You have no chance to survive
Who: Rocket Grunts, Magma Grunts, and Aqua Grunts! Basically all the Grunts!
Where: The Whirl Islands and Cinnabar Island
When: February 1st
Summary: Pretty much this
Rating: PG-13? It doesn't need to higher than that? Right, guys?
Log:
The orders are pretty simple. Go in. Wipe out the Team Aqua and Magma Grunts. That's it. So there's not going to be any farewell speeches or anything like that from the Admins because they're of the opinion that you guys have totally got this.
And if you don't...
Well, don't worry about that for now.
Instead, just worry about getting to the nearest base and boarding a helicopter. After that, you've got a short (or long, depending on which base you're heading to) ride ahead of you to some islands in the middle of the ocean, inhabited by a bunch of Aqua and Magma Grunts who have no idea this surprise is on the way. So just do what you do best, Rockets!
And as far as the Admins are concerned what you do best should be to win at all costs. Anything less and well, that would just be an embarrassing return to the region for them. And nobody wants that.

Good, good. I just finished obscuring Rosamund's collar somewhat, should she get hit in that area.
[While Rosamund looks very happy with her new fancy collar, the idea of getting hit in the neck is never a pleasant one. Thanks for that idea, trainer...
Dist shifts a bit to produce his tablet from an inside sleeve of his lab coat. He powers it on to show Kato similar tracking screens.]
All of the Pokemon I created have been distributed and are being properly tracked. We'll see how well they hold up during battle- though of course I have high hopes for them. They were modified by me, after all.
[Slipping his tablet back into his coat, he settles into his usual resting position, leaning on one side- toward Kato in this case. As he gently strokes Rosamund's petals, he continues to look at his partner.]
I'm proud of you, you know. You've been working very hard these last few weeks. I've no doubt that your creations will produce similar success.
[It's definitely good for the both of them to get out on the field again, especially when they get to put their hard work to use.]
no subject
...
...you said you're proud of him and his explosive inventions
nobody has ever said that to him
...give him a minute]
Well, I certainly hope so. It wouldn't do to disappoint my boss, after all.
[He's trying very hard to be smug but that comment threw him a bit. Honestly...]
Thank you for agreeing to help me test my invention, by the way. It's much appreciated.
[...]
I'm proud of you too, you know. You've come a long way.
[Apparently we're just going to have a Moment in this helicopter, Dist]
no subject
Of course, I'm happy to help. But don't let this get to your head though- you haven't even entered the woods yet. I expect these collars to work with excellent accuracy- especially the one for Rosamund.
[There are times where he has to get real and be a serious boss though: this is one of them!
...but then Kato had to go and compliment him back. Damnit. Surprisingly he's able to keep composed, though he does display a brief look of surprise before retreating to his coping mechanism of choice: smug, smug everywhere.]
Why thank you. It hasn't been easy of course, but I manage.
[No helicopter ride is completely without a Moment, clearly...
OKAY SERIOUSLY THOUGH.]
I know we've spoken a few times about it, but I want to confirm your plans once we land. I'd like to keep track of you even after we've separated inside.
no subject
Of course, sir.
[Since we should probably start behaving like Division Head and subordinate, after all.
...even if that compliment was rather nice, hee.]
I intend to make my way into the heart of the base and find the best spots where I can test my invention. I'm thinking of blowing holes in the walls, so it's easier for us to infiltrate it properly.
Anyone who is foolish enough to get in my way will be removed accordingly.
[Even if he can't Explode, it's so fun watching Hydra battle, after all...maybe he could bypass the Pokemon and just send him after the trainers...]
You'll be able to contact me on my Gear at any time, and I'll have Ranpu with me. If all else fails, Kaiser should be able to contact him.
Where do you intend to go?
no subject
He nods along to Kato's explanation as he continues to idly pet Rosamund, seemingly content with how he intends to go about things.]
Indeed, the quicker we get inside, the quicker we can clear them out. They won't be expecting us to get that far in with such efficiency. There will likely be more Grunts toward the center, however. But with Hydra, I don't expect that to be a problem.
[If there's one thing Kato's good at, it's crowd control. Taking out multiple Grunts at a time should be simple enough.]
I will remain near the back of the pack-monitoring the progress on my experiments is my top priority. I will of course, battle if need be. I doubt the Grunts are just going to sit there and let me float out of their reach.
[Though it would be nice if they could just roll over and give up for him! He has way more important things to do. He has science to do.]
no subject
Excellent. I'll be sure to keep you updated in regards to my progress, and I'll keep an eye on anyone who I see using one of your experiments. They sound like they're going to be incredible.
[Putting giant fangs and claws on Pokemon so that they can destroy things more effectively? It brings a tear to his eye...]
At this stage, I think I can safely say that our victory is rather likely. They won't stand a chance against us.
[HELL YEAH LET'S BEAT UP SOME NERDS, BECAUSE WE ARE TOTALLY NOT NERDS
...
...at least we don't wear legwarmers.]
no subject
[Totally the pinnacle of cool, this one.
He nods to the next bit, taking a glance around at the other Rockets scattered about the inside of the helicopter.]
I am inclined to agree with you. Even dealing with just us would be enough of a threat, but we have quite a group headed for their base. Honestly, they should be fearing for their safety- many may not come out unscathed.
