Summary: The Eve's Garden Circus is officially open for business! When it comes to a circus, what better group to put the 'grand' in 'Grand Opening'?

It's that time everyone's been waiting for! Time to put that nasty train robbery behind everyone. After all, haven't you heard?




Throughout the streets of Goldenrod, folks will find all sorts of colorful characters and Pokemon about. Fliers and the like have been regular this last month or so, but the advertising is in full force today just to make it EXTRA apparent that today is the day. Another hint is all the air traffic in the skies- various Flying-type Pokemon that make up the Circus' transportation service. Who knows? Maybe you're one of those using it today!

And of course, who can miss the colorful spectacle that is the circus itself? Past the entrance gate (which will let you onto the circus grounds for a miniscule fee) are dozens and dozens of stalls and little tents. Looming over them is the main tent itself, a monstrosity of bright welcoming colors. There are all sorts of things amongst their ranks, but it's generally fairly easy to find what you're looking for as Pidgey of a feather flock together and all that... From games of all sorts like the usual carnival games to more of a retro arcade, to a set of shops with local crafts and maybe something from the foreign trainers.... Of course, there's also all sorts of food stalls and even shacks for more filling stuff.

With all that alone, you could probably keep busy for most of the day! But surely you aren't forgetting the Big Act?

Yep, the big acts in the Big Top. Times are posted both at the front gate, on fliers you can pick up here and there, and by the entrance to the large tent. For each day, there will be three shows! Better hope you can snag a ticket before they get sold out... Although maybe you'll get lucky for the next show. Or the next day....

Either way, it promises to be a fun few days!

[Fortunately, Bert has picked the nicer of the group (although their individual personalities do tend to be less noticeable when they're in a group like this). The little 'E' Unown kind of floats down under the light pressure of Bert's hand before the whole group weaves back and through the air. Follow the letters, Bert!]

[Joker gives a wave to the trainer and his Arcanine before looking back to Saionji with raised eyebrows. That's a nicer reaction than he was expecting, honestly. There's just a wordless nod before he glances down to Angel, who closes her eyes again. In a few minutes, Invidia the Zoroark and Ruby the Rapidash come trotting out as well. Ruby situates herself near the girl, flames warm but not liable to make anything else catch on fire. Invidia is the one with some hair products- a comb, some ribbons, things like that.]

[As the Zoroark offers them out, Joker shifts his weight onto one leg and observes Saionji.]

...Know what the Pokedex says about Lilligants, Hiyo-chan?

[So. Yes. She is, indeed, aware that by Pokémon standards, she 'doesn't treat her well'. Saionji is at least getting her hair dried... that's one thing. Once she visits the hairdresser to get it cut properly, she might just make it look presentable.]

In the pursuit of skill and training, you can't always treat them well. [Is that a reason, or an excuse?]

[...He won't answer that first question. Because he's a gentleman. Yeah.]

If ya ain't treatin' 'em well, then ya could say that ya ain't trainin' 'em well either. Either way, my lot's been doin' just fine.

[Well.] People's perceptions of 'treating them well' tend to conflict with 'training them well', unfortunately. There's no way I could have become the rightful and talented heiress of the Saionji clan if I was coddled all the time!

[Her projection is almost painful, really.]

[He doesn't really think about it, his hand seeming to rise of its own accord to lightly touch the space where another arm should be. The cape he's been wearing for tonight's shows covers that half of his body well enough so that it isn't as noticeable as it usually, but... there's still nothing there.]

Ain't any sorta child that's useless.

Really? I beg to differ.

[She is perceptive enough to sense there's something just the tiniest bit off, though. She'd normally tone down or back off right about now, for most people... but unfortunately, this is Joker.]

Well, yer a bit a spoiled girl who doesn't seem ta know much, so it can't be helped.

[He just gives a shrug, not seeming to take much offense at it- for now.]

[The answer comes as more exasperated than anything, though.] Videos? Of what?

Of Nako trainin' and dancin' in shows, a course. It can be yer reward for growin' up proper like.

[Well, sort of. After she was forcibly evacuated from the show, anyway.]

[VAPOR VAPOR!!! The Vaporeon still at her feet suddenly springs to life, barking excitedly. Saionji would normally tell him to shut up, but, since when was she anything close to 'normal Saionji' after the prom fiasco?] ...Fine. But what do you mean by 'growing up'? I'm still completely the same.

Yeah, wanna see yer friend shinin', huh? She's a real pretty lady with that flower bloomin'~. [Oh right, Saionji is talking to him-]

Ya really think so?

[If you actually thought she'd so readily admit to you this world is actually able to affect and change her, Joker... well, I don't know what to say.

Her Vaporeon, Naoryuu, does seem to be smiling though. Yes, videos pls. 83]

[Nah, it's fine, he knows he won't get much out of her. He knows he heckles her too much for her to be so honest with him.]

That just means ya really are growin' up if ya aren't feelin' strange~. [Is the singsong really- yes it is.] I'll send a copy ta ya then after everythin' has quieted down.

[Yeeeah, moving back into hostile territory. In any case, Naoryuu is very happily nodding his head up and down!!! Maybe he should go talk to Nako too. Ooooh can be talk to Nako can he?!]

[Since those two are busy assholes at each other, it's Invidia who quietly speaks up.]

Zoro... [She should be finishing up her act right now... Do you want me to find her?]

You should be grateful I have such kind patience for you, Mr. Stooge! If your circus wasn't actually half-decent, I'd have no reluctance towards getting payback!

[A+ trainers, both of them.] Vaporeon! [That would be good!]

Aaaaah, so it was half-decent then? Comin' from Hiyo-chan, that's some high praise!

[jfc you two. Invidia just taps Joker on the shoulder to let him know he's running off somewhere before he disappears back into the big tent. Nako, look out, a Zoroark is looking for you.]

Don't get cocky, it was only enough to entertain me for a while!

[Apart from the snarky retorts back and forth towards each other, Nako is indeed free as of now. Yes, Invidia, what is it?

Naoryuu tries to follow Invidia too, and all of Saionji's other Pokémon kind of... follow... without her noticing...]

[Good thing Joker is such a great distraction, right]

[Invidia opens his mouth to explain when he realizes he's been followed. There's an awkward pause as he looks back at the small group he's accidentally brought back, then back to Nako, then just... a point. You have guests, Nako.]

I'm on grounds to ask for it and more with the damage I've received, if you haven't noticed!

[Thanks, Joker. Nako... whoa, okay, what. She kinda stares up and down, until Saionji's Froslass, Yuki, takes the first move.

And by first move she means HUG THE FUCK OUT OF HER THEY THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD...

...In fact, the only one not reacting like they've seen someone they thought they never would again and reenacting all those #tearfulreunion tropes from the Pokémon anime is Naoryuu. Who's just sitting happily, wagging his finned tail. Sorry Invidia, you're the eighth wheel now.]

Ya can't hold the circus responsible for that. It wasn't one a our performers or one a our Pokemon~. Yer outta luck there!

[And no it's cool. Invidia is used to being on the sidelines. He'll just be over here, playing bodyguard again to make sure nothing gets out of hand. Although considering how happy everyone is, he doesn't think he'll have to get involved.]

[Technically, the Skitty never met Nako but HEY EVERYONE'S HUGGING SO LET'S HUG!!!!]

Maaaw! Mawile! [How did you run?! Tell meeee! Was it scary? Was it nice?] Ampha... [Your flower's bloomed wonderfully!

Nako seems pretty happy too, but after a moment, rather perplexed.] Lilligant! [Wait- if you all are here, does that mean...?

YEP. Saionji Hiyoko is in the circus. Will she take me away?!]
