Summary: It's not exactly a Class Trial (and everyone is probably thankful for that), but Nanami's arrival has prompted a slew of questions and surely there's no better way to resolve them than Dangan-style.

[The Dangans have always had a habit of handling their business internally.

Or rather, Kirigiri has, at least — some might even argue that she's had a habit of handling her business too internally, to the point where she refuses to let anyone else in on it even when it might actually be entirely prudent and relevant to clue them in. And to some extent, that's what's happened here, too, as pertaining to the matter of one Nanami Chiaki, the Super High School Level Gamer. She's a problem no one had anticipated, a complication no one has accounted for — a schoolmate none of them remember, but through no fault of any memory shenanigans this time. And that's something worth talking about, so gathering up the assembled Dangans and orchestrating a round table (that thankfully ends up looking a lot more like their former breakfast meetings and a lot less like a Class Trial) to present their information all at once.

And since it's Kirigiri who prompted the meeting, that means it's her privilege (or burden) to start things off.]

On the eighth of this month, someone posted to the Gear Network claiming to be a student of Hope's Peak with the title "Super High School Level Gamer". How many of us have talked to her by now, and what did she tell you when she did?

OOC Notes: Given the nature of the post, it seemed more sensible to put this up in the logs comm so that everybody could tag their characters into it and threadjack freely and so on — but considering everyone's just kind of sitting around a table talking, please don't feel bogged down by any sense of "necessity" to throw in action brackets into every tag just because this is a "log" post; by all means, sprinkle them in where you see fit, but this is designed to be a discussion-heavy log, not an action-heavy one. o/

This isn't getting us anywhere! Keep those fucking thoughts to yourself - you can fight all you want after we've figured out what the fuck we're gonna do about this girl!

There's something about the way Nanami-san described it that's strange. She told me "that guy took over" — that corresponds with what she told Naegi-kun about things being calm on the island for awhile until Monobear showed up.

Whatever it was that was happening on the island, it sounds as though it was originally intended for a different purpose, and the contingency plan disrupted it.

Is there a way for that to even be possible, though? Unless Enoshima happened to be clairvoyant - by which I mean no offense by association to Hagakure-kun's profession!

Nanami-san said their teacher wanted them to build bonds and gain hope... [ and we all know what Enoshima's thoughts on hope are. ] Maybe the island's original purpose was in the planning stages while Enoshima was still alive, and she heard about it?

If that's the case, then the question we're really trying to answer is, "Where did a teacher and a class of Hope's Peak students come from", isn't it?

Was there ever confirmation of what happened to the headmaster or the rest of the school's faculty?

That was confirmed at the final class trial.

[To his credit, he manages to bite back the urge to ask what happened; he's still not good at these things, but he's suspecting that this is seriously getting into "We can't just ask about that" territory - either because it's not something that should be discussed or it's not something that should be discussed publicly.

He'll likely ask her about it later, Ishimaru being whom he is, but for now...]

R-Right...and I'm assuming there were no signs of other students, either, at least not that we know of?

So do we get any information about the staff, or are you going to drag this out again?

"There are sixteen and only sixteen students high school students participating in this school life of mutual killing. Those sixteen students are also the only people to have set foot in this school since we started this game." That's what Monobear said. As for the headmaster...

[To her credit, she manages to maintain her blank expression.]

He was executed before our game began. Enoshima left his body inside the school — that's why Alter Ego-san thought it was likely he was still inside.

...Why would she bother doing that, though?

I assume it's so that my investigations would eventually lead me to discover the body.

[Now this is interesting, isn't it?]

Aren't we getting off-track again?

...As the Headmaster is deceased, he isn't relevant to this discussion, and his relation to Kirigiri-kun is of no consequence to the investigation.

[Celes-kun, he is talking to you.]

However, we still have no information about this other class of students - from what I've heard about the world outside the school, another class after ours isn't likely, but there were no more classes left inside Hope's Peak, either. So where did they come from?

Under those circumstances, the logical explanation would seem to be, "they were a class who were situated outside of the school before our game occurred".

Nanami-san isn't older than us, but that doesn't tell us anything about the rest of the students in her class.

If that's the case, then they somehow survived the Worst, Most Despair-inducing Incident in the History of Mankind and were outside in a dangerous world...? That could explain why they were encouraged to build hope. A remote, peaceful island seems like a good place for that kind of thing.

That seems likely.

...

But there's something else complicating matters. Something we were told during the final trial.

...How many people here are aware of the reason the school was sealed?
