I think whoever put up all the mistletoe probably wanted to kiss people a lot, too.

I don't know. Kissing's important to some people. I mean, it doesn't have to be a big deal but some people think it does.

...It is to me, I guess. I want the first time to mean something, anyway.

Is that why you were taking down all the mistletoe?

...Well, no, that was because I don't want to encourage that sort of thing in the middle of the hallways! I've already ended up under some of it with my brother earlier, and nothing came of it.

That's good. I'm pretty sure he wants his first time to mean something, too.

But no, I haven't found anyone I like in that sort of way or anything! The...sort of way that leads to kissing, I mean.

It kind of sneaks up on you. Like sometimes you don't even really notice it's a thing until it's already a thing, and then it just kind of hits you with its...thing-ness.

A couple years back, after a job we did — we stole a pair of little naked men — we all had to split up and go our separate ways? So we all disappeared for...like six months, and then we all got back together for a thing, but when we got together for the thing — I mean, actually we got back together to go see one of Sophie's shows, and she was in The Sound of Music, and it was so bad it made one of the critics say he was cheering for the Nazis — but then Nate had a job and we were doing it, and while we were doing it Hardison said he looked for me. For the whole six months. ...While I was gone. Hiding, you know.

I think Hardison always kind of...you know, the thing, and he was always just waiting around on me. But he waited. The whole time, he's...he's waited.

[...you know, he's not even going to touch most of that.]

...Well, if you ever decide that you also...the thing, then you should definitely both do the thing together - I liked Hardison, when I talked to him, and I think he's a good person!

[WAIT WAIT HOLD UP]

You met Hardison? How? When? Is he here? Are you hiding him?

It was during that weird...group of days, when a lot of people from different places showed up! We met on top of the tower in Ecruteak and he talked to me for a while!

Well, he was very nice, and we talked about Pokémon and Gurren Lagann, and getting dropped off of rooftops, and how he's like Fujisaki-kun and he made the Parker 2000. It's green.

Oh. Yeah, he falls off rooftops a lot. About every time we get him into a harness or anything, he tangles the wires and about falls on his head. I think he's afraid of heights. Or of falling off buildings.

[Pause.]

What's the Parker 2000? I don't remember him making anything called that.

It's a first-edition...safe...thing.

It opens safes. Really hard ones. I think.

Maybe I've been gone for so long that they replaced me.

No, he said that too! That you don't need help with the safes, I mean. But he made it for you anyway.

Maybe so you can do other things and don't have to worry about the safes at the same time.

...Did he say why he made it green?

Well, he said he built it for you.
