Who: Neku Sakuraba and anyone at Rocket HQ
Where: Rocket HQ, Goldenrod
When: 8/23
Summary: Neku's first week of training is almost over, but screw actually talking to his new coworkers that's dumb
Rating: PG
Log:
[it had been a Week, and he hadn't woken up.
It was time to accept that he wasn't returning to Shibuya any time soon. And that he was alive. And that his memories weren't returning. He had no reason to stay here other then the vague threats Nagi had offered him his first day, but after talking to people on the gear and getting a tour of the HQ, Neku came to a conclusion: no one had any idea what was going on, but at least the Rockets had the tech to eventually discover SOMETHING. If he wanted his memories back, staying put was best.
And that meant doing his 'job', like it or not.
Today that meant training in the less savory skill sets, but like hell he was getting help from his 'coworkers'. Instead he was in one of the training rooms with his pokemon. Seviper was cuddling the egg Neku had recently bought, but Meowth was showing him the basics of pickpocketing using one of the training dummies. The dummys pockets each had a bell, and every time Neku jiggled one she batted him in the head, hard.
He wasn't doing well]
That's it, I'm done!
[Yeah the cat is laughing at him]

[action] guess who's back, back again
Later being now, and his luck continuing to be terrible, apparently, as he hears Neku's voice ring out just as he's stepping through the entrance.
His expression twitches just slightly, but he proceeds to ignore the boy completely as he starts to cross the room to the other side, Abra on his shoulder, Ralts in his arms, and a Porygon floating curiously behind him.
There are plenty of training dummies here, but he's not heading for any of those. Instead he seeks a far corner, away from Neku and his Pokemon. Hopefully, the other boy won't feel too inclined to call him out for anything.
..But at least Munashi isn't here.]

Ow! Damn it watch the claws ca- Oh, it's you.
[Seviper wags his blades tail happily though! Hi friends!]

Next, he puts the Ralts down on the floor and pulls the Abra from his shoulder, placing him down as well. Lying on the floor are a few weighted balls that look like they've been placed there by someone using them previously.
...And whatever Nagi's up to, he doesn't seem interested in letting Neku in on the secret, much less acknowledging that he's even in here.]

Without a word, Nagi pulls his hands from his lap and slowly lifts them in the direction of the weighted balls, the Ralts and Abra following his movements in unison. The Porygon doesn't move at all, but its eyes begin to glow slightly as the three balls suddenly lift into the air, held aloft by telekinesis via Psychic.
As the boy moves his hand to the right or left, the balls move in the direction he gestures to. He does this for a long moment in silence before eventually rising to his feet, turning his attention to one of the spare dummies nearby. The balls hover at eye-level just shy of his face, and his eyes widen just slightly and his fingers curl an almost imperceptible amount, and his Pokemon react to it.
The three balls go rocketing toward the dummy, two hitting it hard in the chest, and the third slamming so hard into the head that it goes tumbling backwards and down to the floor with a resounding crash as it ends up colliding into a few bits of equipment nearby.]

Especially when the balls wreak a nearby dummy, making Neku jump and curse]
Show off.

What's wrong, Neku? Surely you know good and well how telekinesis works.
Really, if Nagi's powers weren't being suppressed by forces unknown, he could have just as easily taken that dummy down without even moving. Of course, he could have ripped it clean apart, instead of just knocking it down.
Without looking Neku's way, he looks over at the three Pokemon still holding the balls aloft, his gaze shifting to one of the dummies closer to where the boy is standing.
And the balls fly yet again, promptly knocking that one down as well, sending it skidding for a few feet before it stops just shy of where Neku and his Pokemon are.]

She was not particularly good at them (primarily because her daddy was a dark mage and not a thief) and she didn't like them, but...
Well, they were kind of stuck here, weren't they? She figured there had to be some way to get out with no fuss, but... maybe being a double agent could be helpful, too. Still, if someone wasn't too into this end of things...]
...you know, if you're not into stealing stuff, you could probably do little things around the base to help out...
no subject
And stay here doing dishes all the time? No thanks.

[the worst double agent]

[She does have a point. But man that sounds dull as dishwater]

[...she pauses.]
...hahaha, personal trainer.
no subject
[He scowls, showing it was a bad experience.]
no subject
[She smiles sympathetically.]
Well, if you keep trying, you'll definitely get better. It just... takes a while, that's all.

[WELL LOOK WHO IT IS, IT'S ANOTHER GINGER.
More importantly, it's another ginger who's walking in flanked by a mean-looking Zoroark and a meaner-looking Zangoose, and oh, boy, is Zangoose really not thrilled about the sight of that Seviper there.]
Not bad, new kid.
no subject
Meowth on the other hand jumps down to greet the new pokemon. If their mean appearance bothers her it doesn't show]
What better to learn a soft touch from?
no subject
[Speaking of greetings, the man himself doesn't hesitate before crouching down and offering his hand to the approaching cat, clearly amused by her courage — or at least, her indifference.]
Come here, liebchen, aren't you precious.
no subject
She ignores that and trots right up to Schuldig. Yes, yes she is cute]
no subject
Been doing the bell exercise, huh?
[That's directed probably towards the kid, and not so much the cat.]
no subject
Yeah, might as well. Not much else to do here but train.

It was another one of her off days--or rather, a day she felt like slacking off--and she found herself roaming the halls to see who else she could bother. Didn't take long at all to find entertainment in the young man watching his Meowth work its way through the training dummies.]
Quitting already? That's lame.
no subject
Lame for who? Trust me, this isn't fun to watch.
no subject
Lame for me. I don't know about you, but you were providing me plenty of entertainment.

[She moves over.] So, you new?
