The orders are pretty simple. Go in. Wipe out the Team Aqua and Magma Grunts. That's it. So there's not going to be any farewell speeches or anything like that from the Admins because they're of the opinion that you guys have totally got this.

And if you don't...

Well, don't worry about that for now.

Instead, just worry about getting to the nearest base and boarding a helicopter. After that, you've got a short (or long, depending on which base you're heading to) ride ahead of you to some islands in the middle of the ocean, inhabited by a bunch of Aqua and Magma Grunts who have no idea this surprise is on the way. So just do what you do best, Rockets!

And as far as the Admins are concerned what you do best should be to win at all costs. Anything less and well, that would just be an embarrassing return to the region for them. And nobody wants that.

Oh goodie. Mamoru tries to defend against the Acrobatics but it's already taken a lot of damage, and it flops over with a cry.

He runs through his team lineup again and - aha. He knows just what to do. He releases Rin, his Absol, who stands in front of the Golbat proudly. Finally, she can conduct some Team Rocket business.

"Psycho Cut."

Yep, they're back to this again, but why mess around with something not as effective?

AND HERE WE GO AGAIN.

“Stop doing that! Jeez, did you teach every Pokemon you have that stupid move?”

Like she has any room to talk given her army of Golbats, and her clearly never before seen tactic for this next turn.

“Confuse Ray!”

"It's not my fault they all ended up learning it naturally."

... So no, it totally wasn't planned, but it works out like it was. But speaking of things that aren't planned...

"Psycho C -"

Aaand Rin the Absol just slashes herself in the face by accident. Dammit.

Finally, things are going Team Aqua's way for once! Yup, everything's coming up Team Aqua!

“Golbat, use Wing Attack!”

Let's see if she can keep things going for Team Aqua, or if the tide turns back to Team Rocket.

Really. Wing Attack. Micchy looks almost bored as the attack hits Rin, and he opens his mouth to tell her another attack and -

Nope. Swiping at herself again. Confusion, why are you the worst?

Yeah, look bored all you want, Micchy. Doesn't change the fact that it worked.

“All right! Now let's follow that up with another round of Acrobatics!”

And now there's a completely unnecessary backflip from Golbat before it divebombs towards that Absol. She's got this in the bag now, so she can afford to let her Pokemon be flashy.

That hit is enough to send Rin down, so he recalls her and runs through his team roster. Great. He doesn't have that many options. Hotaru is probably too weak for this, but Yoshiro is injured...

He sends his Kadabra out again, and sends a mental direction to him to use Recover. Sure, it might be kind of a cheap move, but who cares at this point?

Well, she's not really sure what Kadabra's doing, but she figures she shouldn't quit while she's ahead.

“Bite!”

And we're back to that again. Someone please buy Team Aqua some TMs this is getting sad.

Bite is a solid move from the Golbat, but honestly Yoshiro is just annoyed at this point, and so is Micchy. The Kadabra sends out a Psybeam, just trying to get this over with.

"Just give up already."

“No way! Team Aqua never...gives...oh...wait, no!”

Psybeam KO's Golbat! It's all over!

“You've got to be kidding me!”

She'll never live this down. In fact, she's not even sticking around to hear him gloat, and is immediately escape roping out of here. Enjoy your victory, Micchy, and have fun looting the base if you choose to do so!

He just laughs a little bit, and recalls Yoshiro, going off to look through the computers for anything useful. He'd probably get rewarded if he brought back good information.

... If nothing else maybe he can find a laptop or something to bring back to the science division to use.

Hope he brought a Porygon since most of the desktops seem to be password locked. And no, the password isn't Aqua. Or Archie. Or Kyogre. Or even water. One of them does seem to be working though, but all it's displaying is the local Team Aqua intranet. So there's Archie's blog and some random resources like Team Aqua's handbook, a list of Pokemon Grunts can carry, and stuff like that.

There's also a nonfunctioning laptop off to the side on a shelf should he want to turn that in later.

Damn it. He didn't, and so most of the information is inaccessible. He does commit what he can find to memory, and grabs the laptop.

If they don't want it he can probably feed it to a Steel type or something. He's just going to poke around the area a bit more to see if anyone's dropped anything of use. People sometimes don't think to look under the tables when they've lost things. Hiding under tables worked for him in the past!

Under the tables things are...kind of gross actually. There's a lot of used gum stuck to the bottom of some of them. Some loose change has made its way under there too. Lots of Rage Candy Bar wrappers. A ton of dust. And under one particular table...an Escape Rope?!

How did that even get there?

You know what, he'll take it. And do his best to avoid the gum. He... considers the change for a moment and then pockets it. It's not like he's rich here like he is at home. Travel supplies are expensive.

He'll just head on off to see if he can find some other team members. Watching them should be amusing, if nothing else.
