl wearing a tentacool on her head... ]

[There's no resistance to her taking the cat ears, thank the gods she's taking the thing away! He sighs a bit, though, trying to seem more put-out before complying with her wish and opening the pokéball to reveal... A numel.

Which admittedly is a pokémon Sasuke hasn't seen before so he may be just a little confused as he crouches down to look it over.]

Anyways, this guy is called a Numel. It's apparently numb to pain and can carry heavy loads. However, it also stores about two-thousand degreed magma in its hump. I thought you might like it.

[He's been shown mercy! He blinks at the action before relaxing, his attention turning back to the numel before him as he reaches to pet it. At least it seems friendly enough.]

I'll look more into it. I'm sure I can find ways to utilize it.

No problem! You should really put on a party hat and blend in with the rest of them, though. I'd wear one myself but I already have a hat. [ Tentacool will wave a tentacle before gently placing his tentacle on Sasuke's head in some weird affectionate manner. ]

Do I look like some feeble weakling? I sometimes had to sleep outside in the rain while mudslides were happening. I've walked in blizzards and I've ran in heat waves! Any weather that comes my way isn't going to stop me no matter what I'm dressed as. [ She pauses awkwardly. ]

I mentioned it because I only heard of snow being in the Land of Iron before. I wasn't sure if you'd be ready for it here or not.

Oh... [ Well, this is ironic, in many ways. ]

I've been to the Land of Iron, but, in all honesty, it wasn't as cold as some islands off the Land of Water that practice exclusively ice and snow type techniques. That was freezing. Orochimaru was useless there because he kept passing out.

[ Sasuke being considerate.... against one of the most headstrong, inconsiderate people in the series. #justhisluck. ]

[Orochimaru? It takes him a moment to remember that, yeah, there was a time when the man was once loyal to Konoha - and that Tsunade was deemed a Sannin with Orochimaru and Jiraiya, so it wasn't that far of a leap to consider that they were on the same team.]
