The orders are pretty simple. Go in. Wipe out the Team Aqua and Magma Grunts. That's it. So there's not going to be any farewell speeches or anything like that from the Admins because they're of the opinion that you guys have totally got this.

And if you don't...

Well, don't worry about that for now.

Instead, just worry about getting to the nearest base and boarding a helicopter. After that, you've got a short (or long, depending on which base you're heading to) ride ahead of you to some islands in the middle of the ocean, inhabited by a bunch of Aqua and Magma Grunts who have no idea this surprise is on the way. So just do what you do best, Rockets!

And as far as the Admins are concerned what you do best should be to win at all costs. Anything less and well, that would just be an embarrassing return to the region for them. And nobody wants that.

[She lets Fiona take the Air Slash - it's more important that her Heliolisk keeps his health, considering that's how they're going to beat that Golbat.

Oddly enough, further attention's not coming from down the hall, it's coming from inside the room you just blew a hole in, Kato. Standing in there is a Magma Grunt who just looks completely bewildered because this guy just blew up the wall with his Pokemon and then proceeded to completely ignore everything to type and what is even going on today.

“What,” is about all he manages to get out right now. He's still trying to figure out what's going on here.

Level 100? Bring it. Against Slasher, they're evenly matched. While crushing weaklings to a pulp is fun and all, there's something refreshing about a challenge for once.

Rideaux and Slasher don't bother slowing down from their running pace as that Sharpedo shoots at them. He gives a quick nod in Slasher's direction, and before the shark can barrel into both of them, Rideaux splits up to the side while Slasher faces it head-on.

"Close Combat!"

Slasher uses all of his momentum to deliver a powerful punch right into the shark's snout, his sharp claws digging at its skin.

In the meantime, Rideaux skids to a halt, now between the Grunt and the battling Pokemon. He can't help but smirk as he turns to face the Grunt.

"Isn't it obvious? We're taking what is rightfully ours. That means cleaning up the mess inside."

[And as usual, the Alakazam uses Protect to block the Mightyena. Man, this would be a super boring battle if Emmy wasn't here!

...Then the Air Slash hits and well. So much for Archer's Alakazam. He looks irritated by that and once again calls out the Bisharp.]

Iron Head, Queen. If that Golbat's still standing after that attack, I want it wiped out.

[So she'll go charging in after that attack, then!!

And NO U EMMY you try fighting a high leveled Pokémon when yours has a serious type disadvantage okay!!!!]

Look, Celes is happy to be winning, but...this is just....

"Victoria..."

...her Gothitelle actually feels kind of bad to be doing this, because that...is clearly a baby Pokemon and despite the fact that her trainer is very unpleasant, she's actually rather nice. However, orders are orders, so it'll be getting a Confusion attack.

...her trainer wanted Psychic, but this will do. Either way...

"Are you done? Or are you going to throw an egg at me, next?"

Thunderbolt and Iron Head both connect and Golbat's...not looking too good right now. On the other side of things, Mightyena's trainer's not too happy about being ignored.

“Hey, I'm still here! Let me remind you by hitting that Heliolisk with a Take Down!”

Mightyena darts forward towards its new target because, let's be honest here, anything against that Bisharp isn't going to do much damage.

“Golbat! Confuse Ray on Bisharp!”

Yeah, they can't really hurt it. But maybe they can confuse it so it hurts itself? Clearly these two are master strategists.

[Kato is still angrily typing on his laptop when the Grunt appears, but to his credit, he does actually pause for a moment to look at him.

...well he wasn't going to check if any enemies were in the room, was he?]

Oh, I'm sorry, was that your wall?

[YEAH, TAKE THAT, ENEMY GRUNT

GOD, IT'S GOOD TO BE A VILLAIN]

There's more where that came from if you don't get lost. Team Rocket is taking control of this base, so I'd recommend you run.

[Reaching into his pocket, Kato retrieves a Pokeball. Time to play.]

