there are two rules no murder and no giftboxes
Who: Dangans of all kinds, other non-Dangan invited guests. Anyone who would be at the designated location who wants to party-crash. Although the designated location is, uh...
Where: Goldenrod City, in the Johto equivalent of Chuck E. Cheese
When: Forward-dated to the evening of March 14th.Because Lucy's going to be busy this weekend.
Summary: Nanami uses her birthday to take a bunch of people who wouldn't normally go to a kid's place to a kid's place (though she also invites some people who would be totally chill with it). There is an actual ball pit, what the hell Nanami.
Rating: PG13 at most for some people's language probably KUZURYUU.
Log:
It's pretty obvious by the time the actual location other than "in Goldenrod" is disclosed (though Nanami hands out the address and location so it's possible you could get there without realizing where you're going) that Nanami was completely the one who picked out where they're going. If Kuzuryuu or anyone else she brought up "eating dinner" with thought she would choose a nice sit-down restaurant or at least a legitimate restaurant, they were sorely mistaken. She has, of course, chosen the Johto equivalent of Chuck E. Cheese. Which is, of course, over-the-top with the Pokémon theme. Hands are stamped at the door to show that you've paid to be there.
There are arcade games, playable with tokens purchased and handed out at the door. Tickets are given over from the games based on winning or how well one won, and can turned in at the main counter for ridiculously cheesy prizes that mostly only children would be interested in. There are games other than arcades, such as skee ball and air hockey. There are claw machines with prizes within.
There's also a full-on child's playplace with climbing things, tubes to crawl through, slides, nets, etc. This includes a full-on ball pit.
The food is mostly pizza, although the menu also offers cold-cut sandwiches, buffalo wings, salad bars, and desserts. There's also cake, obviously, which was brought in with the party, as well as a pie. ...There is probably an animatronic show as they eat dinner because this is what Nanami picked and she's totally turning seventeen, the cake says so. There's a table decked out and reserved for the party, so claim a seat for your breaks and eating times and go have a blast! Clearly this night can only end gloriously.
Everyone not in the know of trigger lists would have been warned at some point prior to the party by Nanami not to bring gift-wrapped boxes (bags are apparently acceptable if they are plainish and not involving a lot of giftwrap, as are unwrapped things) with zero explanation of as to why this was.

[Joker gives an impressed whistle.]
Now doesn't this look fun! Ya ain't too bad.

...
That sure is a brightly-colored man scoping out her moves, hello.]
...
[Thanks for that thorough elaboration of your feelings there, Kirigiri.]
...If you want a turn, you're welcome to it.
no subject
[Besides, the more the merrier, right? That is Joker's thought process until the end times.]
no subject
[She's been occupying the right pad for the duration, so she motions to the vacant left one without much ado.]
It's only one token to play, but it's one per person.
no subject
[He hops up onto the left pad, cheerful as ever as he gets out a token from his pocket. Letting his two cat 'mon watch from the edges, he slips the token in and then backs up a little to look at the screen.]
Got any favorite songs? Looks like there's quite a few.
no subject
[She doesn't actually know if it is or not, but that seems polite nevertheless. Or at least a seemingly reasonable thing to do.]
The machine will play a few measures of every song if you hover over the choice on the wheel without selecting it. If you want to hear what they sound like before you pick one.

[Joker seems to be considering her advice when his two Pokemon suddenly hop onto the stage as well, playing about the arrows until they finally stop and- welp, looks like they've spun onto a random one. Joker just laughs.]
Well, a lil' bit a surprise can make the game more fun. [So, yep, he chooses that. What do you mean he should go with something easy first?] 'Fore I forget, the name's Joker. Pleased ta meet ya.
no subject
Like the playing card?
[Or the, y'know, Batman villain. But she's not going to point that out.]
You're a friend of Nanami-san's, then?
no subject
Just like that!
[Yes, he's sort of gotten the Batman thing a lot so it's pretty nice to hear the actual reason.]
Nah, but I know Jimmy and I figured I'd tag along too. Nanami doesn't mind much, so it looks like I get ta stay! [Another cheery laugh before the music starts up.]
no subject
[SUSPICIOUS...
...but it's not like she's got much time to inquire further, what with the song taking off and herself bound to follow along for the duration.]

[Completely unaware or maybe just uncaring about being suspicious, Joker just hops into the game as well. He's only seen other people play and that's with today alone. Still, he has pretty quick reflexes so he doesn't do too bad. In fact, it's likely he could do better except he seems to be too busy doing flashy moves for no real reason, and occasionally tripping over his Pokemon as they 'chase' the arrows. This means unless Kirigi somehow messes up bad, he's likely to lose.]
[Joker doesn't seem to mind too much. He's just laughing in-between breaths, and some more when the song eventually comes to a finish.]
no subject
It's easier when you keep your Pokemon off the pads, I imagine.
no subject
Yeah, probably, but they looked like they were havin' fun too. Can't be angry at 'em for that.
no subject
Even if it's dangerous?
