HOW TO USE THIS LOG:

Yes, you most certainly will. At least... provided I just don't end up completely numb to all this, of course.

And really, I have no idea. I did hear a few natives complaining about missing keys, but I can't say for certain if it's related or not.

That's... actually starting to look more and more like the probable outcome to this whole... explosion of new species. I think I'll keep a very close eye on it while around other people, just in case.

Yes, that likely would be a wise idea. Do make sure it doesn't become too much of a nuisance if that does turn out to be the case, then.

Don't worry, if it misbehaves I'll keep it locked in our hotel room when I go to work.

...Is what I'd usually say, but in this case it looks like I'll have to take a few extra steps to be safe.

Keeping it in the ball and wrapping it with tape might do the trick... but who knows, yours might end up exceptionally well behaved.

Well, here's hoping... I will try to get you one that isn't terribly behaved, but that's not really much of a guarantee. It honestly could simply be incredibly crafty...

Craftiness, I can deal with. Not quite as well as I'd deal with good behavior, but it's still a big step up from psychopathy.

Well, admittedly, that's a risk too, although I haven't really encountered a Pokemon that hid that sort of thing well yet.

...of course, the key word there is "yet."

From what I've seen they don't bother to hide it at all, well or not. But that 'yet' is still a strong possibility.

Precisely. Either they're extremely aggressive or they're relatively well mannered... though I think some of them have been a bit sarcastic with me.

You can't really complain too much about that, though.

Why would you? It just makes training them more challenging and interesting.

Well, I don't take lip from the majority of humans, either. I can't simply let myself have some sort of strange double standard like that, after all.

Why, because then humans might decide that double standards are unfair and give you lip anyway?

Or the Pokemon would assume they were getting special treatment and take advantage of it.

I'm sure they wouldn't all be crafty enough to do that. Most, but not all.

...really, I'd rather not take the chance that mine would be one of the few. It'd set a bad example for the others.

They do say it only takes one rotten fruit to spoil the whole basket. A fruit that deliberately wants to spoil others would be even worse.

Precisely. Fortunately, even my more poorly behaved Pokemon don't take to rabble rousing, so it's not as bad as it could be... but I'm keeping an eye on them all the same.

I think that's the wisest decision any of us can make, when surrounded by playful and clever critters.

Indeed, it is. Usually, they seem to be fine so long as they're not bored.

Which can be a problem, considering that ensuring they're not can be easier said than done at times.

It depends on the Pokemon, really. Some of them are easier to please than others, but they tend to have relatively simple tastes overall, in my experience.

You don't have half of them demanding their daily dose of interpretative dance the moment you wake up? Lucky you.

...I am suddenly very, very glad I don't actually train any of your Pokemon.
