Who: Neku Sakuraba and anyone at Rocket HQ
Where: Rocket HQ, Goldenrod
When: 8/23
Summary: Neku's first week of training is almost over, but screw actually talking to his new coworkers that's dumb
Rating: PG
Log:
[it had been a Week, and he hadn't woken up.
It was time to accept that he wasn't returning to Shibuya any time soon. And that he was alive. And that his memories weren't returning. He had no reason to stay here other then the vague threats Nagi had offered him his first day, but after talking to people on the gear and getting a tour of the HQ, Neku came to a conclusion: no one had any idea what was going on, but at least the Rockets had the tech to eventually discover SOMETHING. If he wanted his memories back, staying put was best.
And that meant doing his 'job', like it or not.
Today that meant training in the less savory skill sets, but like hell he was getting help from his 'coworkers'. Instead he was in one of the training rooms with his pokemon. Seviper was cuddling the egg Neku had recently bought, but Meowth was showing him the basics of pickpocketing using one of the training dummies. The dummys pockets each had a bell, and every time Neku jiggled one she batted him in the head, hard.
He wasn't doing well]
That's it, I'm done!
[Yeah the cat is laughing at him]

Nagi's control over his pokemon is impressive. And-]
-creepy.

The weights are recalled for a second time, and instead of seeking out another dummy to destroy, Nagi turns back to his Pokemon and lifts his hand, pleased to see the balls follow his direction, though it's a bit jerky and not as precise as he would like.
It's nothing like the real thing, but it's....something. Something he'll hang on to, for now.]

He turns his music up, head bobbing as he gets into the beat. His feet bounce, and he shifts from side to side as the sounds rush in and erase the circumstances, the stress, the over all anger and weirdness bubbling in his blood.
With the music calming his nerves he goes back to the dummy, trusting on his finger tips instead of his sight to slide thin hands into the pockets, the bells much quieter now. Meowth mews happily, jumping down to his shoulder and watching
Sorry Nagi, you're not even here anymore]

Without so much as a glance his way, regardless of the fact that the music has grown loud enough that he can hear it even from a distance, Nagi lifts his hand and pushes out, directing the weights out from his body before pulling back in, then bringing them sweeping around his front to try and get the three to work together. Tetris, the Porygon, might not be a Psychic type in their own right, but Nagi can communicate with all three to an extent. Tetris uses the Gear, while the Abra and Ralts- Neba and Uchi- use Telepathy.
Sooner or later he'll gain more Psychics, and it will be even easier. For now, the progress they have managed to make is encouraging...even though those he has to work with are not.]

Pure power only goes so far, after all.
But Nagi didn't ask, and having made some progress Neku pulls his phones down, the music blaring even louder without his head to block it.]
Having fun training them to be a professional synchronized swimming team?

Nagi's eyes are closed and he doesn't answer, bringing his hand around to pull the weights back close to himself.
He turns to face Neku, blue eyes opening to observe as he almost casually extends his right hand, palm outwards. The three don't hesitate to follow the movement, sending one of the balls hurtling right at Neku. Seconds before it can connect with his face and potentially do some damage, he closes his hand into a fist, and the ball stops to hover in midair, inches from his nose.]
I would hope that they are synchronized. Seems that the training has paid off, wouldn't you agree?

And Seviper. Poor Brave Seviper, who is level 5 and straight Poison, before the ball had even fully stopped, was between Neku and the three (well, 2 and a Normal using the right typing) Psychic pokemon, teeth bared.
Neku is shaking, obviously, as the bells in his hands are chiming softly, but he doesn't bolt]
What the HELL was the point of that?! Literally throwing your balls around? What are you trying to prove?

The balls come rushing back, this time one into each hand, with Neba catching the third as it comes flying over Nagi's shoulder.]
I'm not trying to prove anything. I've just learned it's more productive to practice with a moving target.
You didn't move, though.
[What a shame.]

[He drops the balls back to the floor, and Neba throws his with a bit of an eager noise before going to hang onto Nagi's shoulder again.]
I wasn't going to even acknowledge you being here, but you seemed so insistent to make your presence known.

[Nagi pls.]

But he can't respond, as Nagi just sounds exactly like Neku himself here.
Finally Neku growls and stomps off. He'll come back later after this douche is gone, ugh]

He watches Neku leave before turning back to Tetris and Uchi, jerking his head for them to follow him over to the dummies for more training.
As far as Nagi is concerned, the world can burn, and you can go with it, Neku. You're no different than the rest of them.]
