Who: Riku, Sora, Kairi, Ilya, Xion, Naminé, and her travel group if they'd like to jump in!
Where: Cherrygrove City
When: Present, or maybe a few days back, depending.
Summary: Upon Naminé's arrival, the Keyderp brigade promised to meet with Naminé. Now's their chance to catch up and enjoy the relaxed scenery.
Rating: Probably nothing higher than PG.
Log:
[With everyone all prepped up for their meeting, it really was just a matter of time before they made it into town. Psych's teleportation made reaching New Bark Town an easy task, leaving the rest of the trip just a matter of flight.
When the gang finally reaches their destination, the first thing Naminé and her companions may notice is a bright orange dragon descending from the sky, along with any other flyers the group brought along. Once they've dismounted, Riku's quick to look around, trying to pinpoint Naminé in order to give a proper greeting.
But while they're in town, nothing says they can't enjoy the sights. It's been ages since Riku's hit Cherrygrove, so he's more than happy to take a little break. Give everyone time to mingle and catch up.
Maybe even catch some waves.]
[ooc: This log is open to mingling, so multiple top levels are A-okay. Figured it'd be easier than one big thread.]

They've brought sausages, a couple of cast iron pans, some buns, pancake batter, and other assorted goodies, just in case the others want to save on eating expenses.]
Just let us know if you want anything, and we'll get you all set up.
[His Chesnaught and Greninja are even rolling in some rocks and logs for chairs, if anyone wants to gather around the fire.]

He's fighting back a shudder. It's just a cat. No need to get all tense.]
Let me guess. You're here for some grub.
[Well, here. Have a sausage. Hopefully she won't eat all the food...]

Kairi catches the begging kitty and shakes her head.]
Man, she's terrible around food.

[It's said with a sly smile and one hand on his hip. He's gotta use the other to flip pancakes, after all.]

And maybe what's also different is the intense grumbling in her stomach. Did anyone hear that? She hopes not. Even if they hadn't, her cheeks are still colored pink. ]
Ah... You've brought a lot. Do you mind...? I wouldn't mind some pancakes...

Riku, in the mean time, grabs some batter and starts pouring it into a pan.]
How many are you after? One, two? A dozen?
no subject
Just two, please.

But a little way away, Naminé's standing near the water. There's a lot of new experiences she's had already. It's not bad. She actually likes this newfound freedom. She just has to get used to it. ]

Then, with blinding speed, it lunges forward, mouth wide open.]
Typhon, don't you dare!
[Ilya's objection comes too late. Typhon's mouth has just closed around a large amount of Namine's poor hair.]

[ Naminé definitely wasn't expecting such a huge Pokémon to come at her like that. Instead of running, instead, she sort of... freezes up. Having a giant (compared to her at least) dragon-like Pokémon open its mouth so close to your head? It would probably rattle pretty much anyone.
She relaxes only when she realizes Typhon's mouth isn't about to get a tasty treat in the form of her head. Just her hair. But that can be washed, at least. After a moment, Naminé finally relaxes and peers up at Typhon. ]
Ah... i-it's okay. As long as it's... just my hair.
[ Hey, this is probably Typhon's way of greeting... Right? ]
no subject
I have told you time and time again! I don't care how pretty someone's hair is, you're not allowed to eat it!
[Typhon shrinks under her trainer's commanding fury, and releases Namine's hair, lowering her head sheepishly. Ilya glares at her for several moments before turning back to Namine.]
I'm sorry about her. Ever since she was a baby, she's seen lovely hair and she's simply had to go after it. She didn't harm you, did she?

shhh this isn't late
[ Sora knows from experience.
but he's coming close anyway. there is something very important that he is supposed to say to her. but right now Naminé seems a little nervous about Sora. he doesn't want to spook her or anything. so his approach is cautious. but hopeful! ]
neither is this pshhh
I... guess you're right. I'll do my best.

There was something I wanted to tell you, though.

Her attention gets caught by her Espurr, Hope, who seemed intent on climbing a tree. He isn't doing a very good job of it. At least Lightning thinks he's trying to climb. She can't tell what he wants most of the time anyways.]
We should get out of here soon, Hope.

[It was tough not to notice Lightning. Not only because of her age, but due to the way she'd kept a distance the whole time.
Riku doesn't want to push her, but at the same time, it's kinda sad how she seems so resigned to all this. So, he'll approach with a smile, hoping to at least lighten the mood a bit.]

[She looks down and shifts. It takes her a moment to look back at him.]
You better take care of her. Else you'll have to answer to me.
no subject
[It's so odd seeing her so aloof again. Feels like he's dealing with a completely different person, but maybe it's for the best if he stops making comparisons.]
We'll take care of her, just... I don't know. Not like we want you to feel out of place.

[Lightning is approached by a girl who looks nearly exactly like Namine, save for her short red hair.]
Want anything? We made a bunch of food.
no subject
Do I know you? And what I do is my business.
[You'll have to excuse her. She doesn't want to part with Naminé.]
Depends. What is it?

And you don't, but you know Naminé.
