I've been okay. Practicing some more for the circus. It's hard to keep thinking of new flight patterns sometimes... I feel like I've run through all of them. Other than that... I haven't been doing a whole lot. Mostly checking in on people. My roommate's been gone for a bit so I've had the apartment to myself.
[He's not sure if he likes the silence anymore. Quiet's one thing, but the absence of anyone else human makes everything seem a little too loud late at night.]
And training, of course. Nanook's running around and grabbing everything - he's the Cubchoo I hatched. I named him after a polar bear I met once.

Are you alright with that? Having the apartment to yourself. If you ever need to talk to somebody, I know all three of us are usually up nights.
[He's worried but trying not to be smotheringly so. He's had another human presence with him literally since before he was born, so he can only imagine how bad it must be to go to sleep with no one there.]
Nanook is a good name for a polar bear. It's funny how much they act like real babies sometimes.

I'm all right. A lot of the time I end up curled up next to Regal on the floor. I've gotten used to beds, but... some blankets and a pillow are all I really need. For a while after I first got here I kept sleeping outside of town in my tent, even after I got to the towns. Mimi had to convince me to be with a travel group and not keep avoiding inns.
[He glances over at Regal and smiles slightly.]
Yeah. Some of them never quite grow out of it. Braviary are supposed to be fierce and all but he's kind of a giant dork. ... I guess that's fitting, though.

It sounds like your pokemon have your back. It had been a long time since I had slept in a proper bed and not a standard-sized bunk made for men six inches shorter than I was.
[he very tol.]
I know what you mean there. A lot of mine still have the same personality they hatched with. With the little ones it's one thing, but when you've got a pokemon the size of Addie who still thinks he's a lap bear...

[And it's not like he didn't specifically ask Riku to find him the most ill-mannered Hawlucha of the bunch...]
Rachel kept trying to flop on me for a while. Then she figured out that wasn't working, so she started picking me up.
[On the bed thing, though...]
When I first got stuck as a hawk, Jake would put some meat in the attic and pull out a drawer with blankets for me to sleep in. After a while I started sleeping in a tree and hunting my own stuff, so sleeping as a human took a while to get used to. The first few nights were super weird.
