[ She does regularly get top scores in those, but she is the SHSL Gamer, so.

In any case, you shouldn't worry about a handicap. A game isn't any fun if people aren't trying, don't you think...? Win or lose, I think that's how it is. If Saionji-san went easy on me, I'd have less fun.

Fiiiiine. But handicaps are fun! Almost like a completely different game... they can be turned against the handicapped player if the right pieces are played.

[A sneer.] Everything's fair in a game like this, isn't it? Even if its intention was to help you, things don't go as planned, and it's stupid to assume they'll always do, like how uneducated pigs consider 'help' and 'handicaps' to be.

But okay! Let's play the normal version first! [Saionji would probably lose- Nanami's got experience too, and, as said, she's fucking SHSL Gamer.]

Hm...I guess they can be. It depends on what you want from a game. I guess...I'd like to see Saionji-san's skills? I think that would be nice.

And yes, challenging the SHSL Gamer to a game is welp. Maybe next they should have a dance competition. Three guesses who would win there. ]

Yay! [Saionji promptly begins messing with the board it bit. It does make it look easier for Nanami to capture and turn pieces against her... but Saionji has plans.]

Candy cane? Depends on what kind. [The too-strong peppermint ones that literally set the mouth on fire ew no but she's not gonna dismiss it like most Western sweets, hell it's got its... perks...? Its flavor tends to be too strong for her, though.

[The bell continues to bounce about the ceiling for a few moments before settling right by Ishimaru again. Squinting a bit reveals the bell itself is actually a Pokemon entangled in the leaves.

When spotted, the little bell Pokemon will giggle and wave, not even minding that she's been caught.]

[ She's not going to take it at face value, although Nanami does look interested. ]

Um..."Sweetart" flavored...?

[ They're rainbow-coloured and will make your mouth purple, probably. ]

[...That sounds... almost dangerous.]

...Nah. [Instead, she pops open Nanami's presents and starts eating.] Let's start playing! [And there she is, grabbing the pieces with sticky hands.

Fast forward one game later...]

You guys are fine! For now. If you prove detrimental to me I won't hesitate to treat you all like you deserve.

[Her dangerous tone returns to her normal, there's-no-way-she's-a-high-school-student voice.] There's just not enough in common, when it comes to some people. To others, I guess the time out in the wild has turned them into unrefined pigs no better than the animals they tame.

[Celes is no exception? Goodness, Naegi-kun; hopefully you won't regret that.

As it stands, she watches you with interest as you approach, gently playing with the fur on her Ninetales' head.]

[ Leon happily takes the present from Ishimaru and tucks it under his arm. Garish paper or no, he's glad to get something from his housemate. ]

Thanks Ishimaru! Are we gonna wait till everyone gets together to open our presents? Cause if it is I don't mind waiting, but it'd better be soon cause I'm dyin' to see what I got this year!

2/2 SURPRISE

[ Much later in the day, there's a loud slam of the front door. It's not done in anger and more of sloppiness, so the owner of said slam can only be thw careless redhead of Dangan House.

Normally he avoids Celes like the plague, but not today. Leon stops at the doorway and once he confirms that Celes is in there, he marches right in and holds up something to her. ]

...ya didn't have to get me anythin'. But...thanks anyway. Even if I'd rather swallow a snake than say that.

[ He had already hung a small bag with a lump of coal on the doorknow to her room, accompanied with a rather unflattering doodle of her. But that was before she actually got him a gift, and he felt bad that he hadn't got her a proper one. So here's Leon's second gift for Celes, actually wrapped nicely because he feels like a bit of an ass for being mean to her over Christmas. If she opens it, she'll find a book detailing all the nice teas one can find in Johto. ]

[Celes has been quite content to spend her day sitting in the living room reading, so the loud bang of the front door makes her grit her teeth in annoyance. Which idiot thought it was at all appropriate to slam the fucking door like that? She'll give them a piece of her mi-

...before she has the chance to break into a tirade, however, Leon is suddenly standing in front of her holding a present and looking very sheepish.]

[Pausing for a moment, Celes (finally) reaches out and gingerly takes the present, placing it in her lap and fiddling with the ribbon for a moment. But she does, eventually, open the present, detaching the tape from the corners and peeling the paper away rather than ripping at it.
