When: Forward-dated to the evening of March 14th. Because Lucy's going to be busy this weekend.
Summary: Nanami uses her birthday to take a bunch of people who wouldn't normally go to a kid's place to a kid's place (though she also invites some people who would be totally chill with it). There is an actual ball pit, what the hell Nanami.
Rating: PG13 at most for some people's language probably KUZURYUU.

It's pretty obvious by the time the actual location other than "in Goldenrod" is disclosed (though Nanami hands out the address and location so it's possible you could get there without realizing where you're going) that Nanami was completely the one who picked out where they're going. If Kuzuryuu or anyone else she brought up "eating dinner" with thought she would choose a nice sit-down restaurant or at least a legitimate restaurant, they were sorely mistaken. She has, of course, chosen the Johto equivalent of Chuck E. Cheese. Which is, of course, over-the-top with the Pokémon theme. Hands are stamped at the door to show that you've paid to be there.

There are arcade games, playable with tokens purchased and handed out at the door. Tickets are given over from the games based on winning or how well one won, and can turned in at the main counter for ridiculously cheesy prizes that mostly only children would be interested in. There are games other than arcades, such as skee ball and air hockey. There are claw machines with prizes within.

There's also a full-on child's playplace with climbing things, tubes to crawl through, slides, nets, etc. This includes a full-on ball pit.

The food is mostly pizza, although the menu also offers cold-cut sandwiches, buffalo wings, salad bars, and desserts. There's also cake, obviously, which was brought in with the party, as well as a pie. ...There is probably an animatronic show as they eat dinner because this is what Nanami picked and she's totally turning seventeen, the cake says so. There's a table decked out and reserved for the party, so claim a seat for your breaks and eating times and go have a blast! Clearly this night can only end gloriously.

Everyone not in the know of trigger lists would have been warned at some point prior to the party by Nanami not to bring gift-wrapped boxes (bags are apparently acceptable if they are plainish and not involving a lot of giftwrap, as are unwrapped things) with zero explanation of as to why this was.

[So Nanami may as well have given Jimmy an invitation straight to heaven, because that sure feels like where he is in this very moment. This place is probably the greatest thing he's ever seen in his entire life, and really he's been so preoccupied by the excitement of it all that it's actually a bit before he can make his way over to where Nanami is to wish her a happy birthday. Of course by the time he gets there he's procured quite a large amount of tickets, some held in his arms, and the rest coiled around Cherry's long Furret body.

Unfortunately, what with being on the road near constantly until just recently after being picked up by Joker and and the rest of the circus group, Jimmy hadn't had time to try to find her a present.

[Cherry hops up and puts her front paws on the counter with the tickets still wrapped around her neck, her ears twitching as she looks up curiously at Nanami. It must be...quite a sight to see, since Nanami is 17 and Jimmy is 15...yet he's a good few feet taller than she is, somehow.]

[ Hey, as long as you're enjoying yourself, Jimmy. It's good that some people are giving themselves over to it entirely! Since...probably not everyone will be doing that but details. Nanami herself has a pretty decent stash of tickets as well, which might attribute to her lack of knowing what to get.

Well, that and she's just not sure...

Though really, even if Jimmy hadn't offered this or gotten her anything, it wasn't likely she would have noticed or minded. Like she'd told him, having the party itself was a pretty great gift. ]

Oh...? We could do that. Things that are really cool, huh...

[ Let's be real, the coolest things are the ginormous nearly child-sized stuffed Pokemon. Who wouldn't want a Lapras the size of a small child made of plush...?

Nanami herself doesn't seem to even notice the height different. At 5'3" you learn to deal with tall foreigners. ]

[He nods before turning back to the array of different toys available. This place seems to run just like any other like it, in the fact that you have to have nearly your weight in tickets to get something remotely worth coming for.

Jimmy takes a minute to uncoil the tickets from Cherry, piling them with the rest he'd been carrying onto the counter. The Furret shakes herself vigorously after, still peeking over the edge of the counter at the toys on the shelves behind it. Looks like Jimmy's been playing a lot of skee ball, because everybody knows skee ball gets you the most tickets.]

Well, lesse...how 'bout one of those?

[He says with a gesture to the aforemention child-sized stuffed Pokemon. Of course any self respecting person wouldn't dare to leave without an oversized plushie! In a way, this place reminds Jimmy a lot of a carnival with the prizes and things...except it's inside and there are zero roller coasters.]

[ Nanami, too, will pile her tickets on the counter. Her only out-of-the-ball companion right now is her Musharna, Kirby, who floats sleepily in the air nearby but otherwise makes no moves to do much of anything. Except maybe take a nap.

It's not clear what Nanami's been playing, but whatever she played, she played well.

She looks where Jimmy points without hesitation. ][ There are so many types of Pokemon... ]

...The Slowpoke is kind of cute...

Eheh, it is, isn't it? Kinda looks like Asahina's Slowpoke...

[The similarities are rather striking, considering it unlikely for the plushie to get up and start walking any time soon.]

I used to have a Slowpoke, but he's now a Slowking...this reminds me of how Tomba used to look.

I think if we got this...there would still be enough left over for a prize for you, too, Jimmy.

[Jimmy tilts his head, trying to get a better look at the rest of the plushies on display. He's not all that familiar with the many different Pokemon there are, yet, but...well he knows what he likes, anyway.]

What kind of Pokemon is that, Nanami?

[He asks, pointing at a plush that's sitting on the shelf below the Slowpoke, which happens to be a Wigglytuff.]

[ LUCKILY FOR JIMMY Nanami is basically a Pokedex when it comes to the first 150 Pokemon. And, well, she's memorizing the rest pretty quickly. So the answer is instantaneous. ]

Mm, that's a Wigglytuff. The balloon Pokemon...The body is soft and rubbery. When angered, it will suck in air and inflate itself to an enormous size. It evolves from Jigglypuff when you use a moon stone...

Ah, it's a normal type. And...it's pretty cute, right?

[ It reminds her of someone. ]

We should give them matching names, right?
