Sometime in april
Hey - Carolina! It's me!

Give me a minute!
[Before she hurries to the front. She knows that voice, after all, and she's not gonna keep this idiot waiting. She approaches with a smile, mopping up sweat from the day's training with a rag.]
Well, well, well. Look who showed up.
no subject
Certainly not because I got any help from you.
Looks like you settled in fine with all this.

[She strides right up to him, knocking him in the shoulder with her fist.]
Get attached to your pokémon, wake up with a few mutant caterpillars in your sleeping bag.
York (and Wash), Freelancer House or Around Goldenrod
Needless to say, York finds all these antics hilarious and endearing and wants to share them with the world. Indulge him at your own risk.]
North - open, Freelancer House or Around Goldenrod
Tobias [Around April 15th or so]

Coming! Treble, get down from there- QT, stay away from those cords-
[The door opens to North wiping his hands off on his apron, and he gives Tobias a warm and welcoming smile.]
Hey, Tobias. Come on in, make yourself at home.
[the ceilings are high enough for their menagerie of bears to be out and about comfortably, given the way that North's Beartic is sprawled in front of the couch like a snoring bearskin rug.]
no subject
Thanks. It's been a while since I've been over to someone else's place...
[He looks up at the Beartic and smiles slightly. Maybe he should have brought Nanook. Ah, well. He pulls two Pokeballs out and releases Rachel and Regal.]
You two be good, all right? We're guests.
[Rachel just rolls her eyes and goes to flop near the Beartic, and Regal chirps his agreement before wandering over to North and giving him a gentle, friendly headbutt. Hello!]
How's it been over here? Quiet?
no subject
You're always welcome to come by whenever you need a change of pace.
[North's Pidgeot, Mission, gives a delighted coo and waddles over to introduce herself to Regal when the Braviary headbutts her trainer. North chuckles and scratches Regal gently underneath the feathers.]
Hey there, big guy. Missy, play nice.
[Indignant "pi-pijiii!"
Addie lifts his head and snuffles in Rachel's direction before rolling over onto his back with a groan to make room for her to flop next to him.]
As quiet as it can be, around here. How about you? Doing okay?
no subject
I've been okay. Practicing some more for the circus. It's hard to keep thinking of new flight patterns sometimes... I feel like I've run through all of them. Other than that... I haven't been doing a whole lot. Mostly checking in on people. My roommate's been gone for a bit so I've had the apartment to myself.
[He's not sure if he likes the silence anymore. Quiet's one thing, but the absence of anyone else human makes everything seem a little too loud late at night.]
And training, of course. Nanook's running around and grabbing everything - he's the Cubchoo I hatched. I named him after a polar bear I met once.
no subject
Are you alright with that? Having the apartment to yourself. If you ever need to talk to somebody, I know all three of us are usually up nights.
[He's worried but trying not to be smotheringly so. He's had another human presence with him literally since before he was born, so he can only imagine how bad it must be to go to sleep with no one there.]
Nanook is a good name for a polar bear. It's funny how much they act like real babies sometimes.

I'm all right. A lot of the time I end up curled up next to Regal on the floor. I've gotten used to beds, but... some blankets and a pillow are all I really need. For a while after I first got here I kept sleeping outside of town in my tent, even after I got to the towns. Mimi had to convince me to be with a travel group and not keep avoiding inns.
[He glances over at Regal and smiles slightly.]
Yeah. Some of them never quite grow out of it. Braviary are supposed to be fierce and all but he's kind of a giant dork. ... I guess that's fitting, though.
no subject
It sounds like your pokemon have your back. It had been a long time since I had slept in a proper bed and not a standard-sized bunk made for men six inches shorter than I was.
[he very tol.]
I know what you mean there. A lot of mine still have the same personality they hatched with. With the little ones it's one thing, but when you've got a pokemon the size of Addie who still thinks he's a lap bear...

[And it's not like he didn't specifically ask Riku to find him the most ill-mannered Hawlucha of the bunch...]
Rachel kept trying to flop on me for a while. Then she figured out that wasn't working, so she started picking me up.
[On the bed thing, though...]
When I first got stuck as a hawk, Jake would put some meat in the attic and pull out a drawer with blankets for me to sleep in. After a while I started sleeping in a tree and hunting my own stuff, so sleeping as a human took a while to get used to. The first few nights were super weird.
Epsilon, Freelancer House and around Goldenrod
When not in the house, of course he would be out and about the city. It's huge! It's got people! It's not some canyon in the middle of nowhere or a random location in space. Still being followed by Gigi, Epsilon will be doing whatever it is 'normal' people would be doing.
Company is not minded even if he complains that it might be.]
hello brad (brotherdad) in-law
Or when they make a goddamn delicious (and conveniently kosher) grilled cheese sandwich and are always seemingly making them by the stack for his pokemon and whoever else is in the house.]
hello giant boyfriend who cooks
Seeing the cook makes Epsilon stop in his tracks. Whoa. Huge. Tall. Blond. Looks like he could break someone in half?
vaguely familiar...Grizzly bear or teddy bear?]
Fuck. I mean good morning. [Is it morning?]
no subject
You know, that's a new one. I've always heard 'Polar bear,' myself.
[He gets down another plate separate from the one he'd been piling sandwiches on so far. The Togetic currently munching on one of the sandwiches startles and flutters to watch Epsilon shyly from behind North (something familiar about that, too, probably).]
I know grilled cheese isn't usually a before-lunch food, but the pokemon love them.
no subject
Polar bear? [That's gotta be an inside joke. The guy's not that white.]
Wait, you can feed these things human food? [Small glare at the cat beside him as her trainer grabs a few of the sandwiches. Gigi 'conveniently' does not notice this look. Sorry, Epsilon, she just does not care much for cheese.]
