Come on, Carolina, have fun, Carolina
Who: Agent Carolina
secondplacing and you!
Where: Goldenrod City
When: Anytime during the month of February
Summary: Basically a catch-all log for Feb. Respond to one of the open prompts or ask me to tailor-make your own starter. Or, go ahead and start a thread with Carolina here!
Rating: PG
Log:
A.
[Carolina spends most of her nights working at the Goldenrod Pokémart-- so if you happen to come around then, Carolina might be your clerk. Or she might be doing the heavy lifting and re-stocking. Since most of her pokémon have become too large to follow her around on the job, though, so instead she keeps FILSS around as a personal assistant.]
AGENT C. FIVE HOURS ON THE CLOCK REMAINING. WOULD YOU LIKE TO SET AN ALARM?
No, FILSS. Thanks, though. Resume count for me, please.
[Carolina continues stocking shelves. It's kind of boring, but with all the training they get in during the day, Carolina doesn't mind too much.]
UNDERSTOOD.
[By the way... it doesn't look like the sound is coming from any pokémon. Instead, FILSS is using the speaker in the Pokégear and a pre-recorded voice set to speak to Carolina.
It's kind of like having an AI again, and Carolina's never been more appreciative.]
---------------
B.
[During the daytime (but rather toward the afternoon), Carolina can be found either near the outskirts of Goldenrod training her pokémon, or just walking around the city.
Once again, feel free to write up your own or ask me for a toplevel!]

Eventually he makes his way to her, casually tapping her shoulder and offering her one of his many...arms? They're arms, he's going with arms. Either way, he offers her one to take when he finds the time to sneak in and be obnoxious, hoping her Pokemon are too tired from training to do anything to retaliate. N-Not that there's a reason to, it's just a friendly handshake. No one's trying to steal any souls or anything.
He remains completely emotionless throughout all of this, that is until a voice calls out from a distance.]
Murasaki! You need to come back, we didn't finish yet, zura!
[The once stoic balloon flinches as his trainer's voice echoes down the way. Gosh, why can't you just leave him alone dad GOD.]
no subject
That's followed by a voice calling out-- and Carolina has to squint even harder.]
What the hell is going on here?
no subject
It totally kills him.]
N-No, please don't hurt him, zura!
[Seriously, when he finally gets there, he's totally out of breath.]
He just...he just likes to...to play...z-zura...
[Komasan bends over as he tries to regain his everything, hands on his knees. HE IS A POWERFUL YOUKAI.]
no subject
...But the sight of Komasan practically dying, Carolina can't help but feel sorry for the little guy-- though she keeps an eye on this dumbass balloon.]
You... alright, kid?
[The arcanine with her steps forward to sniff at Komasan's face.]
no subject
Still out of breath, he shakily grabs Murasaki's pokeball and recalls his dumbass balloon. Not that his other Pokemon are any less stupid, floating next to him is his Vanillish, who pats his back like a worried parent with the world's stubbiest arms.]
I'm an adult, z-zura...
[Komasan, no, that's not what's important right now.]
no subject
...Right.
[Carolina would comment that Komasan is a small ass adult, but you know, you never know. She's not gonna be that person. Today.]
Everything alright, sir?
B
[Usually, things go pretty smoothly. Today, though...]
Wrecks, stop!
[A Tyrantrum rushes away from his trainer, into a tree and huffing.]
I just said you need a -
[Maybe he shouldn't say 'bath' again. Instead he releases an Ursaring, who does her best to keep the Tyrantrum from rushing again. Finally the thing calms down, and Tobias sighs, pulling him back to his Pokeball and hoping no one else saw that.]
no subject
Carolina's training with her porygon, tyrantrum, and pangoro when Tobias's tyrantrum charges the nearby tree, and all three of them hurry over to check what's happening.]
Is there a problem over here?
[She doesn't mean to sound judgemental or.... well, like a cop, or anything-- but that's just how she talks. Really, she's just concerned.]
no subject
Sorry. He uh... doesn't like baths. I get the problem with the type weaknesses, but he still needs a wash. I didn't mean to disturb you from your training or something...
no subject
[Authoritative though she may still seem, arms crossed and all, she looks back at her own Tyrantrum, raising a brow.]
Trust me, I know the hassle. You managed to calm him down pretty quick, though.
no subject
[Rachel wanders over and puts a big paw on his shoulder. It's okay, small human friend.]
Have you been training yours long? You've had him long enough to evolve him, I guess, but...
no subject
[She gives Sheila a smile, watching as the beast lowers its head to receive a pat on the nose.]
Dinosaurs are related to birds, did you know that? At least, back on my earth, they were. Not too sure about these guys, honestly.
no subject
[Oh man someone else to nerd out with.]
Yeah, I know! I used to read a lot about dinosaurs... I saw some, too, actually.
no subject
Saw some? That's a new one.
How'd you manage that, exactly?

The voice catches Light's attention as she looks around.]
What the hell-?
[Is that a trainer talking to a Gear?.... Lightning is more than curious. There's only one Pokémon line she knows that live inside Gears.]
A Porygon?
no subject
[Carolina turns immediately. A few months of retail have really drilled customer service into her, but she still carries her gait with all the mannerisms of a soldier-- back straight and steps heavy and firm.]
My apologies, m'am.
[But though she speaks with such militaristic language, her tone of voice is much more relaxed-- almost cocky.]
FILSS likes to work with me.
MY APOLOGIES, MISS!
[Carolina can't help but chuckle. FILSS also likes talking.]
no subject
It's fine. I've never run into one, but from what I've seen on the comm, they like to hijack gears.
[She looks at her Froslass, who seems to have snuck a few things into the basket while Lightning wasn't looking.]
Makes me wish Nyx here could talk. She might actually ask for permission to grab herself snacks.
[If this Pokémon could blush...]
no subject
[Carolina gives a half smile, looking Nyx over.]
Careful what you wish for, though. Some of these guys end up talking a bit too much.
SIMILAR TO AGENT YORK!
That's right, FILSS.
no subject
[Nyx looks offended. A lady would never talk too much!]
Yes, I know that from my psychic types. I have a pair of Meowstics, siblings, that won't stop chattering with each other. Telekinetically and vocally.
[It's hard to tell if these two were happy or mad with each other.]
no subject
[The pokégear lets out a few beeps. It would seem that's how FILSS has decided to communicate laughter.
Carolina extends a hand as if for Lightning to shake.]
Agent Carolina. Not from around here either, I take it?
no subject
[Says the person who has wiped out chunks of cities on her own.
Always one to be courteous, Lightning returns the handshake.]
Lightning Farron. Former Sergeant in the Bodhum Security Force. [Why the hell not give a rank.] And no. This place is a vacation compared to where I'm from.
no subject
Well met, Sergeant. I could say the same of my own experience.
no subject
You get lucky enough to get some of your fellow soldiers to show up here?
