Summary: It's Rise's birthday. And with the Fourth Wall wackiness, she forgot to tell anyone. So here's a depressed Rise who now feels too awkward telling anyone.

Locked Prompt for Crocker

[Rise had found a bakery in the quieter part of Goldenrod. She was sitting at a table in the corner, surrounded by her Pokémon. Her Sylveon, Himiko, and her Umbreon, Chiisai, sat on either side of her, and a newly evolved Glaceon, Jin, laid beside Chiisai. Her ever present Meowstic, Nanako, was trying to cheer up her trainer by floating a burning candle and making it move in complicated patterns.

There was a very small smile on her face, though she still looked sad.]

[Rise's out and about town now, her usual smile very brittle. She'll nod to people she knows, but keeps walking, her Pokémon always at her side. If anyone pay attention, she's wearing a pair of black glasses, with small bands of color on the frames, a red Alice band, and a set of headphones around her neck. There's also a blue hat attached to a studded belt, buttons on the hat, and a random red rose attached to the band in her hair, and last, a black tie with barrettes attached. (Of course she's wearing clothes to match this look) These are not the usual things she wears, but items from her friends. She had wished for keepsakes from home, and they had been on her bed that morning.

At least something was going right today. Her thoughts are all over the place, so it'll be hard to get her attention.]

[Rise looked down as she had something bump into her. She blinks and pats Flonette on the head.]

[Flonette looks up at Rise and gives a cheerful greeting. Oh, she remembers her! Kinda of? From that weird castle...]

Yep, that's me. [He stops in front of her, giving her a smile.] Are you out on a walk as well?

[Her three Eeveelutions walk right up to Flonette for a greeting. Hello little friend!]

It's been a while! [She hesitates before nodding.] You could cay that.

[Flonette looks up at the three Eeveelutions in curiosity. Oooh, hello back to you!]

It has been! [He removes his hands from his pockets, now that they're chatting. Though, he couldn't help but notice the various accessories she's wearing.] Have you been doing alright? It feels like things have been busy for a while.

[Himiko pets Flonette with her feelers. I got bigger!]

I've been fine. A little overworked, maybe. [Her smile is a lot more natural now.] Have you been working on any new apps lately?

[Hi! And yes, you got bigger! Flonette reaches out and touches Himiko's feelers.]

I am! Although...I'm a little busy doing tech support and retail. So sometimes, I'm too tired to finish anything in my free time.

[Himiko chirps at FLonette. Chiisai comes over and sniffs Flonette. You smell like electricity...]

So we're both pretty busy. No wonder I haven't seen you around!

[Flonette nods cheerfully and raise a paw. Yep! I'm electric and fairy type!]

Uh huh, right! I'm thinking of getting more free time for myself between working full time. [The joys of being an adult and working adult hours.] Especially since it's now summer!

[Jin, her Glaceon, comes up next and just nuzzles Flonette. You're adorable!]

Oh yeah, that reminds me, I'm going to be traveling again! I'm thinking Kanto since there's a lot of waterfront places there. Best way to enjoy summer is at a beach!

[Ahh, thanks! Flonette pats Jin on their cheeks. And you're cool!]

Kanto! There's a lot of cool places there, like the water park in Cerulean! Cerulean's an inland city, but the water park's fun. And Fuchsia's by the sea, so you can go there and see the filming sights as well.

[..... Well yes, I'm an ice type Pokémon.]

Yeah! I say Kanto is a little more industrialised and modern? Which isn't a bad thing by themselves.

So Johto is more old timey? That's really weird to think about. Then again, a lot of places are like that.

I'd say so? Johto seems to be a little more in touch with their traditional side.

[Nanako seems less than impressed by Flonette. Yet she comes over at pats her on the head as well. Cats can get along with mice if they have to.]

Violet and Cherrygrove reminded me of Inaba. It was really nice. Except they don't have a giant department store there.

[Flonette seems a bit nervous when she saw Nanako approaching, but she ends up melting into the pats. Aw yis.]

Inaba, huh? I don't think I ever went there before. [Too much of a city boy to leave Tokyo.] And yeah, only Goldenrod and Celadon have the big department stores. Which is probably why a lot of people love to come here and stay!

[Nanako lifts her feet and shows off her socks. Her trainer bought those for her at the circus. Aren't they neat?]

It's way out in the country. But I miss it. [She nods and tilts her head.] I think once I have the Violet City badge, I'll go to Saffron then and challenge the gym there. I don't have Fly, but I can get it there, right?

[Flonette looks closer at them, reaching out to touch her socks. They are neat! Are they comfy?]

Fly, huh? [Think, think.] Yeah, they do! I didn't get mine from there, but I know others who recommend going there to grab it early.

[Nanako lets her touch them. Yes! We got the at the Carnival from a trainer named Chihiro. His Pokémon made them.]

I think my Pokémon are strong enough to defeat the gym there. So I'm confident I'll get it~

[Oooh, Chihiro! She knows him and her trainer does, too.]

Ooh, you're going to challenge Whitney? Good luck with her! Did anyone tells you what happens after you win against her?

[She claps her little paws together. My trainer said she'd get me more socks! Maybe your can, too!]

Actually, I beat her a while ago. I'm going after Falkner next! I know I got Rock Smash from Whitney, but now I just need a Strength HM. I'll get it at my own pace~

[Flonette raise her paws. Ooh, yay! I can ask him for some!]

Whoa, really? Congrats! Since you beat Whitney, Falkner should be a piece of cake for you! Unless you want to make things challenging.
