[Well, this was... Not what Winry had expected, though she's not even sure what she expected to see here. Needing all the colors to open the door? Sure, that wasn't surprising at all, but everything else surprised her more or less. Especially the part of her Audino, Altaria and Eevee not wanting to fight against that thing. What? W-Was it that scary? Okay, it was, she had to admit it too, but those three had never refused – or looked that scared before. Oh, except Skye the Altaria back in Mahogany Town, when it was still a very tiny Swablu on Winry’s first weeks on her first round in Johto.

She just decided to recall them all, just on time for some of the lesser monsters from the big monster to appear near her. Oh sh--! Wait, people were fighting against these things somehow. Powers? How --. Well, she didn’t have time to think about that right now, instead it was a good timing to try if she got any powers. If they were given at random again, then maybe she’d have some luck...

Nothing was happening, she didn't feel any different – or much different anyway, not enough to notice it. Except for the weird little glow in her hands for a moment soon after she got here, now it was gone too. Maybe it had just been some glow from the sigil, in a different color, but still.

So, no powers for her and those monster-things were coming closer. What do?

Screaming out loud and running away from them, that's what Winry is going to do. Not that she's trying to run away from the place, because maybe she could help somehow anyway. At least she hoped so, though it didn't really include being a bait for these things... Ah, and this really wasn't the best place to run away from anything, but was there really else she could do?]

[OOC: Healing / Supporting powers! If your character needs healing or more energy, Winry is one option? ...She will help anyone. :D]

_{[Considering everything else that had happened during the last couple days, Bertholdt wasn't going to question the reappearance of his Maneuver Gear.

While he wasn't too afraid of the Titans that ruled his home, there was something unsettling about the not-a-Titan!Chernobog in the center of everything. Instead of dealing with it directly, he chose to at least take care of the smaller guys. Fortunately he had more than enough gas to propel himself from one end of the room to the other towards the largest monster chasing after Winry. Killing it and it's buddies was easy enough, but there was definitely something 'off' about all of this--he shouldn't have stumbled like he did when his feet touched the ground.

Little did he know that the more gas he used, the more it drained his dream batteries. He'd pass it off as general fatigue, but that little 'oops' was going to bother him.]}

Are you okay?

[She shouldn't feel bad for the monsters, right? It's probably just that she is far from a killer, and the fact that monsters here sort of remind her of so called monsters back home. But what else could they do in a situation like this than more, and more serious, monster-bashing? The feeling goes mostly away pretty fast anyway, there's no time to feel bad for them. Much. Or it could be just the fact that she feels bad for all the violence and killing in general here.

She gave a quick, relieved smile to her savior.] Yeah, I'm okay, thanks to you. ...Are you okay?

[A girl screaming and running from monsters? That'a a cue Dave takes to step right into the path of the monsters chasing her and wreck hell on their day. His blade downs the first before the rest have an idea what is among them and splitting them apart.

He loves his speed being back so much he might shed a single tear. Only not really.

He whips the blade up, striking at the chest and throat of the last, harrowing it back and takes it down with two that thought to charge in. He straightens up, breathing a bit harder than he had moments ago and rests the edge his blade against his shoulder.] Yo. Sorry I was late. All these jokers just didn't want to move and I had to boot them out of the way.

[Those poor monsters... Nhah, it's most likely just Winry feeling bad for seeing violence and not feeling bad for them. But wow, that's a one fast guy.

She'll just look a bit away while he's striking at its chest and throat, thanks.]

I-It's not like you were late, I mean those things just keep coming from there. [Pointing at the big bad boss. At least it seems like they're all coming from there.] Um, I mean thank you! Very much.

[He glances towards the Big Bad Boss and frowns. It hasn't moved. All he can wonder is why.]

Probably will keep coming even when it gets up and finally shakes the ground. [She'd been running from the things and that means she's not a fighter.] K, you know anywhere in this room you want to go right now? Or to the exit to this room.

Either way. I'll escort you if you want. They're not going stop trying to make some pieces out of you.

[Envy's been fighting the smaller monsters and then jumping over to stab at the big one when he can. But he's been using a lot of his strength and healing, and he's left his right forearm transformed into a blade for long enough that it's starting to get really and truly draining.]

[When he sees Winry running nearby, he jumps over to stab one of the monsters that's after her through the side, and then takes care of the others. While he's doing his monster killing he might as well keep someone he's on decent terms with from getting eaten. But by the time that's over, he's nearly swaying on his feet from exhaustion.]

Don't you have any kind of weapon?

[Running away from them as fast as she can, and why can't she magically just have some kind of fighting skills or a weapon?! ...No, not weapons. Weapons are bad.

She could try hitting them with her wrench, it sort of worked upstairs whenever she hit as hard as she can.]

[...No, wait. What's going on? Someone jumping over and doing -- something. She stops for a bit, to take a look.]

[Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis that Envy? And what has he done to his arm?

It kind of looks like what Ed sometimes does to her automails.]

[No but, really? Is that really, really Envy, who jumped there and is now fighting those and -- he's just doing that for the fight, right?

It's not like she doesn't appreciate it, it's just confusing. Shouldn't he just let monsters eat her? Maybe he didn't see her, maybe he's only seeing those monsters right now. That would make more sense.]

