You know what's better than a regular birthday? The birthday of a circus.




Throughout the streets of Goldenrod, folks will find all sorts of colorful characters and Pokemon about. Fliers and the like have been regular eve since the Circus started up a year ago, but the advertising is in full force today just to make it EXTRA apparent that today is the day. Another hint is all the air traffic in the skies- various Flying-type Pokemon that make up the Circus' transportation service. Who knows? Maybe you're one of those using it today!

And of course, who can miss the colorful spectacle that is the circus itself? Past the entrance gate (which will let you onto the circus grounds for a miniscule fee) are dozens and dozens of stalls and little tents. Looming over them is the main tent itself, a monstrosity of bright welcoming colors. There are all sorts of things amongst their ranks, but it's generally fairly easy to find what you're looking for as Pidgey of a feather flock together and all that... From games of all sorts like the usual carnival games to more of a retro arcade, to a set of shops with local crafts and maybe something from the foreign trainers.... Of course, there's also all sorts of food stalls and even shacks for more filling stuff.

There's even a Litleo hunt going on today! Catch one, win a prize!

With all that alone, you could probably keep busy for most of the day! But surely you aren't forgetting the Big Act?

Yep, the big acts in the Big Top. Times are posted both at the front gate, on fliers you can pick up here and there, and by the entrance to the large tent. For each day, there will be three shows! Better hope you can snag a ticket before they get sold out... Although maybe you'll get lucky for the next show. Or the next day....

Either way, it promises to be a fun weekend!

Alright! Do you think we should try the hotdog or the funnel cake first? Oh, maybe one of those deep-fried candy bars.

If you'd seen how they make some of those things, I doubt you'd be so excited.

[Ilya shudders, but she still follows along.]

Let's grab some stuff and find a quiet place to relax.

The best quiet place around here is the employee area where you found me. Anyplace else there's pretty much guaranteed to be a noisy crowd.

Next time you perform, somebody should spring for your own dressing room. [She smirks. That is, until she sees the lines for food.]

And a catering service.

We're a circus, Kairi, not a theater.

[Though she does kind of appreciate the thought.]

Well you're still their best clown, so they should give you that honor. [Giggle.]

[Ilya rolls her eyes and flicks Kairi's nose.]

Don't make me pelt you with water balloons.

I'd rather get a pie, if you have any.

Save us some time waiting in line.

Eh, I'm not fond of banana cream anyway.

What kind, then? Is there some kind of "royalberry" I should look out for?

[It grows on golden trees.]

Don't be ridiculous. A good pecan would do fine. Or apple. Maybe lemon meringue...

I still think cake is better.

[dressofheaven]

We're not having that debate.

[paopuprincess]

Good.

Because I'd win.

And so would cake.

[Ilya's voice goes sing-song.]

You're starting to annoy me, Kairi...

[She giggles.]

I'll get you some ice cream then. That should cool you off.

You have a completely one-track mind right now, don't you? Has no one given you anything sugary in days or something?

It's been two days. I'm going to collapse.

Oh, you poor thing. Don't worry, the line's only...

[She checks again.]

Ten more people long.

[paopuprincess]

[She slumps against Ilya's side.]

I'm not gonna make it.

Oh well, I'll give your Pokemon to Namine and Xion then.

[paopuprincess]

[Huff.] You wouldn't even take care of them yourself? I thought you liked me more than that.

And deprive your dear sisters of their mementos of you? Perish the thought!
