You have no chance to survive
Who: Rocket Grunts, Magma Grunts, and Aqua Grunts! Basically all the Grunts!
Where: The Whirl Islands and Cinnabar Island
When: February 1st
Summary: Pretty much this
Rating: PG-13? It doesn't need to higher than that? Right, guys?
Log:
The orders are pretty simple. Go in. Wipe out the Team Aqua and Magma Grunts. That's it. So there's not going to be any farewell speeches or anything like that from the Admins because they're of the opinion that you guys have totally got this.
And if you don't...
Well, don't worry about that for now.
Instead, just worry about getting to the nearest base and boarding a helicopter. After that, you've got a short (or long, depending on which base you're heading to) ride ahead of you to some islands in the middle of the ocean, inhabited by a bunch of Aqua and Magma Grunts who have no idea this surprise is on the way. So just do what you do best, Rockets!
And as far as the Admins are concerned what you do best should be to win at all costs. Anything less and well, that would just be an embarrassing return to the region for them. And nobody wants that.

...now if only the uniform wasn't quite so stupid. This skirt with these boots....horrendous...
At least she has Victoria the Gothitelle to help her make it to the ground without embarrassing herself.
So if you happen to be a member of Team Magma, you might notice a female grunt with (DANGAN RONPA SPOILERS) short black hair and rather pale eyes, walking silently through one of the rooms in the base, accompanied by a Gothitelle.
...speaking of which-]
You're rather happy today, you know.
[It's true; Celes has never seen Victoria quite this...exuberant. Could it be because of all this Team Rocket nonsense? Hmmm...
...well. Anyway, Celes will keep walking around the room, her hands linked together in front of her. Maybe there's something worth stealing in here...that's what Team Rocket does, isn't it? Steal things?
...
...oh, whatever.]

Which makes it weird that the door to that one room with the crates of scarves is open. Why they even have so many scarves is beyond him, but hey, Maxie sent them here, so there must be some reason. He'll just poke his head in here to see what's going on, and...
...um.
Who is that? And why does that look like a Team Rocket uniform?
“Who are you? What are you doing in here?”
no subject
"Beatrice."
With a flash, Celes' Ninetales appears, roaring (or, well, making the closest noise to a 'roar' that she can manage) and gnashing her teeth. She doesn't approach the Magma grunt just yet, instead pacing back and forth in front of her trainer, not taking her eyes off her target.
...now is the point where Celes should say something, isn't it...what is it that Team Rocket says?
"Your base belongs to us, now. I'd run, if I were you."
...that was so lame, and yet...kind of...fun?
...whatever.
no subject
“Run? You're the one who should be running if you think you're going to fight fire with fire! Go! Mightyena!”
Out of the Pokeball comes a growling Mightyena. Which isn't a fire Pokemon. Then again this is Team Magma whose Grunts tend to only rotate between three Pokemon and only one of them is a fire type. Anyway, it's at level 89 and just sort of waiting for a command, so it looks like the first turn goes to Celes.
no subject
This is one gamble that she doesn't intend to lose.
"Inferno."
Hopefully those legwarmers make for good insulation from the heat; Beatrice releases her attack with gusto, aiming right for that Mightyena. Behind her, Victoria steps in front of Celes, ready to protect her from any stray flames.
Beatrice always did tend to get a bit...overenthusiastic.
no subject
“Mightyena, don't just stand there and take that. Use Take Down! Show them the true power of Team Magma!”
Which apparently involves running headfirst at Beatrice because that's what Mightyena's doing. Also don't diss the leg warmers. They're totally this Grunt's favorite part of the uniform. And they totally look better than those stupid Rocket shoes.
no subject
"Don't worry, I'm fine - Beatrice, use Flamethrower! Burn it to ashes!"
That Take Down attack has injured Beatrice and she's not happy about it; pushing herself back on her feet, she channels all her rage into her Flamethrower attack, sending it straight at the Mightyena.
no subject
“Roar!”
He knows it can't really deal with being set on fire again, and nothing he's got would fare any better right now, so his best bet is to try and force a switch here. Maybe it'll work? Or the move'll fail and Mightyena gets incinerated. Who knows?
no subject
...at least the Pokemon that came out is a decent one, however. Not that any of hers aren't decent, but you know.
"Don't waste my time with such stupid techniques. Finish it with Jump Kick, Isabella."
Celes' Lopunny, Isabella, immediately leaps into action, taking a few quick steps towards the Mightyena before launching herself into the air, one foot extended and aimed right at its face.
no subject
So funny story, that was actually this Grunt's strongest Pokemon, so he's going to recall it and just sort of try and figure out just what the heck he's going to do now. And apparently that's send out another Mightyena, this one's level 38. Probably not going to do much here, but after talking about how great Team Magma is, he doesn't really feel like he can back out of it now. Besides, there's no running from a trainer battle!
“Mightyena! Use Sand Attack! Blind that bunny with the power of the earth itself!”
...wow, that was really overdramatic for “kick sand in that thing's face.”
no subject
"Is that the best you can do? Use Thunderbolt."
Angrily clawing at her eyes, Isabella tries her best to shake all the sand from her face; at least this attack doesn't require too much accuracy, however. Balling her paws into fists, she throws her head back and screams, electricity starting to crackle around her body and shooting towards that Mightyena once it's gathered enough charge.
no subject
If only Maxie was here with his Primal Groudon. Then she'd be on the losing end. Probably, anyway. And despite his Pokemon's Sand Attack, Thunderbolt hits which is just his luck. At least it's not paralyzed though. That would be really bad. Mightyena's health being almost gone already is already bad, but it could be a lot worse.
“Use Roar again!”
Maybe this time, he'll get something he can actually handle? Probably not though.
no subject
"You can keep switching between my Pokemon all you like, you fool. You'll never find one you can actually beat. I'm going to extinguish you."
Apparently she means that rather literally; after a nod from her trainer, Charlotte immediately zips forward, her tail glowing bright blue.
"Let's see how your stupid dog does against my Milotic's Aqua Tail."
...hmm. You know, she could really get used to this 'villainy' thing...
no subject
“Shut it! Go! Numel!”
And out comes a level 12 fire camel. Yup. That's happening.
“Magnitude!”
The camel...jumps?! and causes a small localized earthquake upon landing! Was this a bright idea to do inside a volcano base? Probably not!

