[She's just gonna... leave it at that. DARE YOU PURSUE FURTHER, ISHIMARU KIYOTAKA? Her view on the murderers are much less forgiving than the DR cast, unfortunately.]

...Did one of them kill you, Saionji-kun?
[The question is quieter, some of the force behind it gone; it's still pressured, but nowhere near as loud.]
no subject
Then...]
Wouldn't you like to know?
[Her Saionji smirk is back, but there's a very visible pause beforehand that probably gives it away, and she's kicking herself for that. Dammit, she's gone soft.]
no subject
Actually, I would - if you wanted to avoid speaking to someone who killed you, that would be understandable.
chap 2 sdr2 spoiilers
And anyway, if someone killed me I'd want to talk to them. [And by talk she means FUCKING SMASH THEIR FACE IN] They could've done it for a reason. [A reason... like Koizumi's murder. She- she guess she can forgive Kuzuryuu.
His punishment was losing Pekoyama. That was punishment more than enough.]
DR1/SDR2 spoilers all over tbh
I understand, then. I wanted to talk to the person who killed me, too.

...If you want to answer. [Good Saionji, just... try to model after Koizumi's sensitivity. Attempt to. Okay, she added it in a bit late but SHE TRIED]

...
...What if the reason isn't one you want to hear? [Her face scrunches up a bit in distaste.]
no subject
Well, I guess my case was a little weird because I wasn't going to like the answer no matter what it was - there wasn't any way it was going to be okay. There was just one answer that would have been...well, less okay.
[He huffs a bit; this isn't coming out right, hold on.]
Basically, there were two reasons this person would have wanted to kill me - one would have been entirely selfish, because that'd mean they did it for personal gain. The second would have been because I'd...hurt them. In some way that was completely unforgivable. While the second would have been more justified, I don't think I would have been able to live with myself, knowing I'd done that to someone.
So both options were really bad; it was just a matter of working out what I'd be able to live with and what I wouldn't, and I was actually really relieved to hear that it'd happened for the selfish, less justified reason.
[...]
I'm sorry if I'm letting you down by not being able to answer; like I said, though, my circumstances are...kind of weird.

...Murderschool and murderisland scenarios take a toll, huh. In any case, she just lefts her face fall flat, but not completely so that it showed disappointment or shock or anything. Just more of an- energetic still, resting face, trying to hold back a tidal wave.]
...It's fine. The whole 'despair' circumstance is weird to begin with, anyway. [Just- just gonna... let it slide.
She just doesn't find anything to say after that.]

[Awk...ward...this is awkward come on Ishimaru say something - ]
...Do you play?
[Just. Tipping his head toward the pool table.
...never mind that she's like four-foot-three and her head is likely not that much higher than the damn table, it's a valid question.]
no subject
I don't play, but I've watched people play yotsudama sometimes. [Is her aim good? Man who knows but she does need a stool to stand on.] I need a stool, though, or else I'll end up with a cue ball in my face if you're not good at aiming! And while I might not know much about playing this game, I do know the game of 'biting back'!
no subject
I'm better at aiming than I seem, but I'll get you something to stand on regardless, just because it's only fair!
[I mean arguably it's still not fair because your reach is gonna suck, but that is neither here nor there; we may not have too many proper stools around, but you can have an ottoman for now. Welcome to the study.]
I only know pool for now, though, and I don't even remember who taught me that; I'm working on learning a few others, though, so maybe we can play yostudama as well, once I've picked it up.
no subject
Yotsudama is easy! Each players gets a cue ball and two red balls. Every time you hit the cue ball and manage to hit both red balls, you get a point!
You lose a point if you miss both red balls or hit the opponent's. No penalty or gain or only hitting one of yours. Let's cap the winner at the one who hits 10 points or the loser who hits -5 first!
[Yeeeeeah, this might not end well.] I don't know how to play normal pool. If people are playing normal pool, it gets too long and I need to sit on the floor, so I can't see the top of the pool table. [So apparently people play pool in front of her.]
