Oh. That's how it usually goes, actually, but things have been pretty weird lately.

...Like, weirder than normal. I mean, I guess it's not bad here, but it's weird. Unknown kidnapping forces, cats that shoot lightning, floating pink flower pigs—y'know. [She counts each oddity on her finger as she goes, sounding entirely too casual.]

What is all this, then? If no one is taking credit, there are either way too many freak wormholes about or someone wants to cover their tracks - especially since whatever it is is grabbing people from different times or timelines.

No one's got it figured out, as far as I've heard. Not even the people who lived here originally. People just show up and everyone just kinda deals with it. And we've got, like, aliens? And people who could do stuff like breathe fire before they got here. [She pulls a face.] It's weird.
