Who: Riku, Sora, Kairi, Ilya, Xion, Naminé, and her travel group if they'd like to jump in!

When: Present, or maybe a few days back, depending.
Summary: Upon Naminé's arrival, the Keyderp brigade promised to meet with Naminé. Now's their chance to catch up and enjoy the relaxed scenery.
Rating: Probably nothing higher than PG.
Log:

[With everyone all prepped up for their meeting, it really was just a matter of time before they made it into town. Psych's teleportation made reaching New Bark Town an easy task, leaving the rest of the trip just a matter of flight.

When the gang finally reaches their destination, the first thing Naminé and her companions may notice is a bright orange dragon descending from the sky, along with any other flyers the group brought along. Once they've dismounted, Riku's quick to look around, trying to pinpoint Naminé in order to give a proper greeting.

But while they're in town, nothing says they can't enjoy the sights. It's been ages since Riku's hit Cherrygrove, so he's more than happy to take a little break. Give everyone time to mingle and catch up.

Maybe even catch some waves.]

[ Naminé smooths out her hair--other than a bit of dragon drool, her hair is fine. ]

It's okay... She didn't hurt me. Just... surprised me a bit. [ She looks up at Typhon and holds out her hand. It certainly was a different way to meet someone--or some Pokémon. ] It's nice to meet you, Typhon.

[Taking the offered hand as forgiveness, Typhon eagerly leans in to sniff it. After a couple sniffs, she realizes the girl smells almost exactly like that adorable little redhead that her Mistress keeps around, and she out and out flaps her wings in excitement.]

I'm glad you're so pleased, Typhon. But if you try that again you're going straight into your ball.

[The dragon cringes, looking remarkably like a scolded child for something so huge and fierce.]

At any rate, it's good to see you in person, Namine. [Ilya's expression softens into a gentle smile.] I promise, the rest of my Pokemon will be a lot more polite.

Except perhaps for Orpheus. Don't jump when he screams, it just encourages him.

[ So it's a little weird, being sniffed by a dragon, but at least Naminé doesn't feel completely threatened. Typhon's like an oversized dog, from what Naminé can tell--she's just so enthusiastic and excited that it makes Naminé feel a little warmer. ]

Mm... It's good to see you in person, too. A-and it's okay! Typhon is fine... just a little... overexcited. [ Though, Ilya's next words give her pause. ] ... When he screams? What type of Pokémon is he?

Orpheus is a ghost. A Dusknoir to be specific. Ghosts really like to play pranks, and his favorite is to jump out and scream at people randomly.

[In other words, he's basically a floating jumpscare machine.]

He's harmless, but he can be annoying.

Phoenix did mention ghosts when we were on our way here... [ Naminé keeps that in mind. Admittedly, she can be a bit skittish and easily surprised, but hey. New place, new her, right? Kind of. ] I'll... try not to react too much.

And I will do my best to keep him under control. [Ilya's not too concerned, but really with some of her monstrosities it's only fair to give a warning.]

The rest of them should be fine, though. Talos may spook you a bit the first time you hear it talk, but you'll get used to it.

You have quite a few Pokémon... What type is Talos? [ There are a lot of questions, but Naminé honestly can't help herself. Ilya was the first one to speak to her, aside from Lightning, and her surroundings are just so calm and wonderful that Naminé feels a lot more at ease than she has in a long time. ]

Fourteen, in all! But some people have much more. As for type, he's steel and psychic. You remember how I told you that psychic-types can speak to us with their minds?

[Given how much the idea had seemed to rattle Namine, she's pretty sure she'll recall.]

Steel and psychic... that sounds like an interesting combination. [ She pauses and nods slowly. How could she forget? ] Yes... I remember.

It's very powerful. Talos only has a few weaknesses and it resists a great deal. But about the mindspeach thing... it's definitely the one of mine who does this a lot. It will reach out to touch your mind almost right away, so it can be easy to get worried about it. But Talos means no harm. It simply enjoys conversation.

[And searching through people's minds for intent to harm its Mistress, but Ilya doubts that'll be a problem here.]

[ She gives another nod and tucks a lock of hair behind her ear. ] If it does... I'll try not to be too surprised.

That's all I can really ask. Don't worry. You'll get used to it.

The others should be easy to get along with. In fact...

[She tosses another ball out, and it pops open to free a Sylveon at Ilya's feet.]

I think you'll get along particularly well with my little Aphrodite.

Okay. I'll try. [ But Naminé can't hide her surprise too much when the Sylveon comes out. She even kneels down and holds her hand out. While people still give her a bit of a problem, Pokémon are different, and Naminé finds herself quite comfortable with them. ] Aphrodite... hello there.

[There is no hesitation like there might be with a regular animal. Aphrodite takes one look at Namine and bounds right over to her, moving right past her outstretched hand to leap into this new human girl's arms. Ilya laughs, but manages a bit of a scold.]

Careful! You don't want to knock the poor girl over!

Oh!

[ Naminé's working mostly off instinct here. She wraps her arms around Aphrodite. Holding another being, human or Pokémon, is still kind of new. She's getting used to it, at least. But it's a nice feeling, that someone feels safe and comfortable with her. ]

She's... rather friendly.

Just be glad Kairi's isn't out too. Between Felicity and Aphrodite you'd be on the ground with little chance of getting up anytime soon.

[Aphrodite is nuzzling Namine's face, sniffing her curiously. Her scent is so familiar to the eeveelution, but not quite the same as the one she knows.]

Scratch her ears. She loves that.

Kairi has one, too?

[ She can't help but feel a little jealous. That just means she'll have to get one of her own. At Ilya's suggestion, she scratches Aphrodite's ears very gently. ]

[Just as Ilya said, Aphrodite responds to the ear scratches with clear glee, cooing and rubbing her head into Namine's hand.]

Yes, a lot of people do actually. There was a bit of a horde of them milling around, doing their best to get themselves caught not too long ago. And their base form is very easy to come by. You wouldn't have any trouble finding an Eevee if you wanted one.

An Eevee... [ Naminé nods and gives Aphrodite some more ear scritches. She's soft, too, surprisingly, and Naminé feels herself at ease just with her presence. ] I'll keep an eye out.

You should! If Aphrodite's any clue, I think they'll take to you nicely.

[Point of fact, Ilya's very pleased at how quickly Aphrodite's warmed to Namine, in addition to Typhon. It bodes well for the rest of her team.]

You think so?

[ If Ilya thinks so, it's hard to resist the temptation. Now she's wondering what type of treat Aphrodite likes. Maybe later, when she has more money. For now, more pets and scratches. ]

Absolutely. You're the sort that those kind of Pokemon take to, kind, gentle and soft-spoken.

[And Eevee aren't the type to usually take advantage of that, but Ilya won't harp on that possibility.]

On the other hand, I wouldn't recommend a Hydreigon like my Hydra for you, or some of the other large and vicious types... Not until you get a bit more experience anyway.