Sharpedo slams into Slasher's fist before skidding backwards in a collision that probably looked pretty cool to anyone watching. Unfortunately, its trainer is way too busy being annoyed at Rideaux and Team Rocket in general to be awed by ridiculous Pokemon fighting.

“Rightfully yours? This base is the rightful property of Team Aqua, and the only mess here is the mess we're going to make you Team Rocket for invading our territory! Now Sharpedo, Ice Fang!”

The shark darts forward again, fangs bared, looking to freeze that Zangoose. Will it work?

“You won't...you're not going to get away with this!”

He's just going to collect his baby Pokemon and try to run out of the room. To go Escape Rope out of here and contact somebody because guys Team Rocket is invading and it wasn't his fault, but he completely failed at stopping one of them.

Dude, he's still trying to process that there was a wall there a minute ago, he doesn't know what you're going on about.

“I don't know what you're talking about, but there's no way we're letting Team Rocket take over our base.”

He holds out a Pokeball and tries to look tough. Keyword being try.

“If you think you're going to get any farther here, you're going to have to beat me in a Pokemon battle!”

And then as an afterthought:

"And you're the one who should run, or you'll be sorry!"

"Yeah! Well, I mean...he used the camera and took it for me, it's just me and the lavabeast in the picture. You wanna see?"

He starts to reach for his Gear, then stops and casts the Grunt a questioning look, like he's asking permission to get the thing out without being jumped for reaching for a weapon or something.

Even though she's annoyed, Celes isn't going to bother pursuing the Grunt and his Numel. It's just...look, it's pointless. How about we just...don't.

However, she can't resist yelling something after him, because...well the yelling is actually kind of fun, really.

[Victoria and Charlotte look rather pleasantly surprised with that compliment; their trainer isn't very forthcoming with them, usually, so to get one is...nice. It's very nice! They'll start going through those crates with gusto, then.

Their trainer, meanwhile, seems more interested in scrolling through her Gear while they look. Might as well take a break for a moment.]

He thinks for a moment. This could be a trick...but he also wants to know exactly what this lavabeast thing is, so...

“Okay, sure.”

He'll just watch Schuldig carefully to make sure there's not going to be a surprise Pokeball or something instead of a camera. Which doesn't even make sense since he already has Pokemon out, but still!

[The good news, in Schuldig's opinion, is that Nagi isn't here right now. He is here, and Kato is here, and Dist is here, and Nagi is decidedly not here and that is probably a good state of affairs for things to remain in, all things considered. He's already starting to get keyed up for the sake of the mission; despite his insistence on giving off the impression of being relaxed, he's absolutely getting psychologically tuned up in preparation, and quite frankly the adrenaline of having Dist hail him is doing a fair job towards getting that honed to a razor's edge anyway, so he can't really mind it.]

[Grrrrr that Golbat is still on the field! It's hard for Emmy to resist the urge to leap into the fray herself...although she does recognize that such a thing would be kind of stupid.

...okay, very stupid. Besides, Archer would probably laugh at her, and we can't have that!]

Thunderbolt again, Henry! I'm getting tired of these two!

[No sense in changing a good thing, after all; once Henry is back on his feet after that Take Down attack (which hurt, darn you!), he immediately fires off another Thunderbolt at that Golbat. Fighting Flying types is his favourite!]

[Okay, you Grunts are awful. Archer's not about to deal with a confused Pokémon right now, so he returns Queen. Instead he calls out a Bisharp. Once again he doesn't have to give this one orders, so the Pokémon immediately uses Heal Pulse on Henry to try to help with that Take Down attack.]

Okay, that's definitely this dude and that's definitely Groudon and what is even going on?

“That's is...definitely cool!”

Apparently he's gone from confused and wary to being completely impressed by this.

“He never lets any of us take pictures with Groudon!”

[Whether he actually has any idea who he's talking to or not is difficult to say; his attitude is cavalier enough that it's entirely possible he's just high on the mission and felt like chatting it up with whoever he happened across, regardless of the situation.]

I'd advise against calling me a pathetic fool, though; I might take it personally.
