When: Forward-dated to the evening of March 14th. Because Lucy's going to be busy this weekend.
Summary: Nanami uses her birthday to take a bunch of people who wouldn't normally go to a kid's place to a kid's place (though she also invites some people who would be totally chill with it). There is an actual ball pit, what the hell Nanami.
Rating: PG13 at most for some people's language probably KUZURYUU.

It's pretty obvious by the time the actual location other than "in Goldenrod" is disclosed (though Nanami hands out the address and location so it's possible you could get there without realizing where you're going) that Nanami was completely the one who picked out where they're going. If Kuzuryuu or anyone else she brought up "eating dinner" with thought she would choose a nice sit-down restaurant or at least a legitimate restaurant, they were sorely mistaken. She has, of course, chosen the Johto equivalent of Chuck E. Cheese. Which is, of course, over-the-top with the Pokémon theme. Hands are stamped at the door to show that you've paid to be there.

There are arcade games, playable with tokens purchased and handed out at the door. Tickets are given over from the games based on winning or how well one won, and can turned in at the main counter for ridiculously cheesy prizes that mostly only children would be interested in. There are games other than arcades, such as skee ball and air hockey. There are claw machines with prizes within.

There's also a full-on child's playplace with climbing things, tubes to crawl through, slides, nets, etc. This includes a full-on ball pit.

The food is mostly pizza, although the menu also offers cold-cut sandwiches, buffalo wings, salad bars, and desserts. There's also cake, obviously, which was brought in with the party, as well as a pie. ...There is probably an animatronic show as they eat dinner because this is what Nanami picked and she's totally turning seventeen, the cake says so. There's a table decked out and reserved for the party, so claim a seat for your breaks and eating times and go have a blast! Clearly this night can only end gloriously.

Everyone not in the know of trigger lists would have been warned at some point prior to the party by Nanami not to bring gift-wrapped boxes (bags are apparently acceptable if they are plainish and not involving a lot of giftwrap, as are unwrapped things) with zero explanation of as to why this was.

[It's ok, he's been getting that a lot lately. It wasn't quite as much of a thing back home because demons apparently don't follow the rules of normal human heights. Plus, the fact that Cherry is nearly as long as Jimmy is tall is saying something.

He doesn't seem perturbed by Ishimaru's stern expression, either- yet another thing he's well used to seeing, as far as Lucius was concerned. Though Ishimaru is probably a lot more content to see Jimmy than he would have been.]

Oh totally! This place is awesome!

[Who knew a place like this even existed? He wasn't expecting the party to be this much fun, but boy was he pleasantly surprised.]

It's good to finally be here after traveling for a week.

[Well, SHSL Wallflowers aside, Nanami is pretty good at actually getting people to do things, also being adorable. So yes, this is...surprisingly pleasant, really.]

I can imagine, yes! A [acquaintance classmate no come on you can do this] friend of mine and I went travelling ourselves recently - it was nice, but it's good to be back in one of the cities.

Goldenrod is a good place, though, for the most part - we live here, actually! Well, my classmates do, anyway; I'm not sure what the others are doing...

[Out of all the Dangans Jimmy has met so far, Nanami is definitely the most adorable, yes.]

I like it so far! It's so big...I don't think I'd mind living here someday, if I had a place to stay.

[He plans on checking out the department store at some point, not that he has an overwhelming amount of money to spend or anything. Just the sheer size of it all is enough to get him curious.]

I think I'm gonna be traveling with Joker's group for a while, though...but I don't mind it! It sounds like a ton of fun. Have you heard about it? He's gonna have a circus!

I've heard about that, I think - I've also spoken to him a time or two, he seems to be a good person!

[It's probably for the best that Jimmy's with people who can keep an eye on him. It's a wonder he made it as far as he did without getting into trouble, to be honest.]

Yeah, he is! He showed me how to battle when I got here, and he showed me how to build a fire while I was by myself, before he picked me up.

[Jimmy's just going to pull out a chair and have a seat at the table while he talks, considering he's been standing ever since he got here. Cherry walks around his chair a few times before lying down with her head next to his feet, the rest of her long body coiled around the legs of the chair.]

[He doesn't point, but instead gestures with his head to the little Meowth curled up in Ishimaru's hoodie.]

[Not like he really would have minded the pointing, even if Jimmy had; Ishimaru looks like he's attempting to Ace Attorney it up half the time himself.]

Ah...she belonged to someone I knew a while ago. He went back to his own world about six months ago, I think.

[...Huh. It really has been that long, hasn't it?]

At the beginning of September, actually, so six months ago is about right - he left her to me to take care of, though. That happens sometimes, where you get people's Pokémon if they leave this place - I was taking care of one of my brother's when he left, and I just got two more recently from people I knew.

S'a good thing you're taking care of her now, though! You...don't have trouble looking after all those Pokemon, though?

[As of yet Jimmy's still a bit confused over PCs and how they can actually store Pokemon and things, though he did manage to recover the Larvesta that Walter left him.]

We don't seem to, no! As I've said, I don't live alone, so I have help with them - and we seem to be able to keep more than six out with us as long as they stay near the house, without them getting transferred back to the PC!

It's hard work at times, but that's never been anything I'm opposed to!

Oh, gotcha! I guess it would be hard to do that if you were on the road a lot, but it makes sense since you guys have a house and all.

Cherry lifts her head a little at the mention of the circus, tilting her head curiously. There are definitely plans to have Pokemon performers, so that'll be a thing.]

[Cherry's ears flick back at the mention of her name before she just all but stands, watches him for a moment, and then drops her head on Ishimaru's knee, trying to push her head into his hand. Because personal space just doesn't matter with these Furrets.]

...One day you'll surely meet Naegi's Zorua and Ishimaru will spend the next week apologizing profusely on Kagura-chan's behalf, but for now let's just accept that this is far preferable and he is more than willing to administer pettings to the Furret here.]

She has! She used to like to ride on my shoulders but she can't really...do that anymore.

But she evolved before I got Inferno, so she slept with me on the Routes to keep warm at night.

[Give him a moment as he rummages through his pocket until he finds a Pokeball, carefully releasing the Pokemon inside.

A very small, very fluffy moth is suddenly sitting on Jimmy's knees in a burst of white light, and almost as soon as she's released she rolls over onto her side with several happy chirps, her feet wiggling as Jimmy runs his fingers through her white fluff.

Suffice it to say that a LOT of Jimmy's Pokemon seem to take after their trainer.]

[Honestly he'd come over any time if he knew exactly how long Joker and the others planned on staying in Goldenrod... The last thing he needs is to get stranded in this huge city and have to backtrack.]

[What Jimmy really needs to do is work on getting these badges so he can eventually just fly from town to town. Then he'd just come over whenever he wanted. (And Volcarona can learn Fly, apparently, so that should be a thing at some point.)

All the while they're talking, Cherry has practically dozed off in Ishimaru's lap there. It's a combination of the petting and the hour or so she spent romping in the ballpit with her Furret friends.]