The last piece of Celes' outburst is cut off when Victoria lifts her off the ground to avoid any impact from that...Lvl 12 Magnitude. Look, better safe than sorry; the last thing she needs his her trainer getting injured. That would be a complete headache...
"Hydro Pump!"
Charlotte is able to shake off the effects of the Magnitude attack fairly easily; sorry in advance for the...um, Lvl 100 Hydro Pump heading your way, Numel.
no subject
Is anyone surprised by this? What the Grunt is surprised by though is her reaction because wow, rude. And from the look on his face, it's sort of clear that he really really really doesn't want to use his last Pokemon. But he sort of has to, so here we go.
“Go! Numel!”
It's another Numel. ...a level 5 Numel.
Look, one of the other Grunts had an egg batch a couple weeks ago, and he got one. He wasn't expecting to have to battle it any time soon.
“Tackle!”
That baby camel sure is trying to charge Victoria. It was that, Growl, or Ember. This was the only real choice.
no subject
Look, Celes is happy to be winning, but...this is just....
"Victoria..."
...her Gothitelle actually feels kind of bad to be doing this, because that...is clearly a baby Pokemon and despite the fact that her trainer is very unpleasant, she's actually rather nice. However, orders are orders, so it'll be getting a Confusion attack.
...her trainer wanted Psychic, but this will do. Either way...
"Are you done? Or are you going to throw an egg at me, next?"
no subject
“You won't...you're not going to get away with this!”
He's just going to collect his baby Pokemon and try to run out of the room. To go Escape Rope out of here and contact somebody because guys Team Rocket is invading and it wasn't his fault, but he completely failed at stopping one of them.
1/2
However, she can't resist yelling something after him, because...well the yelling is actually kind of fun, really.
"Get out of my sight, you pathetic fool!"
...

...
...now what?]
...I suppose we may as well see if anything in here is worth taking.
[...]
Well done with the battle, by the way.
[Victoria and Charlotte look rather pleasantly surprised with that compliment; their trainer isn't very forthcoming with them, usually, so to get one is...nice. It's very nice! They'll start going through those crates with gusto, then.
Their trainer, meanwhile, seems more interested in scrolling through her Gear while they look. Might as well take a break for a moment.]
no subject
...
Guess who's leaning against the doorjamb offering up a much-deserved round of applause, Celes.]
1/2
I don't know what you're playing at, but-
no subject
...you know, Victoria, you really could have warned her-]
Gah-!
[To her credit, she doesn't drop her Gear; however, her free hand will be going straight to her cap so she can yank it roughly down over her face.
Of all the people to see her like this...]
What are you doing here?! Who are you?!
[...well, that was a very natural reaction. Swearing under her breath, Celes moves backward a step. Shit shit shit shit, how is she supposed to get out of this?!]
