Little'a this, little'a that. I'm currently taking advantage of my newfound good standing with the law to try out this whole "gainful civilian employment" thing. I think it might just be working out for me.

[He hears his name just in time to turn around and catch Molly in his arms. For a moment, he is terribly disoriented. Who is this person? Why do they know his name?

But hold up, it's obvious who this little girl is. It felt like months to him but clearly time doesn't work the same way here as it does back home. Rin holds her and wastes no time making a mess of her hair.]

[IS THIS SOME NEW WAY TO GREET PEOPLE IN JOHTO?! Good thing Rin is sturdier on his feet as a half demon. Human Rin would have been tackled to the ground. As he is now, Rin manages to hold himself steady and return the hug with as much enthusiasm.]

AL!! DUDE! You didn't grow all that much!! [HE MEANS THIS IN THE NICEST WAY POSSIBLE. AND HE MIGHT BE PATTING AL'S HAIR JUST TO EMPHASIZE HIS SMALLNESS.]

This hug comes without warning. One moment Rin is on his feet, the next he's taken one step to balance himself against the extra weight. He peers down, expecting someone small (maybe Molly again) but his breath catches for a moment as he recognizes the person.

... He doesn't really know what to say. He doesn't know yet that he's not going to be here for long. Instead he pulls Chihiro into a tighter hold, one hand softly treading through her hair.]

[Frisk beams and jumps with excitement before reaching to pet Bec, starting with some scratches behind his ears. They are very good at pets--no ear-pulling or pushing too hard at all! They've had practice.]

[For a moment Chihiro just stands there, holding Rin tight with his face buried into his shoulder. When he does speak it's a bit muffled, but it sounds genuinely happy. Just a bit thick with emotion, perhaps, but through his sleeve it's a bit hard to really tell.]

"Pokemon...Center." Got it, zura!

[When they do get to the house, Komasan slides off the Arcanine surprisingly fast, apparently not that worried about the drop. The moment his feet touch the ground, he reaches for his head and pulls...at nothing, but causes the same POOF effect he did earlier. Standing in his place is the normal Komasan once again, leaf in his paw. Even if they're not in the house, he still feels safe enough to take off his disguise. Who would ever look at a random residence?]

Ah! Before I forget, there's something I want to give you, zura.

[She leans down to look at it, the Vanillite lowering to stick silently by her head (because of course she'd end up with a Pokemon that doesn't talk), regarding it with a terrifyingly even gaze for a few moments before smiling, standing up again, and looking over at her own Pokemon.

A small silent sigh. These things are weird, dad/boss.]

[That did indeed sound like the call of an incoming little sister. Good thing Yang is well-prepared to handle wild Ruby Rose attacks. She moves with the impact, swinging Ruby about a little as she wraps her own arms around her in a hug.]

'Course I would be. ...Wherever here is.

[She is still unclear on this, even though this whole thing seems really familiar.

There is also one incredibly perturbed Torchic squeaking up a protest from her shoulder because excuse you both he was napping.]

[He says the word over a few times, getting a feel for it. It's not a word he knows and he's not data anymore so he can't just search that. That's a weird feeling and he doesn't like it.]

It's a good thing Neo hasn't seen her yet because apparently the sight of her has Yang frozen to the spot. And she's just gonna glaaaaaaare.

Because apparently she can't just go over there and start throwing shotgun punches around if she's understanding the laws of this world correctly and right now she's weighing whether it's worth getting trouble with the law or not. ...It is steadily starting to slide towards "Worth it" though.]

[Komasan can't help but turn bright red the moment he's called "Komasan-chan" again. He catches it, of course, there's no way he can't feel that, and immediately tries to play it off. A few well placed coughs there and there's no way anyone could've seen that.]

[He holds out his paw towards Chihiro, in his palm lies a small metal coin with what looks like a stylized picture of himself displayed on it. How it got there is anyone's guess, it didn't really look like he pulled it out of anything...]

[So excited! Komasan can't believe how kind this stranger is being right now, just giving him a free chicken like that. Clearly this man must have a lot of friends.]

[If any nod could be exasperated, this one would be. The Vanillite, not missing a beat (or perhaps in fact missing several) tries to sort of. Nuzzle against Neo's face. Which is nice when, say, a fuzzy pokemon does it, but when one made of ice does it? Less so. Neo starts a little, then frowns intently at the ice cream cone. Rude.

Neo gives a very "what are you gonna do" shrug, then rubs her face a little to try to warm it back up. And this dumb thing only comes in one of her flavors, too :(.]
