Summary: The second round of dreaming, during which participants ought to be having a dream that involves travel of some variety, or of needing to get to a faraway place. The content is up to you, just make sure it involves that in some way!

[It's day two of the dream plot, and this time participants have gone under for good; hopefully you weren't in an uncomfortable location, because you're going to be in a minor dream coma for the next two days, traveling along to...

"But... maybe you'll get lucky."

Naminé squeezes her hand back. Optimism... it's something she's learning. Naminé had never been too optimistic, because she knew things happened the way they would. It had been black and white like that. Here, though, where everything is so new and so different, Naminé's not sure what to expect anymore.

It's a nice change of pace.

[bylight]

"No. Not when I go back. There's no luck coming my way."

Lightning looks miserable right now. She doesn't want to go back to that moment. She had to. She knows she does. She needs to do this.

"In order for my friends, for everyone to be reborn, I have to sacrifice myself."

[shatterings]

Lightning's admission makes the breath catch in Naminé's chest. Sacrifice herself...? She had no idea-- that can't be.

And yet...

She knows Lightning means it. But there's a hurt in her chest that won't go away. That probably will never go away, because Lightning told her that and Lightning's so important it'll be hard to forget. Naminé's not seen a lot of miracles, and it's hard for her to say maybe there will be one.

It doesn't stop her from hoping.

Naminé doesn't say anything. Just pulls her friend into a hug and holds her tight, like she never wants to let go.

[bylight]

It takes a moment for Lightning to realize she was being hugged. She looks down at Naminé and finally returns the hug. This was probably a very shocking confession from her.

To be truthful, she didn't know what made her share this. Of course it would make her young friend miserable. It was something that needed to be said in the end.

Knowing Light, she would somehow make her own miracle.

[shatterings]

It's shocking, definitely. Naminé knows she doesn't like hearing Lightning sound so... so defeated. Not Lightning, who's so strong and steady. She knows, of course, that people have more than one side to them. It's just... she's having a difficult time when Light sounds so downtrodden.

"I wish I could help you."

[bylight]

She starts stroking the younger woman's hair. This was something tangible. Something she could hold onto for the time being while she was here. A small ray of hope that seemed to get brighter each day. Naminé could never replace Serah. But she could be a sister just like Serah.

"Just having faith in me helps."

[shatterings]

Naminé is glad she can do that much. Having faith in people was never too difficult. Having faith in herself is another story. It still seems unfathomable that other people believe in her... but it's not a bad thing at all.

"I'll always have faith in you, Lightning. And all of my friends."

[bylight]

That's so sweet of her... Lightning smiles at Naminé. Her friend had seen so much pain in her days, but to remain so hopeful and faithful was quite amazing to see. This reminds Light so much of her friends. All the promises they made. How they never gave up on one another. She's thankful that there are people like that in Johto.

"You're a good person. I'll always remind you of that."

[shatterings]

Naminé gets a little shy at that smile; she's beginning to realize Light's smiles are rare. That she's getting so many warms her heart.

"I'll, um... try to get used to it."

[bylight]

She nods at that answer. She then watches her younger friend before closing her eyes. The scenery changes to a wide open plain. They were on top of a small hill, which gave them a good view of the grassy steppe.

"This is just a small part of Gran Pulse."

[shatterings]

"Oh!"

It's beautiful. And it's so open--it's unlike anything Naminé has seen before. Which, honestly, isn't that difficult. So this is part of Lightning's home?

"Wow... it's amazing... It must be so big!"