[And it would be so boring if they did, so that's a good thing.
He and Rosamund perk up a bit as the intercom comes to life. It's the pilot alerting all Rockets on board that they're nearing the side of Cinnabar Island and that they'll need to prepare to jump out to reach the base.]
I suppose that is our cue. Can I just say that I am very glad I decided to bring the chair along? How barbaric it would be if we had to jump too.
[Honestly.
He turns to Kato, that smirk having never really left his face. There's quite a bit of excitement in his eyes too.]
Ready to go, partner?
no subject
...it's probably also due to the fact that he's practically shaking from anticipation, but you know. He can't help but get excited! It's been so long since he and Dist have had a chance to put their talents to use in the field, after all.
Grinning, he nods at Dist's question - adding a wink once he's answered.]
Always.
[Nodding to Ranpu, Kato tightens his grip on Dist's chair as they prepare to lift off properly; it would hardly do to fall off, especially in front of all these other members! Fortunately, he's fairly familiar with how the chair moves, and he knows Dist can pilot it properly.
...is 'pilot' the correct word to use? Oh well, close enough.]
We're going to arrive in style, Dist; rather appropriate, don't you think? I must say, I'm desperate to get started! I'm going to make these fools my finest work of art yet!
no subject
[But that's why they're invading in the first place: this base is in desperate need of redecorating!
Y'know, with Rocket stuff and also some structural damage from explosions and Pokemon attacks. Totally much more fabulous than whatever these Magma savages could ever come up with.
After having a brief chat with Rosamund, he returns her to her Pokeball for the time being. She'll be safer in there on the way down. By this time, their fellow Rockets are making their own leaps out of the side of the helicopter. It'll be their turn next.
Grinning himself now, he secures his own grip on the arms of the chair, the fingers of his right hand gliding over the control panel on that arm. With a few taps into the panel, the magnetic Pokemon on the back and bottom of his chair come to life, and the chair rises and moves forward toward the door.]
You're going to want to hold on very tight, Kato. It'll be jarring at first, but I promise you'll find it quite exhilarating once we get going.
[He gives Kato a few more seconds to get situated as the remaining Rockets jump, clearing the way for them. Then...]
Now!
[He jams his finger onto the control panel to activate full flight mode. The sound of electricity can be heard pulsating through the chair and Pokemon powering it, and suddenly they jolt forward and upward at an incredible speed as the safety of the helicopter falls away behind them, leaving only open ocean and the enormous cliffside of Cinnabar Island dead ahead.
Dist has always been one to make an exist in style.]
Now this is more like it! Team Magma, prepare yourselves!
[And he may also be laughing, just a little bit.]
no subject
...his smirk may be a little tight, but if you happen to notice that, it's your imagination!]
This is certainly one way to make an entrance!
[Ranpu is also managing to keep up with the speed of the chair, happily floating along behind the pair as they make their way down to the entrance of the base.
...the laptop is floating behind him, which might make for an amusing sight. Shifting ever-so-slightly as they get closer to the ground, Kato gives Dist a thumbs-up.]
Just drop me down there; I'll head inside as soon we land!
no subject
Without putting much thought into it, he shifts his free hand to grip onto one of Kato's. He's got this, no one's gonna fall off.
His cheerful tone doesn't change, however. He's still very much into this brief flight.]
It's the only proper way to make an entrance!
[Kato is most certainly getting to experience things: Dist the Rose style. Imagine, this is how he got around all the time back home. And if the way he's grinning excitedly as they zoom toward the arrival point is any indication, flying around in a huge fancy chair is one of his few joys in life.
...At least one of them is enjoying himself.
Nearing the drop point, he taps a few commands into the control panel to slow the chair down considerably. Eventually it safely slows to a stop just a few inches above the ground like on the helicopter.
Dist once again faces Kato with a pleased smirk.]
So what did you think? It beats dropping down, mmm?
no subject
He really does care.
Once they're close to the ground and Dist has brought the chair to a halt, Kato turns to face him properly, and grins.]
That was far more fun than just falling. You certainly know how to make an entrance.
[Pausing for a moment, Kato watches their fellow grunts (and above) streaming into the base, until he's sure that no-one is looking at them.
...the chair did get a few odd looks, but they were clearly all just jealous!
Anyway. Leaning forward, continuing to grin, Kato plants a quick kiss on Dist's lips, ducking back and leaping off the chair before he has a chance to react properly.]
I'll see you later, sir.
[...they're gunna have so much fun.]
no subject
Ah-!
[He inches the chair forward, calling out as Kato heads inside.]
Good luck! And don't let me down!
[He knows Kato won't let him down, but again, he has to keep up the serious boss visage at least sometimes.
With his partner safely inside, it doesn't take long for Dist to follow, but he doesn't go very far in. Moments after, he's found a safe place to float- joined by Kaiser Dist X-M2 directly under him. It's the perfect setup. With his electronic tablet back out and running, all he has to do is watch as the data flows in.
As he watches the screen, he allows himself to reflect back on earlier.]
Was that for good luck?
[He chuckles to himself as he muses about it. Perhaps there will be a celebratory one if they succeed. Well, best to focus on the mission to make sure that happens.
There's so much fun to be had.]
