it all comes down to this
Who: Johan, Kaito, Konata, Heather, Rika, Beat; eventually Kay
Where: Tarantulas' Former Lair/Cave ofWonder Torture Kay Keeping
When: Wednesday, August 25th; Evening
Summary: RESCUE TEAM GO!
Rating: PG-13! There will be violence (albeit of the wild Pokemon variety, at least we hope that's all there will be) and Kay will be fresh from being tortured once our heroes meet up with her - needless to say just mentioning what went down deserves the raiting.
Log: Johan couldn't believe it-- What were the chances that she would have been right under their noses the entire time? That the kidnapper hadn't taken her away after the crystals had all vanished, along with the Unown? ... He supposed the chances were a lot higher than he was giving them credit for, but right then, he didn't want to think about them. He had more imporant things to think about.
He wanted to rush in there and get her right now. If Asuka hadn't warned him, hadn't told him he was acting dangerously similar to how Juudai had been acting when he himself had vanished-- And if he didn't have just a bit more common sense than his friend had had at that point, then he probably would have gone in there. But he hadn't. Instead, he'd had Jet, his Drifloon, and Misola, his Noctowl, scout out the surrounding area, along with Jam, who had found the place to begin with. He'd gone in with Garnet, his Ampharos, just a few steps in, and he'd gotten jumped by a good five angry and confused Pokemon-- Pokemon from the nearby route, outside of the Ruins of Alph.
And it looked like there were a lot more in there past them.
Johan glanced at his PokeGear, checking the time. It didn't matter whether or not if everyone, or ANYONE, was here - he wouldn't be able to keep still for much longer. Kay was in there, he knew that, and here he was, standing here waiting for reinforcements. He could only wait so long. Oh, he'd get her back, of that, he had no doubts. Even if it killed him, before the night ended, she would be in her bed again.
((OOC: Here's how this is going to work! We'll have the main thread going down in an action log, which I'll start in a new comment, and then we'll have a secondary thread, one I'll also start, which will take place before that one, during the time period before they enter but after Johan sent out the "distress call" over the network, which I'll be posting in just a few moments. THAT thread will be done like a regular network post, and everyone can tag each other and tag however they want - they can get to know each other, talk about Kay, the "mission", all of that stuff. If anyone has any questions, just drop 'em over on the OOC post and hopefully I'll be able to answer them. Now let's go rescue Kay! ... Oh and, not sure if it was clear, but to make it so, tagging order for the rescue thread will be: Johan, Kaito, Konata, Heather, Rika, Beat, Johan, Kaito, etc. We'll put Kay in where appropriate when the time comes.))

RESCUE THREAD

Okay everyone! I'm glad all of you could make it, and I know Kay's really happy in there too-- Or she will be. I've got Garnet here in the front to light the way with his electricity, and I'll have other Pokemon out to battle, and I hope the rest of you'll be able to do the same. If you don't think you'll be able to keep up, I won't blame you for turning around.
If not... Well, I guess there's nothing else to say. I don't know about any of you, but I'm not leaving without Kay. [Johan gives everyone a smile, then turns back to the front, his expression serious, and starts walking on in-- Already, there's a lot of Ekans, Zubat, Bellsprout, and more leering at them angrily for intruding. He calls out his Misola and--]
Let's go everyone!!

He wasn't afraid of a few wild Pokemon, and if the fighting was for Kay, we was more than willing to leap headfirst into the fray.]

It might be a trap, though. [She pats her Pidgeot, on the head -- in spite of him being a few inches taller than her.] Kamikaze will keep watch out here and let us know if someone suspicious comes by.

[and... he's only communicated with Johan via audio and text, but he doesn't see anyone else, so he approaches the silent fellow]
Yo! This the rescue party?
no subject
That's right. You're Beat, right?

[he pauses, looking around again as if he'd find people hiding. But really, he's just an impatient kind of guy.]

[Needless to say, Johan's sudden message startled the heck out of her, but HERE SHE COMES.]
Hey!
[A few assorted pebbles and bits of dislodged loam patter to the ground as Heather comes skidding down the hill towards the cave, a little out of breath. She looks tired and dirty-- though that's no surprise. NONE of them would be winning any neatness contests today, after all. Behind her, Arty the Furret slides down as well.]
You found her? Where is she?
S'she in the cave?
no subject
Yeah, she's in there. [He looks up at a Golbat that's lurking around somewhere-- Kay's Golbat, to be exact.] Jam's positive of it.
no subject
Thanks... nice place to take kidnapped kids. Quaint. [It probably doesn't even need to be stated that she said this with a wry, not-terribly-mirthful tone.]
[Taking a swig of the water and then pouring a little into her cupped hand to splash over the back of her neck, she looked into the cave dubiously. It was easy to stay hopeful while searching, but now that they were confronted with this... it was easy to tell by Heather's expression that she was worried they might find the worst.]
D'you know how many others are coming?

I just noticed Johan called you "Heater" in his journal post. XD
oh god I've made that typo on occasion. The mental images are usually fairly hilarious.

I probably could do it alone, but I don't know how much of that my Pokemon could take. She's pretty guarded, but Jam's positive she's in there.
