Summary: RESCUE TEAM GO!
Rating: PG-13! There will be violence (albeit of the wild Pokemon variety, at least we hope that's all there will be) and Kay will be fresh from being tortured once our heroes meet up with her - needless to say just mentioning what went down deserves the raiting.
Log: Johan couldn't believe it-- What were the chances that she would have been right under their noses the entire time? That the kidnapper hadn't taken her away after the crystals had all vanished, along with the Unown? ... He supposed the chances were a lot higher than he was giving them credit for, but right then, he didn't want to think about them. He had more imporant things to think about.

He wanted to rush in there and get her right now. If Asuka hadn't warned him, hadn't told him he was acting dangerously similar to how Juudai had been acting when he himself had vanished-- And if he didn't have just a bit more common sense than his friend had had at that point, then he probably would have gone in there. But he hadn't. Instead, he'd had Jet, his Drifloon, and Misola, his Noctowl, scout out the surrounding area, along with Jam, who had found the place to begin with. He'd gone in with Garnet, his Ampharos, just a few steps in, and he'd gotten jumped by a good five angry and confused Pokemon-- Pokemon from the nearby route, outside of the Ruins of Alph.

And it looked like there were a lot more in there past them.

Johan glanced at his PokeGear, checking the time. It didn't matter whether or not if everyone, or ANYONE, was here - he wouldn't be able to keep still for much longer. Kay was in there, he knew that, and here he was, standing here waiting for reinforcements. He could only wait so long. Oh, he'd get her back, of that, he had no doubts. Even if it killed him, before the night ended, she would be in her bed again.

((OOC: Here's how this is going to work! We'll have the main thread going down in an action log, which I'll start in a new comment, and then we'll have a secondary thread, one I'll also start, which will take place before that one, during the time period before they enter but after Johan sent out the "distress call" over the network, which I'll be posting in just a few moments. THAT thread will be done like a regular network post, and everyone can tag each other and tag however they want - they can get to know each other, talk about Kay, the "mission", all of that stuff. If anyone has any questions, just drop 'em over on the OOC post and hopefully I'll be able to answer them. Now let's go rescue Kay! ... Oh and, not sure if it was clear, but to make it so, tagging order for the rescue thread will be: Johan, Kaito, Konata, Heather, Rika, Beat, Johan, Kaito, etc. We'll put Kay in where appropriate when the time comes.))

[Needless to say, as soon as Kaito gets the message, he practically flies to Johan's location. The fact that they finally had some news as to wear Kay was being kept was the first good news he had heard all week, and a good part of him was relieved she was still in the area. He had entertained thoughts that her captor might have carted her off somewhere else, after all.

When he arrives, he's grinning from ear to ear confidently, Biz once again perched happily on top of his head]

Ooooooi! [he lifts a hand to wave at the group that had already gathered before him]

_{[If the tension of waiting for the battle against the Unown was heavy, this, Heather's sure, is pretty much even worse. She's been picking through her pack, trying to decide if there's anything worth bringing in. ... Not much. Trail Mix may be delicious but it wouldn't serve much purpose in a fight...]

[At the sound of Kaito's voice, she looks up, offers a smile, and waves back-- but it's not quite the same goofy one she usually wears.]}

[His isn't goofy either-- it's confident and relieved. He's a bit brighter than he's been the past few days because she's finally been found, and that's much better than no news whatsoever]

Her pessimism's been kept at bay for awhile, but there's no shaking that niggling fear now that they're in front of the abyss, so to speak, that they might encounter the worst. But damned if she'll say anything about that. Nobody needed that right now.]}

... Unless it's Kay.

Then it's the opposite.

Who knows? Maybe by the time we get in there, Kay will have done the beating for us.

Kaitoooo--!! [At the sight of his second-in-command/partner/brothing/whatever Kaito has been during all this, Johan grins back, though not as widely as Kaito, and returns his wave.]

I'm glad you could make it!

Johaaaaaan! [it was probably some combination of what was listed above, since he puts his entire heart into finding Kay just as much as anyone else did. And probably gave Johan pep talks when he needed them]

You think I'd miss this? [he skids to a stop and leans his hands against his knees to catch his breath. He doesn't get winded often, but he's just been so tired lately that he doesn't have nearly as much energy as usual]

I was hoping you wouldn't. [He'll pat Kaito on the back as he catch his breath-- Shaking his head.] When this is over, I'm making you go to sleep for a while.

[giving him a look] I'll be fine. 'M used to pulling all-nighters.

[Kaitou Kid was a nighttime job, after all]

You are, huh? [gives him a weary look, but shakes his head.] Whatever you say.

You look like you need more sleep than I do, anyway.

-- Eh? I've... gotten some here and there. You know I've had more important things to do.

[Kona waves calmly, already briefed on the situation from Johan.]

[His grin fades into pleasant surprise when he sees Konata, and his smile softens a bit as he approaches her]

It's been a while, hasn't it? [a nod] I'm more than ready to go in right away.

Well, lots has happened.

I'm a little worried this is some kind of trap. I don't get how Kay gets down in a monster pit and doesn't get back out again.

Yeah, no kidding. [his smile fades]

It could be a trap, but we won't know unless we go in. We'll just have to compensate for it somehow. Leave someone out here to guard the entrance.

Mmmm, good idea. I'll leave Kamikaze, then. [Konata points straight up at an arrow-shaped figure cruising about at high altitude.]

He's settled down a bit now that he's evolved. He'll be a good scout.

[Kaito shields his eyes and glances up to watch the Pidgeot circle above them]

A Pidgeot? Impressive.

He's big enough to ride, although I think you need an HM for that... I'm not going to try and ride him unless I'm sure it's safe. In the meantime, he's pretty smart and really fast.

How's Biz?

[points up to the Aipom on his head, who looks rested and ready to go]

He's as willing to do this as I am!
