there are two rules no murder and no giftboxes
Who: Dangans of all kinds, other non-Dangan invited guests. Anyone who would be at the designated location who wants to party-crash. Although the designated location is, uh...
Where: Goldenrod City, in the Johto equivalent of Chuck E. Cheese
When: Forward-dated to the evening of March 14th.Because Lucy's going to be busy this weekend.
Summary: Nanami uses her birthday to take a bunch of people who wouldn't normally go to a kid's place to a kid's place (though she also invites some people who would be totally chill with it). There is an actual ball pit, what the hell Nanami.
Rating: PG13 at most for some people's language probably KUZURYUU.
Log:
It's pretty obvious by the time the actual location other than "in Goldenrod" is disclosed (though Nanami hands out the address and location so it's possible you could get there without realizing where you're going) that Nanami was completely the one who picked out where they're going. If Kuzuryuu or anyone else she brought up "eating dinner" with thought she would choose a nice sit-down restaurant or at least a legitimate restaurant, they were sorely mistaken. She has, of course, chosen the Johto equivalent of Chuck E. Cheese. Which is, of course, over-the-top with the Pokémon theme. Hands are stamped at the door to show that you've paid to be there.
There are arcade games, playable with tokens purchased and handed out at the door. Tickets are given over from the games based on winning or how well one won, and can turned in at the main counter for ridiculously cheesy prizes that mostly only children would be interested in. There are games other than arcades, such as skee ball and air hockey. There are claw machines with prizes within.
There's also a full-on child's playplace with climbing things, tubes to crawl through, slides, nets, etc. This includes a full-on ball pit.
The food is mostly pizza, although the menu also offers cold-cut sandwiches, buffalo wings, salad bars, and desserts. There's also cake, obviously, which was brought in with the party, as well as a pie. ...There is probably an animatronic show as they eat dinner because this is what Nanami picked and she's totally turning seventeen, the cake says so. There's a table decked out and reserved for the party, so claim a seat for your breaks and eating times and go have a blast! Clearly this night can only end gloriously.
Everyone not in the know of trigger lists would have been warned at some point prior to the party by Nanami not to bring gift-wrapped boxes (bags are apparently acceptable if they are plainish and not involving a lot of giftwrap, as are unwrapped things) with zero explanation of as to why this was.

this is stupid and late
[Listen, do you have any idea how annoying it is to keep a present secret when you can't put it in a box, much less one that squeaks and jabbers on?! The way Souda manages it is to have her walk behind him, but even then he has to glance down at her ever now and then!
All right, all right. So during the month of preparing for her birthday, Souda went out and made a brand new version of Monomi. Granted, she was more like a certain other mini mecha he'd made before in terms of simplicity. It wasn't like she had a pre-programmed voicechip! You try gutting a stuffed rabbit and shoving all sorts of things in it!
When Souda's ready enough, he clears his throat.]
Happy birthday, Nanami! I want ya to say hello to Monomi 2!
[Souda lifts her up, and she squeaks in an overly familiar matter:] Don't give up, Chiaki-chan!
That's...kinda mostly all she's gonna say for now 'til I get more stuff added. She says more, but it's like she's stuck on that one. [All day. All damn day, that's all she's said.]
B) How 'bout them fancy animatronics?
[Considering how sore of a loser Souda is, he's watching the animatronic show with his Totodile, Chevrolet. Seeing as he couldn't have her out much while Monomi 2 was walking with him, she's actually more tame than usual. ...Save for constantly trying to steal his coke and pizza.
Both look strikingly similar when sipping from a straw, though.
Out of everyone, Souda is probably only the one who truly appreciates this sort of thing, not for the music, but for the animatronics themselves.]
B
He looks over at Souda in the midst of it with a curious frown, resting his head in one hand with his elbow propped up on the table.]
Animatronics? What does that mean?
I don't know what we were expecting
Jimmy? The hell?!
[BOY, YOUR BODY PROPORTIONS DO NOT MAKE SENSE. AND THIS IS COMING FROM A GUY WHOSE GAME HAS HIM AND MONDO HAVING THE SAME CHEST SIZE. Y'KNOW, MONDO OOWADA.]
You're... [Who gave you the right.] ...not short at all! [FUCKING--]
I CANT STOP LAUGHING
And yes, if there's one thing that doesn't make much sense about Jimmy, it's his height. Have you ever seen a 6 foot tall 15 year-old? No? WELL HERE'S YOUR CHANCE.]
I.....I'm sorry?
[Congrats Souda, you're the first person in a while to render him somewhat speechless, because he really was not expecting that.]
THEN I HAVE DONE MY JOB
Souda isn't really angry, just-- Okay, he's kind of angry, but can you blame him?]
How?! [At this point, Chevrolet is trying to steal his soda, which he instinctively raises.] Ya look way, way tinier on video, so I just thought...! [Totodile isn't even an electric type. HOW CAN THEY BOND LIKE THIS--]
I don't know, like not really short, but maybe Kuzuryuu's height!
no subject
How? Well I....I dunno, I just...am, I guess?
[Being freakishly tall isn't QUITE as big of a deal when you live among demons who aren't exactly human-size most of the time.
Leader isn't at all sure what to make of this, so he's just going to remain sitting by Jimmy's chair, watching Souda cautiously because boy r u ok.]
them three day timewarps
How can ya...just be? If I could just be, I'd be-- [Souda huffs.] --taller than a lotta people, but that's beside the point, ain't it? [Please note that Sonia is taller than him, because that's a thing.]
no subject
I...I dunno! Nobody can really decide how tall they grow, can they?
[Jimmy you don't understand. You're fifteen.
Presumably.]
A spoilers
...Monomi 2? You made her for me...?
A spoilers
'Course! Who else's she gonna be for? [Nah, Souda's going to stick with her not being fully awake.] For now, she's...kinda like an advanced alarm clock, which is totally helpful, right? Ya like her, right?
A spoilers what happened to my html.............
...An alarm clock? [ UGH, ALARM CLOCKS.
...But it's shaped like Monomi, so... ]
...Yes. I like her a lot.
