Come on, Carolina, have fun, Carolina
Who: Agent Carolina
secondplacing and you!
Where: Goldenrod City
When: Anytime during the month of February
Summary: Basically a catch-all log for Feb. Respond to one of the open prompts or ask me to tailor-make your own starter. Or, go ahead and start a thread with Carolina here!
Rating: PG
Log:
A.
[Carolina spends most of her nights working at the Goldenrod Pokémart-- so if you happen to come around then, Carolina might be your clerk. Or she might be doing the heavy lifting and re-stocking. Since most of her pokémon have become too large to follow her around on the job, though, so instead she keeps FILSS around as a personal assistant.]
AGENT C. FIVE HOURS ON THE CLOCK REMAINING. WOULD YOU LIKE TO SET AN ALARM?
No, FILSS. Thanks, though. Resume count for me, please.
[Carolina continues stocking shelves. It's kind of boring, but with all the training they get in during the day, Carolina doesn't mind too much.]
UNDERSTOOD.
[By the way... it doesn't look like the sound is coming from any pokémon. Instead, FILSS is using the speaker in the Pokégear and a pre-recorded voice set to speak to Carolina.
It's kind of like having an AI again, and Carolina's never been more appreciative.]
---------------
B.
[During the daytime (but rather toward the afternoon), Carolina can be found either near the outskirts of Goldenrod training her pokémon, or just walking around the city.
Once again, feel free to write up your own or ask me for a toplevel!]

It's fine. I've never run into one, but from what I've seen on the comm, they like to hijack gears.
[She looks at her Froslass, who seems to have snuck a few things into the basket while Lightning wasn't looking.]
Makes me wish Nyx here could talk. She might actually ask for permission to grab herself snacks.
[If this Pokémon could blush...]
no subject
[Carolina gives a half smile, looking Nyx over.]
Careful what you wish for, though. Some of these guys end up talking a bit too much.
SIMILAR TO AGENT YORK!
That's right, FILSS.
no subject
[Nyx looks offended. A lady would never talk too much!]
Yes, I know that from my psychic types. I have a pair of Meowstics, siblings, that won't stop chattering with each other. Telekinetically and vocally.
[It's hard to tell if these two were happy or mad with each other.]
no subject
[The pokégear lets out a few beeps. It would seem that's how FILSS has decided to communicate laughter.
Carolina extends a hand as if for Lightning to shake.]
Agent Carolina. Not from around here either, I take it?
no subject
[Says the person who has wiped out chunks of cities on her own.
Always one to be courteous, Lightning returns the handshake.]
Lightning Farron. Former Sergeant in the Bodhum Security Force. [Why the hell not give a rank.] And no. This place is a vacation compared to where I'm from.
no subject
Well met, Sergeant. I could say the same of my own experience.
no subject
You get lucky enough to get some of your fellow soldiers to show up here?
no subject
From my own team, even.
[A bit vague, but...]
Has it been the same for you?
no subject
[Let's rephrase that.]
I had a falling out with my fellow soldiers. I do have one of my companions here with me.
no subject
[Carolina nods in understanding.]
Don't worry, I know the feeling.
I have a new team back home as well.
no subject
[As in that whole 'fate' thing people keep talking about.
Though one of them did wind up as a sort of punching bag for Lightning. Snow can attest to that if he were ever here.]
no subject
Thrown's a good word for it.
Actually, I made a mistake. They were there to keep me from falling too far into it, and now I clean up theirs.
no subject
[There's waaaay more to that story, but a summary suffices. For now.]
They kept me from getting myself killed.
no subject
Well, I haven't heard that one before. But I've heard stranger.
[She lets out a little laugh.]
Good to see someone with military experience, even if I'm sure they're much different militaries.
no subject
[Agreed on that one.]
Meeting someone in the military that knows what a gun is and knows how to use it is pretty rare.
no subject
No kidding. Not to mention they're mostly bringing in kids.
no subject
Someone said this place was like a video game for kids at one time. It'd make sense until you count in the fact that these are overpowered monsters. Unless kids like those kinds of thing.
no subject
The game as far as I know it is ancient, it's been around since everyone still lived on Earth. These guys are about the power level I'd expected, but that doesn't make it a good thing.
no subject
I see... Then somehow this world came from that game. It's not impossible, seeing as there's so many different worlds... Seems like it was bound to happen.
[That still doesn't answer the one thing everyone asks:]
But why does it need us to be here?
no subject
[Like how her friend got chosen by an alien sword. You know, that kind of thing.]
So far, my only guess is... It doesn't. It just happens.
no subject
There is something that keeps happening that's pretty life-changing for some of the newer residents here.
[It's actually something she has been looking forward to happening again.]
This world has given the people here few weekends a year to go back to their original selves. Some of the residents here were never human to begin with. Some of us regain powers and abilities the world robbed us of... and there are visitors. People who've been here before, people who are new but don't stay past the weekend. I don't know when the next time that will happen is.
