here's an outline of where Yang and her traveling group will be during the time period, with some prompt ideas. if you've got any questions or want to make plans hit me up via PM here or simplypip but you don't HAVE TO before tagging in! alternately characters can call and make plans with Yang over here. (I enjoy writing starters, but I just didn't want to have half a dozen up before I knew what people might be interested in!)


4/18 : teleport in to Violet City; settle in to the inn
4/19 : catch an air show & check out local scenery w/some last minute training
4/20 : blaze it defeat Falkner for the Zephyr badge
4/21 -> 4/29 : Travel from Violet City to Azalea Town
4/30 : Challenge Bugsy for the Hive Badge (victory pending, but very likely)
5/1 : make network post; check out the jazz club
5/2 : ZIPLINE RIDING @ Ilex Treetop Adventure Park
5/4 -> 5/9 : travel from Azalea to Goldenrod City (travel time cut short by Glitch City event)
5/9 ~ 5/24 : back in Goldenrod, find work and finish training to challenge Whitney (other event stuff happening)


at the start of the trip she will be hanging around mainly Penny, Ruby, and Weiss, but by the trip from Azalea to Goldenrod she will have Ashley and Varric along on the road (and more additions are welcome or will be added later!)

[She can't help but grin, even though she was trying to keep a dry smile on instead. It's very exciting, meeting a friend in-person for the first time.]

Cartridges? Didn't they nix those when we were kids, Dave? I'm not that far ahead of you.

[Yes, she definitely sits down next to him, and it looks like her plan is for a hug- but, alright, fistbump it is.

Looks like she hasn't done that a whole lot; the very action amuses her.]

Uh, well I'd appreciate it more if I didn't get here when everything went Digital Twilight Zone...but I guess I'd still be on the road if things hadn't gotten all pixelated, so I can't complain. Really it's just good to see you! And so many others, oh I didn't even realize how many people I need to check in with now.

Yeah, Goldenrod's pretty much where it's at. You got stopping by for coffee on your list, though, yeah? I got so much showing off to do, prepare your eyeballs to be amazed.

Besides, Karkat's there a lot, and probably some other people you know stop by, so you can check off multiple friendship tickboxes at once. Maka and Kaneki, though, I think they're out of town still.

Kane... Oh, Ken! [Took her a second there.] That's a shame, I'd really love to meet them...but as long as they're having a good time with each other, it's alright. Some other time.

[She wants to fuss over them in-person, she's become a shipper, oh dear.]

And naturally I'm going to spend so many hours in the café. You said there's a bookstore, right? So, you know, I'm there.

[He tilts his head as an idea occurs to him.]

Hey, if you're gonna be here a while, maybe you should look into working there? You can probably ask to staff just the books section if food service isn't your thing, and I can show you where all the cool shit's stashed in the break room.

I... Oh. [An excited smile spreads across her face.] Yes! Yes, that would be wonderful! I really like working in the Pokémon Centers? But ohmygod you have no idea how much I've wanted to work in a bookstore, ever since I was a kid--!

[She smiles, and Dave feels like a million bucks. Who's a good friend, it's him. He's making shit HAPEN.]

We're in a video game world, Dave. Don't pixels and creepy music usually mean irreparable damage? Does no one think about these things? I have to worry about it if no one else will.

[His face flickers with a moment of non-expression for a moment, but then he goes "pft" and leans back against the couch.]

Naw, with a cartridge game? It's probably just dusty. Long as we save our files and someone blows on it real good, we're fine. ...Nintendo does run on cartridges, right.

It does. ...I just hope that doesn't mean we're due for a windstorm before it gets back to normal. How do we save anyway...?

[Ashley sighs and shrugs.]

As long as...it won't hurt us, I guess I can deal with it.

[Dave considers that statement, then nods.]

I've been here a while, now, and nothing's been too dangerous so far. Besides.

[He shrugs.]

Anything you can't deal with, you got us, now. Team RWPYSBURB Westside Teen Rumpus. We ride together, we engage in hobbyist activities inside together.

[She laughs, mostly in surprise at that silly group name. How charming.]

I... Thanks, Dave. I really appreciate that. I was largely on my own until leaving Violet, so...

[Doubt creeps onto her face, but she chases it off.]

[He looks considering for a moment, then holds his hand out low, palm-up. If she chooses to go for the low-five, he'll raise it to a following high-five and then another bump to seal the deal. A rare and highly dangerous combo. Does she dare?]

And really after so much time around Josh she should expect a follow up but she fumbles at first. If he's willing to forgive her slip-up, she still tries to follow-through on the bump!]

[He laughs a little bit, almost under his breath, and not unkindly.]

[He leans back on his hands, comfortable.]

So what all are your plans while you're here? I know you've been here before, probably hit some of the tourist crap already.

You know? Just...take it easy. There's a badge here to earn eventually, but this is supposed to be the biggest city here, right? I think I'd like to...stay in the city for awhile.
