Summary: Celebrating Christmas at the Circus

For a switch around Crocker is actually excited for Christmas this year but that may be due to the fact this year he knows there's something to look forward too. Santa here for one seemed more forgiving as last year Crocker didn't receive a lump of coal from Claus and not to mention has others to spend time with it this year as well.

He figures as much this is as good as any other day to invite some of his close friends over to meet the circus he's been able to call family.

In the meantime, he'll be wrapping gifts, hanging lights and getting the Christmas tree together and the other various decorations.

There's what seems to be a tiny hint of a frown as Ronald tries to take that all in. Way too many names all at once but he finally gets the hang of it. He manages a nod to all his pokemon in turn before turning his attention back to Snake at his question. "All I've got's Grim here. At the moment. The rest're wandering the grounds... kept a few others in their balls." he begins before pausing a moment to think before shaking his head. No doubt they were fine. "Grim! Say hello!" Ronald finally calls in the direction of his Duskull that's floated over to peer curiously at the Onix. At the sudden call to attention, Grim straightens up and flashes Snake a short salute in greeting.

The reaper manages a short laugh, shaking his head. "He's a bit of a curious sort, m'afraid. Just wants to make friends with the rest is all." he continues. "Hope you don't mind my asking but... where're you from? Came in with Joker's lot, did you?"

Snake's Onix, Quincey, nuzzles Grim with her head as she exclaims to Grim, "You're so cute!" She doesn't mean to, but she almost always uses a bit too much force as she shows her affection.

"Calm down!" the Dratini cries, concern for the Duskull plain in her expression.

Quincey pulls back a bit to ask Grim, "are you okay!?"

Snake doesn't bother translating the exchange. That was between the pokèmon, and he's sure Grim could understand just fine. Instead he nods to Ronald. "I'm also from Noah's Arc Circus, says Gaskell."

Unfortunately for Grim, that Onix is larger than anything he's encountered so far. There's a momentary panic at the sudden nuzzling and it may look like he's going to pass out until he realizes Quincey only means well. So his panic mellows out into a nervous calm as he relaxes into the nuzzling, waving to the dratini when he's finally relaxed. "Y... yeah, I'm fine!" he manages to squeak out at last.

Ronald meanwhile doesn't seem too concerned, folding his arms behind his head even as his duskull is being smothered with affection. After all, he's been in tougher scrapes. His attention is returned to Snake however when he mentions the circus and it's almost as if he brightens up to hear that. "S'that right? You're from home then! Fancy that!" he laughs back. "That makes prolly around... five of us then, including yours truly."

Snake blinks in surprise. He didn't recognize the man in front of him, but if he says that they're from the same world it isn't all that strange. It isn't like he got to really know anyone outside of the circus. "Is that why you joined Eve's Garden, asks Gaskell?"

Meanwhile Quincey goes back to nuzzline Grim, this time a bit more gently. "Welcome to the circus," the onix exclaims. The dratini moves over to welcome Grim with a mid-air spin, "I'm Zola! Do you have any fun acts?"

"Any port in the storm, mate. Better'n going alone, I say." the reaper begins, laughing softly as he shakes his head. That first meeting was all too convenient but it put a roof over his head and kept him busy so he really couldn't complain. "Wager you've known him from the circus back home, then?" Ronald continues, finally relaxing in the other's presence as he glances at his duskull momentarily.

At least his partner seems to have made friends. That was always one thing he liked about pokemon. They seemed to get along rather well... especially this crew seeing how Grim had settled himself rather comfortably with the others though he still seemed a bit flushed about the nuzzling. "Ron's doing the knife act. I've been helping... though it's just me and Ginny helping him out for now. What do you guys do?" the duskull asks.

Snake is a little surprised that his act isn't known. then again, he hasn't been living in the circus like he had back home, and there's not really any 'first tier' going on here. It still felt strange to need to inform another performer and to be so out of the loop of who did what.

Two of his pokèmon seemed to be thinking along similar lines as they laugh at Ronald. They explain to Grim that it seemed strange that they didn't know when Snake and Joker brought the circus to life together. Snake blushes a little, not thinking that it was that big of deal, when his pokèmon were clearly proud. He translates for Ronald, "Snake is the snake charmer, of course! says Ruskin."

"Oh, well, course you are. Been spending far too much time running around town to introduce myself to the rest of you lot." The reaper replies with a small grin, ruffling his own hair a moment. He'd been carefuly not to let Joker's little secret out, after all... and suffice to say Snake wasn't a familiar face among the hundreds of souls he and William had gathered up that night. Better to be safe than sorry.

"Ron says he only kind of met Joker once back home... but you guys might be more familiar with his boss?" Grim continues, tilting his head this way and that.

Snake shrugs, "I tend to stay to myself, says Ruskin."

Zola tilts her head and puts her tail tip to her mouth, thinking. "Maybe. Who is his boss?

"It happens, mate. It happens. Not everyone's the sort that fancies rubbing elbows." he replies casually, tilting his head as he continued to watch Snake a moment. As far as humans go, this guy's fairly different from the rest that he's been exposed to.

Grim meanwhile tilts his head to think. "Ron says they called him Suit when he was with Joker and the rest." he replies. "Taller gent, slicked back hair... kind of looks like this."

And with that, he pulls the most serious face a Duskull can muster. Of course, that really probably doesn't help much.
