It's that time everyone's been waiting for! Time to put that nasty train robbery behind everyone. After all, haven't you heard?




Throughout the streets of Goldenrod, folks will find all sorts of colorful characters and Pokemon about. Fliers and the like have been regular this last month or so, but the advertising is in full force today just to make it EXTRA apparent that today is the day. Another hint is all the air traffic in the skies- various Flying-type Pokemon that make up the Circus' transportation service. Who knows? Maybe you're one of those using it today!

And of course, who can miss the colorful spectacle that is the circus itself? Past the entrance gate (which will let you onto the circus grounds for a miniscule fee) are dozens and dozens of stalls and little tents. Looming over them is the main tent itself, a monstrosity of bright welcoming colors. There are all sorts of things amongst their ranks, but it's generally fairly easy to find what you're looking for as Pidgey of a feather flock together and all that... From games of all sorts like the usual carnival games to more of a retro arcade, to a set of shops with local crafts and maybe something from the foreign trainers.... Of course, there's also all sorts of food stalls and even shacks for more filling stuff.

With all that alone, you could probably keep busy for most of the day! But surely you aren't forgetting the Big Act?

Yep, the big acts in the Big Top. Times are posted both at the front gate, on fliers you can pick up here and there, and by the entrance to the large tent. For each day, there will be three shows! Better hope you can snag a ticket before they get sold out... Although maybe you'll get lucky for the next show. Or the next day....

Either way, it promises to be a fun few days!

Being the kind of city it is, you can already find plenty of things in Goldenrod. That's just how it is! However, in the stalls of the Eve's Garden Circus, you'll find the sort of things that often get glossed over in this big city atmosphere. These are all things from small businesses or that are handmade.

Homemade soap? There's a stall for that. Looking for jewelry? We got stalls for that. Cute little dolls? You know what's going to be said. There are even totally fashionable hats about! You can find all sorts of things.

Of course, there's not just goods being sold! There's services, too. You have your typical facepainting stalls scattered here and there, and maybe even a SHSL Fortuneteller who might lend out his services...

It's definitely the kind of place that's easy to lose your money at if you're not too careful.

And guess who's been missing apart from that tragically hilarious network post a few weeks ago? That's right. After prom, she seemed to have disappeared off the planet... for reasons yet undisclosed. She does seem pretty happy now, though.]

Awwww, they're adorable! Knit with such a cute, pastel color and done delicately stitch by stitch... it's an art in itself.

[She's standing in front of the cute little doll stall, Skitty at her legs.] It's too bad I don't have the money to afford them.

[She says that a bit loudly. WINK WINK. HINT HINT. NUDGE NUDGE.]

[Bait gotten. Hook, line, and sinker. Hello, Saionji, hope you don't mind another girl with pigtails (pinned up with what looks like cartoony skulls) stopping and leaning over to see what she's looking at.]

[YEAH you still got it, Saionji...!]

Oh, uuum... yeah, I did. [Alright, she can pull this off. From now on, everything is a calculated move to make Maka buy the thing. She has no more pride now after Poolgate 2014, so she can be as kawaii-kawaii moe-moe-kyun as needed.]

But it's okay! I'm just sad because I don't have the money for it right now... uuu...

[Well. The cuteness escapes her, but the blindingly obvious conclusion here is that Saionji wants a doll and it'd be very nice if someone got one for her.]

Ah, that's cute, I think I'll get one of those for myself too. [And a Houndoom while she's at it. She's not much of a doll person but anything to make her room a little more homey is fine.]

[And here we have the passing of the torch--if by torch we mean a tiny Banette to a hellspawn.]

Classical dancing, huh? What's that like? My mom never mentioned stuff like that.

You don't know about it? Well... I guess I can't be surprised. Most of the younger generation don't.

[Sigh.] Which is why I'm trying to revive it! Classical dancing... it's about knowing all parts of your body, right down to the tips of your fingernails. It's about moving and creating a story with only a few props and your body as the text!

It's an art long ingrained into Japanese history and culture. [1000% cool, man.] So, to answer what it's like... it's like the lives and enjoyments of people from the past flaring forward into the present day.

Well...I grew up in America, so that's part of it I guess.

That sounds really cool. Do you think you'd be able to put on a show for everyone some time? There's a theater over in Ecruteak where the Kimono Girls dance, maybe they'd take instruction from you. I'd like to see it!

[Ah, so an idiot Westerner. That explains how she was roped in so easily.]

Oh, I went there before! They're talented... not as much as me, though. And I'm not blowing hot air here. The SHSL title means I'm simply the best at classical Japanese dancing in my whole home world.

[Shower her with praaaaaise!] But, if you're not receptive to the art, you'll probably fall asleep. I'd rather not waste my time on such a futile pursuit if the majority can't even appreciate it.

I know, I've met other SHSL people before. Some of them are my friends. [And others, well. Yep, she's sure aware that they exist.]

Is it not something you enjoy doing just to do it?

Oh? Who do you know?

[Actually curious here.] And I do enjoy performing the art of my country's history, of course! Rather, it's pretty tiring when you're performing to what may as well be an empty theater.

[ ...Well, it's been a little while, so of course Nanami comes over when she spots her classmate. ]

[ Hm...she should buy one for Pekoyama-san, too. ]

[Oh, it's her.

...How does she... react to this? This is the first time she's seen Nanami since the whole, big reveal.] Uwaaah, you're being really buddy-buddy with me, aren't you, Big Sis Nanami?

[She points at the dolls, perhaps a bit commandingly.] How about the Lapras one?

It's been a while since we've seen one another, though...

[ She will pull out her wallet (...skitty-shaped, of course) to get the Lapras doll, apparently in an obliging mood. Though she typically is, unless she's being stubborn about something silly. ]

Mm, I'm the only one who came besides you, though, I think...from our class. The others are all up in Cianwood.

It's only been around half a month.

[Not... not a long time, not really. With her bogged down and everything-] Only one from our class? Well, that's good. [She does not fucking want to deal with anyone.] They probably don't know real entertainment even if it smacked them in the face, anyway!

Well, it's more that no one wanted to leave those in comas unattended...and so I was allowed to go as our representative instead.

Representative? Kyahahah! They want a representative?

[Funny because Saionji knows she's the worst possible person to be a representative... and not sure if she's still proud of it.] Who are all those in comas, anyway?

Why wouldn't they want to go, though? Stunning, talented performances... juggling, tightrope-walking, even the rigged nature of the carnival games build into the carnival atmosphere! It's something of an art in itself.

...Considering Mr. Stooge doesn't mess it up completely, of course, but I'm not so sure if I can trust him to do that.

[Saionji, you were actually sounding wise for a moment.]

Ah, well...they don't really like socializing.

Mr. Stooge is the red-head. Joker! You know, the one who's running this whole carnival.

He did let me call him that, and he's calling me by an even more horrible nickname! So don't get on your high horse about how it's insulting.
