Summary: It's Ishimaru's birthday and his classmates are throwing him a surprise party. This can't end badly.
Rating: PG-13 for language. I'll update this if there are any changes!

Never again. Mondo is never planning a party this big ever again. Of course the original plan didn't take into account the arrival of five classmates, so originally this would have been easy enough to handle. Now, though? He'd practically run himself ragged making sure that everyone was here and everything was ready.

The hotel was kind enough to lend them the Conference Room for the occasion, and it was quite a large room that should easily fit all of the Hope's Peak classmates and Alice. All the food is spread out on a table by the wall (it's entirely vegetarian, since that's what Ishimaru likes) and the tables are situated nearby so that the guests can actually sit and eat. There's plenty of open space in case anyone wants to dance to the music that's been set up (though Mondo doubts Ishimaru will set foot on the dance floor, it's mostly to entertain the other guests). The gifts are all piled in the back corner and there's even a large TV for the guests to watch. All in all, it seems like the perfect place to hold a party.

All that's left is for Fujisaki to bring Ishimaru to the location, so Mondo fires off a quick text to his friend, letting Fujisaki know that everyone's ready and in position. This is gonna be awesome.

Yep! I had to make some last minute adjustments when five of our classmates showed up, but everything worked out fine!

[Well, with the tears and everything, he supposes Ishimaru must find it overwhelming.]

You wanna step outside for a moment?

[He's already nodding agreement, but still...]

Nah, I'm sure they won't notice!

[And with that, he gets up and steers Ishimaru in the direction of the door.]

Didn't mean to overwhelm you, but I figured this'd be a great occasion to get everyone together!

And I definitely appreciate that - that's what's important to me, that everyone can spend time together.

[He hesitates for a moment, though he's still more than content to follow Mondo out of the room.]

We've never really gotten to do that. Not that we can remember. So this is good.

[diamondo]

Yeah! It's a start, at least! We'll throw a huge fucking party once everyone's here. We might not have our memories of those two years, but we can make plenty of new ones here!

[ardent]

That's true, isn't it!

[It seems to placate him on the matter for now, anyway.]

Have things been all right for you? I know that Celes-kun's presence tends to be a bit difficult.

Yeah, things have been alright. I stay outta her way and she stays outta mine, so things are fine.

Yes, of course. You don't have to worry about me, kyoudai; she won't do anything. I'm more concerned about you, anyway - you said she made some comments toward you when she arrived?

Ah, yeah, it's nothing. Not a big deal.

[He waves it off as best he can; he doesn't want to bother Ishimaru with what she said.]

...All right.

[It's not the most graceful way of dropping it; it's heavy and awkward, but at least he's leaving it alone, content with wandering the length of the hall for the time being - it's blissfully uncrowded out here.]

[Mondo lets out a sigh of relief and picks up the pace, shoving the doors open and stepping outside. As much as he enjoys being in the company of the others, it is nice to spend some alone time with Ishimaru.]

I'm glad you're enjoying yourself, even if you did get a little overwhelmed!

Of course I am, kyoudai; this has been really amazing so far.

[That said, the outside is nice; the heat of the day has long broken, lending a coolness to the air, and he takes a moment to just enjoy it.]
