[Just over a week since Naruto's announcement to all of Johto and Kanto that his birthday was coming up, the day had finally arrived.

Not too many people were expected to show up (since he did invite EVERYONE) and they'd managed to rent a function room in one of Goldenrod's restaurants for the day. There's plenty of chairs and tables, food, music playing and room to dance if people so wish, you know regular old party stuff.]

[She shoves the box toward him with a wide smile.]

Open it, open it!

[Inside he'll find the TM for Water Pulse and a pair of what had once been metal chopsticks. That had since been sharpened and were definitely not something that the Johto police would be amused by.]

[He pulls out the TM first, grinning at it. And then the chopsticks, which even he can understand why they look so sharp.]

Did you get lots of good presents so far?

Yeah! Especially in this place y'know? [Not being allowed to have weapons is stranger than capturing magical animals tbh]

And yeah! I got whole bunch of different stuff already. Clothes, and Pokemon, other stuff... a lot!

Oh, Pokémon!

[Speaking of Pokémon, one of her Arcanines is running around your party unattended. Hope you don't mind.]

What kind've Pokémon?

Oh! Well I got a... uh.. Drillbur! Yeah, one of those from Rainbow Dash, but I ain't named it yet. And Dave gave me an Axew! It's a dragon!

[She narrows her eyes.]

'S it a real dragon, or is it another one of those fat bats?

Uh.. a real one. Here, take a look!

[Give him a sec to take out one that he already has on his team.]

See? I reckon it's gonna grow to be a proper looking dragon.

[She lets out a bit of a pleased squeal, dropping into a crouch to offer her fingers to the Axew.]

You do look like you're gonna be a real dragon! You'd better not turn out dumb-lookin', you hear?

[He smiles as he watches her chat to the pokemon.]
