But don't you think that some people don't deserve to get away with it? Freeloaders, idiots, people who tax the talented with their own inability? [Which- is kinda the reason she's so confused they're so nice to her-] I mean, don't lie that you haven't felt some contempt for those kind of worthless people! Those who are nothing more than slaves, disgracefully treated with respect when they don't deserve it.

Um, that depends on the person... I mean, there's a difference between someone who needs help and a freeloader who keeps taking advantage of the generosity of other people. [ As he talks, he resumes his task of removing Eevees and setting them down on the floor. One of them walks over to Saionji and gives her a curious whiff. ]

I think everyone should be treated with at least some respect and I don't think anyone's worthless, though. Why are you asking me this, Saionji-san?

Normally, she'd be incredibly amused and start rattling about slaves and the like- but right now...] But people are just animals, in the end! Give them an inch and they'll want a meter. [And that's why she couldn't give anyone even an inch before.] Thooough, I guess you're too much of a nice person, like Big Bro Hinata. Trusting people so easily, making 'friendships', even allowing me to stay here...

Is that what you think people are like, Saionji-san? That's a pessimistic outlook to have. [ Good job on not kicking the Eevee, Saionji. The furry little critter jumps at her leg, wagging its tail and looking like it wants attention. ]

It's how people just are. No one is completely selfless, much less a saint. To think so is stupid, and to assume their selfishness will never be directed towards you is also hopelessly naive. [She squats to look at it, trying to figure out what it wants. Just... pet the thing? Does not compute...] But while it's hard to live without being selfish, those of lesser talent and strengths in any field should just know their place when there's no chance they'll ever climb to the top!

The world is split between those of noble origin, and those destined to only serve the other class as slaves. And since you're like Big Bro Hinata, you'll be my slave now. [She ends up petting the Eevee, evil grin on her face and all.]

I get that people can be selfish, and use others to their own advantage... [ Maizono's betrayal and attempt to frame him for murder comes to mind, so he knows what it feels like. ]

There's bad people out there. I get that. But I believe the best in others. Stupidly so at times, but that's the kind of person I am. I'd rather risk getting used than think everyone's selfish and self-serving.

[ That last part makes his eyebrows scrunch up in a slight frown. Meanwhile, the Eevee seems to enjoy getting petted and urges Saionji to keep doing that. ]

I'm not your slave, Saionji-san.

...You really think so, huh...?

[There's a bit of a pause, like she wants to say something, but chooses to just shrug instead.] Well, that did help me, so I'm gonna let it slide!

And no objections! Slaves don't talk back, you know! [A chuckle, and she sits on the floor and rubs the Eevee all over, fascinated by how hey they can squirm even if they're not dying!!! wow. But she supposes no one is her slave here, because now she's at the bottom of the food chain, only Pokémon beneath her.] Buuut I'll be a kind master, then! And accept your differing view, for now... teehee...

Welll, it actually seems a lot like Japan, in a strange way. The place is weird, but when I get used to it I think I'll like it a lot!

[Her dangerous tone returns to her normal, there's-no-way-she's-a-high-school-student voice.] There's just not enough in common, when it comes to some people. To others, I guess the time out in the wild has turned them into unrefined pigs no better than the animals they tame.
