Well, draw some intersecting lines and call me a Triforce, this sure is an island, all right.

KEY:

• The GLOWING X at the upper portion of the island is where you will find Mewssingno! It won't be moving around much, so it will always be in the relative top section of the island, furthest from the safe haven for participants in the south. Exercise caution getting close to it, because...

• The PURPLE area surrounding Mewssingno is all area that will be affected by glitches! Inside that area, strange environmental things are likely to occur, such as attacks being deflected, neutralized, or outright disappearing and reappearing somewhere else, as if passing through a very small wormhole in space! You may play around with these effects as much as you like, but they should be contained to this particular area, and remember to ask permission from other players before randomly diverting a Hyper Beam through a wormhole directly at them in tags.

• STANDARD GRASSY areas in the lower part of the map are places in which characters are guaranteed to be safe from Mewssingno's glitches; however, these areas will be overrun by Fusion Abominations, so if you're just here for the garden-variety fighting of SquirtWeedMagneZards, this is probably where you'll be spending a lot of your time!

• The BLUE STAR in the south indicates a guaranteed safe zone from both Mewssingno and the Fusion Abominations. This is the station where a ferry to the island would dock, so you can find places to sit and a general atmosphere of relative quiet in here, making it a good place to store your wounded or to hide out. Characters may notice ICly that the Fusion Abominations and Mewssingno are avoiding this zone, or at least leaving it alone!

Yeah, it's me, sorry I look--well, freaky. [It's not exactly something she can control, even if she still deigned to stubbornly put on clothes over the mess of furry regrets. Less impressive than the initial display of power, yes, but Maka's going on as though this is a completely casual and every day thing for her.] It was...Mr. Brando, right?

[Formality is weird extended to someone not-an-adult, but by all accounts it seems like Dio's from a different time, and hey--he was polite to her first.

Eowyn rolls back over to her side and the squirrel subsequently perches on the hedgedillo's head once she reemerges.]

I'm not exactly eager for anyone to see me like this either, but it is what it is. [Reflexively, she tries to curl her paw into a fist for punching as Dio had been doing, but the odd three large claws set up isn't helpful to that. Maka didn't...actually intend to punch any Pokemon, but it is starting to get tempting with the sheer volume of them.] Are you trying to get somewhere through the mob or just doing this for fun?

Right.

[He would try and stand dramatically, but even he, Dio, isn't entirely sure how to pull this off and not look completely ridiculous.]

And I haven't decided just quite what I'm doing yet. I found myself here, that thing attacked me and my Pokemon were hardly capable of fighting it off directly.

[Yup. That's his story. He was just punching that thing's face in to help his Pokemon.]

However, I'm not entirely sure if fighting through the entire mob is possible. The things seem rather...endless.

[That's the nicest way to say there are too many of these wretched things, get them away from him, Dio.]

'Course they're endless, endlessly swarming and endlessly aggressive.

[Hasn't he ever heard of hoard rushes--oh wait.]

There's a safe spot back by the docks, I can clear a path for you guys so you can fall back and take a break.

[How the hell she's going to accomplish that is probably through other gigantic monsters she inexplicably has command over.]

[There's an amused laugh from somewhere inside the mess of blue fur obscuring his face. Because really, he's fine. He'll be fine. He's Dio. He could've dealt with that thing on his own, it's just that this way was quicker.]

Regardless of whether thinning their numbers is possible, it would certainly make for a poor showing if I, Dio, were to retreat, wouldn't it?

[He has his...pretty much nonexistent reputation in this world to think of, okay.]

[It's hardly visible under all the damn fur, but Maka raises her eyebrows and...shrugs at him.

[He can do that if he wants, though she doesn't see how it's a big deal.]

A poor showing of what, I don't know, it's not like they're going to kill you for taking a break.

Of course they won't. As I understand it, that's rather impossible, isn't it?

[And even if it wasn't, it's not like he, Dio, could ever really be in mortal peril, right?]

But still, I'd rather not be known as the person who spent the day taking a break, rather than someone who helped drive these things back.

[Don't get him wrong though. Not because of heroics or good intentions or anything like that. But simply because he views that if everybody else is doing something, than he, Dio, should take part as well to look like he did...something.

Plus, he's still pissed off about getting attacked in the first place, so having the chance to take out his anger on something is great.]

It's more like "you get sent back to the last Pokemon Center you were in" if something manages to injure you that much, anyway, it's not really dying.

[Something in her memories of the first time being here tells her that, and that it's a very unpleasant experience.]

[...Also how do you even explain "it's a video game mechanic" to a kid that's clearly from a time before all that.]

All right, if that's how you want it, I'm not gonna stop you. Call if you need assistance again. [Because her Emolga is itching to get back to the fighting and Maka has to make sure she doesn't destroy the entire field, yeesh.]
