KEY:

• BLUE areas are where the bulk of the party's events will be located! As you can see, the festivities will be taking place largely outdoors, and the grounds will reflect that; there'll be the usual decorations of pretty floral arrangements, little lights, things like that. Think upscale garden party! There'll also be a ballroom indoors for more traditionally fancy red-carpet goings-on, but most of the action (and volume of guests) will be found mingling out back.
• GREEN areas are where guests will be staying overnight! Unfortunately, you'll be sleeping-bagging it up, since there's a limited amount of bedrooms in this house and they're all being occupied by Clair, Lance, the Elite Four, and guests who are regrettably way more important than you. However, this is where you'll be given space to leave your possessions, claim some sleeping room, and generally crash for the night once the festivities do you in. (Note: you're welcome to try to sleep elsewhere, but Clair might catch you and disapprove. You don't want that, do you?)
• RED areas are unfortunately off-limits to guests! If asked about them, anyone will tell you that those are the rooms and areas that the Elite Four (and their special guests) have claimed for themselves, and they're sealed off tight. Please don't try to break into them anyway; you'll only be caught and punished.

• AREA A is the designated Indoor Ballroom area, for the people who prefer the classy elegance of a formal red-carpet gala over the more whimsy outdoor garden party atmosphere in the back. There's a big skylight, hardwood floors, tasteful artwork, and classy music — a little more upscale than the shenanigans going on outside, for the people who'd rather that kind of thing.

• AREA B will be the area of interest for anyone hoping to sneak a little Pokemon research on the side: this is the Library/Gallery area of the house. While most of it is your standard "tall shelves of ancient identical books" fare, there are a few points of interest — we've detailed them further right here. Guests are welcome to look around a little, but burying themselves in research the whole time will be highly frowned upon, and you'll be politely encouraged to leave the library alone and go rejoin the festivities if you hole up in there for too long.

• AREA C is...well, the Parking Lot. More importantly, it's where you take your Pokemon battles if you simply gotta get your battle on; keep it out and away from the house, please, and try not to make too much of a mess. Skirmishes, sorties, and sparring will be tolerated here and here alone. Do it anywhere else and you'll be facing some very displeased hosts.

• AREA D is the Elite Four's Trophy Room. Please be quiet and respectful if you come up here to have a look around; it's a solemn kind of place. Here you'll find various collections of badges, ribbons, awards, and trophies put on display, with one wall devoted to each member of the Elite Four. There are also pictures of the Elite Four members themselves, though it seems there's been a changeover since the last prom; the candids and Official Portraits™ depict different people entirely now (with the exception of Bruno) and there are a few photos of some sort of ceremony among the others. These photos include Lance being declared Champion of both regions by Professor Oak, while the rest of the Elite Four look on; Lorelai hugging Will and Karen immediately after their promotion to Elite Four; Agatha and Koga having an exhibition battle between her Gengar and his Crobat; all six of them piling into the frame for what amounts to a massive group selfie, etc.

[That would be Joker, looking a little amused as he comes across the scene. Politely, he tips his head to the Lucario standing guard nearby. Hi there, friend, don't mind him, just curious.]

[So long as this mysterious redheaded guy doesn't start trouble for his trainer or for her egg, Lucario doesn't particularly mind either way. He's just here to keep an eye on things like he's supposed to.

...Well, and to make sure that nobody ganks Cynthia's table by mistake, probably.]

To get through all these books? ...Maybe!

[She laughs a little, carrying another armful over to her tabletop.]

Probably! [He laughs right back.] Well, best a luck ta ya. It's quite a collection. Been seein' more than a few people eager to just set up camp in here.

[Just out of curiosity, he looks over all the books she's starting to pile up.]

This just a hobby, or somethin' ta do with work?

[She's pulling down pretty much everything, to be honest, but at the moment she seems targeted on books about Johto myths and legends, particularly as pertaining to the Burned Tower in Ecruteak City, and the Ruins of Alph outside Violet.]

I guess it's a little of both! I like to study myths about Pokemon...it's mostly just out of curiosity, but I think it's important to learn things like that so we can all better understand Pokemon, don't you think?

Definitely! Myths and the like always start with some sort of truth, don't they?

I don't have the smarts for that sorta thing, 'tho, I'm afraid. [The chuckle at the end of that sentence shows he doesn't much mind.] I just do my best ta work with my troupe and hope I can at least understand them. They really hold me up.

[Angel the Mime Jr. beams in pleasure. While she almost literally radiates joy- psychic types, you know how it is- Joker taps the back of one knuckle on a book on the Ruins of Alph.]

I visited there once. It was quite a place.

The Ruins of Alph? What was it like?

[TELL HER EVERYTHING.]

We have some ruins in my hometown, and I've always enjoyed studying them. I'd love to see the Johto ruins sometime, too!

But it really was quite a place. Lots a psychic Pokemon lurkin' around. I ducked in for just a bit myself, and found a few puzzles that had ta be solved, which was an experience, I can tell ya.

Ended up walkin' away with a little group a Pokemon called Unown. They're definitely... a handful.

[Okay, new plan, she's not going back to Sinnoh after prom, she's going to these Ruins of Alph because apparently there are puzzles.]

Now I really want to go see them!

Well, if ya would like, ya could go along with me and a friend a mine! We had plans ta visit the place, since he seemed interested when I told 'im about it.

Ah, but I shouldn't go around invitin' people like that without introducin' myself, should I? Joker. [And he gives a bow, his Mime Jr. mimicking it perfectly.] Ringleader of the Eve's Garden Circus that's startin' up in Goldenrod.

[Well, that gets a cheery laugh out of her.]

I guess that makes you a different kind of Pokemon "trainer", then! What will you do at the circus? Just performing to entertain people, or are you preparing for a competition?

Didn't know there was any sorta competition we could be trainin' for! So it's just for entertainment~.

But me an' Angel here like ta think we can help bring somethin' new ta Johto. [The two of them smile brightly at each other. An empathetic psychic type like her, it's hard to tell if she's smiling because he's smiling, or the reverse. Either way, it's genuine on both their ends.]

Heard when I first came here that there's only trainers and breeders, but seems a bit borin' ta limit things like that! Pokemon an' humans can work together in all sortsa ways, it seems. Why not bring it ta the big top?

Besides, maybe if the Circus gets famous enough, a dream a mine might come true.

[Well, you know, she's more sociable than some of the other NPCs around here, after all.]

Why wouldn't they know where you are? Don't you have any way to contact them?

[She knows how to interact and everything, it's a miracle]

'Fraid not. It's a wee bit complicated... Just have ta wait until they make it here themselves, unfortunately. If I could bring 'em here on my own, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