[But she can see the exhaustion by the time he's finished with those. Uh, and seeing violence and all that is bad for a girl like her, but whatever in situation like this.

Winry is about to ask if he's okay.]

[...Sorry, you just make her mood swing. She'll get over this soon enough.]

Well, yeah, I'm obviously hiding something --

huge, long-range weapon in my pocket and I was ~just~ about to take it away from there.

[Actually, there's her wrench and considering how she can throw it from her balcony straight to Ed's head, it -- counts back home, but only to one person (probably) and... yeah no.]

I mean no, I don't. I guess weapons and me aren't a thing anywhere, even here.

[It doesn't even really cross her mind to wish for one, nor does she know what kind of power she'd wish for if she was supposed to attack these things.]

[Oh, but hey, as usual, she's calm in the next moment.]

That's not -- [how she wanted to say it, or what she wanted to say at all.] -- I was going to say... Thank you, for saving.

[For whatever reason he did that, but he did save her anyway. She's still confused, and realizing it is even more confusing.

Anyway, she's also keeping an eye on him, keeping in mind how exhausted he might be after that and all other fighting he's probably done here.]

[Envy looks almost amused at that small outburst there, but then looks awkward for a second at her thanking him. He's wound up getting a lot of practice saving people over his time in Johto; if he'd come straight from home then he would have just left her to get chased. But it still feels weird to him when it gets pointed out. So he waves it off, looking as casual as he can. Nothing to see here, no remotely good deeds anywhere!]

Yeah, well it wasn't a big deal. You were running right near me, I figured I might as well.

[He pauses trying to think of a distraction, then pulls his bag around so he can dig through it with his non-blade hand. He pulls out one of the sharper daggers he pilfered from the armory, and holds it out for her to take.]

Here, I don't need it anymore with my powers back.

[It's good that he'd be amused, because then she doesn't have to feel bad for it. But if she felt bad every time when her temper goes from zero to hundred, she'd have to feel that way all too often. No hard feelings about giving out her opinions on stuff, even if they come out with a mix of her hot-temper in them!]

I figured. [But still. No, not going to repeat it.]

[She'll be staring at that dagger. Weapon. It could hurt people, or those monsters in this case.

I-It's not like I don't appreciate the offer, but [...] I'm not really a weapon user type of person.

[Let's pretend that the thing she just said made sense. Also just give it to her somehow, it's not like she'll survive here for long if she's unarmed.]

Are you a defending yourself and not getting killed type of person? Because right now, you're gonna need a weapon for that.

[Yeah he's just going to reach over and put the dagger in her hand. He's looking out for her, in his own weird Envy way.]

You can't count on people to show up and kill the monsters for you.

[No. She's the "Stay home and the fucking hell out of the battlefield, or else we'll get worried!" type of lines getting girl, who shouldn't even be here.

Or that's how it is back home. Now her heart is kind of trying to jump into her throat, because wow that's a real dagger and he is just putting it on her hand.

Here? Right now? It's not like there are any options for her. Well, except keep on running and depending on others, who by the way are busy on their own with these monsters here.

That's right. Envy does have an excellent point, she won't deny it when it's clearly a true fact. This place's mostly full of strangers, and if someone happens to save her on a situation, when she's escaping the monsters, then she's just lucky.

There's no Al, who would keep her safe. There's no Ed, who'd protect her like a lion again. Or anyone else from their side, who'd do their best to keep her safe - or, well, they might offer a weapon for her too, just like Hawkeye had offered that gun to Ed earlier back home. No time to be a selfish little girl, who thinks weapons are scary and on the list of things she'll never touch again.

She takes a deep breath.]

I guess I [biting her lip a bit.] Am going to be a girl like that. [She clenches the dagger into her dominant hand.] You're right, I can't just count on people to do that. [pause.] Thanks.

[Thanks for an important lesson that she fully needed to realize here, and for that dagger this time, duh.]

[Envy nods approvingly when she does accept the dagger. With what she'd acted like the first time he offered, he was half expecting her to try and give it back to him. She might not want the approval or respect of someone like him, but she's getting it anyway. He grins.]

I wouldn't thank me until you're out of this fight alive.

[But they couldn't have stayed standing here for long without something showing up. A smaller monster, one of the ones that Envy sees as something out of the Gate, rushes to attack them. Envy manages to kick it with all the force of his superstrength behind the blow, sending it flying off. But that just drains his "batteries" all the more, and he sways noticeably, legs trembling with exhaustion. He waves his knife-arm threateningly in the direction where he kicked the monster, shouting:]

And that's what you get for attacking me, you bastards!

[Well, she almost did force it back to him, but... There's no point in doing that. Don't think she knows that he gets respect from him too, that doesn't even cross his mind even if he nods.

Alive? Not getting out of places alive is not an option for her. She can’t go and break her promise of staying alive and waiting for Ed and Al, not when she has told the brothers to stay alive too. It wouldn’t be fair and sure, she might have made that promise back home only, but she wanted to keep all of her promises here too. …Which is why she never seriously promised to stay here forever, or let them promise the same because anyone could disappear at any time.]
