Who: Tim Drake, Cassie Sandsmark, Dick Grayson
Where: Violet City
When: Sometime last week
Summary: A fateful meeting (in which Tim denies everything Dick is claiming and Cass is happily confused)
Rating: PG
Log:
[There were plans on moving again, sooner or later, though Tim was still stumped about how he feels about that thought knowing what he knows. Dick was in this city with them, going along with a girl named Katara he spoke through the gear. Nice girl, really friendly, didn't seem to know Robin and Dick were the same person. Still.
There's the problem in his head. If they move, then eventually he'll part ways with him. Not that he's complaining about a trip with Cassie, because the nice thing about being in Johto is that they actually have enough time to actually date and not just hope that they can have missions together to count for that. Living in two completely different cities with different timezones would've been one of the challenges they'd have faced back home (barring trying not to get killed every other week) had they been together longer, but that was moot here.
So yes, he's happy to spend as much time with his best friend/girlfriend/partner as he could, but this was his brother. Brother who didn't know he had a brother because time gaps and Tim didn't think it was appropriate to just go forth and tell him "Hey, just so you know, I'm your adopted brother in five years. I'll also be taking your current mantle by then." No. He's heard stories, albeit he didn't believe all of them, but he's heard stories. Besides, there's a matter of time distortion and possibly altering the future and how did Bart even do this?
So Tim settled for keeping an eye on him. Sometimes. Not always. He sometimes had a job to do, but during his free time he kind of skirts around in corners and hard to see places just to check up on him. No big deal. Okay, others would call it stalking, he calls it concern and the need to gather data. Cassie doesn't know, and will never know if he could help it, but it makes him feel better just watching Dick from afar and knowing he's doing well.
Well, that was before last night where he gave him the slip. Sure, he's been showing signs of suspicion, but he's never outright given Tim the slip. Which means it's probably a good time to try not to make him more paranoid. Besides, Dick wouldn't figure it's him right?
And all this is happening in his head while he waits for Cassie to finish getting ready as he stands outside the inn, playing with Marsh who was strangely in a good mood as his own paranoia kicks in for any signs of mad robins and flying batarangs.]

Gods, this would be easier if he's not remembering that Dick should be old-- except he is not going there because eww no, Dick, she's too young for you focus Tim.]
Good morning. [He manages to slip on a poker face, feeling a little defeated. Great. He wasn't quite ready to meet him yet.] I'm surprised to see you out and about so early. Going somewhere? [Take the focus off of them, please.]

I mean, wouldn't it be easier to just follow me after this? I was beginning to think you didn't want me to know you were there.

Still totally lost, here...
[Just in case that part wasn't clear. She looks at Tim.]
You followed him?
