here's an outline of where Yang and her traveling group will be during the time period, with some prompt ideas. if you've got any questions or want to make plans hit me up via PM here or

simplypip but you don't HAVE TO before tagging in! alternately characters can call and make plans with Yang over here. (I enjoy writing starters, but I just didn't want to have half a dozen up before I knew what people might be interested in!)

4/18 : teleport in to Violet City; settle in to the inn
4/19 : catch an air show & check out local scenery w/some last minute training
4/20 : ~~blaze it~~ defeat Falkner for the Zephyr badge
4/21 -> 4/29 : Travel from Violet City to Azalea Town
4/30 : Challenge Bugsy for the Hive Badge (victory pending, but very likely)
5/1 : make network post; check out the jazz club
5/2 : ZIPLINE RIDING @ Ilex Treetop Adventure Park
5/4 -> 5/9 : travel from Azalea to Goldenrod City (travel time cut short by Glitch City event)
5/9 ~ 5/24 : back in Goldenrod, find work and finish training to challenge Whitney (other event stuff happening)

at the start of the trip she will be hanging around mainly Penny, Ruby, and Weiss, but by the trip from Azalea to Goldenrod she will have Ashley and Varric along on the road (and more additions are welcome or will be added later!)

[ Yang halted and looked between the Sylveon and the girl, waiting for the recognition to be obvious. Sure it could be someone pretending to be the right one, but then again, Yang could just as easily be pegged as a thief. Good thing for the benefit of the doubt.

She chuckled, waving her hand. ] It's not a problem. I just saw her trying to drag it all by herself and thought I'd help out. [ Yang slung the bag off of her shoulder and offered it. ] And no, I didn't peek, though I guess I should have checked for some I.D...

[ Hindsight. Whatever. ]

[With a grateful sigh, she takes the bag and opens it up. Arwen puffs out her chest, pleased. Now give her a Poképuff, Ashley. Praise her. Prai- or just look through your bag to make sure everything's there, fine, no one appreciates her.

In response to her self-critique, Ashley just shakes her head.] No, no, it- this is fine, I under... [Slow recognition. Her own voice is rushed and a little high from her panic, but this girl's is laid back, relaxed, so it's easy for her to place...]

...Yang?

[ Hands on her hips, Yang cocked her head to the side a bit. Still smiling. ] Yep! That's me — though I didn't think I was getting that popular around here, yet...

[ Implying that was someday going to be her goal. Though now she's giving this other girl a good look over to see if she seemed at all familiar. Oh god, it wasn't one of the people she'd harassed while imitating Neon, was it...? No. She'd remember seeing her face to face. ]

You're not. --I mean ohmygod that is not what I meant to say at all, you probably are that's just not how I know you!!

[A+ job Ash. She almost drops her bag in her flailing, Arwen is embarrassed for her.]

I-I-I mean we've talked before!! A few- several times, many times!

[It is lost on her to actually say her name like a normal person would do because that's just what we're doing today I guess?]

[ Wow. Wow!!! At first Yang is more shocked than offended, and it could have easily gone that way too at having her (nonexistent) popularity questioned, but the more this girl went on the more it just made her want to laugh.

So, she did. ] Hahaha~ okay, okay! I get it now. It's all right just... relax, okay?

[ Yang wiped at the corner of her eye as she calmed herself down. At least there was plenty of talking done so that helped place her voice. ] ...oh my god Ash, is that you!?

[Completely red in the face and very intently focused on studying the ground, she nods and lets out a little frustrated hng.]

M-mmhm. Indeed me, one and only, y-yep.

[An I am so sorry this is so awkward tone free with confirmation.]

Hah! This really is my lucky day. [ Still beaming, Yang raised a hand up and out as if reaching for the girl's shoulder but stopped. Body language was all wrong so... down goes the hand, out for a shake. ] First the badge, now bumping into you thanks to your little friend here. [ A smile down for the Sylveon. No, she hasn't forgotten about it. ]

[Thank you, Arwen puffs her chest back up...and wraps one of her feelers around Ashley's leg. Come on, trainer, perk up.]

Oh. Huh... [Sylveon: A natural positive energy distributor. Handshake, yeah, let's do that.] Uhhh, I mean- yeah, I. I didn't realize you were in the area, so I didn't even think... It's good to actually meet you in person...and put a face to a voice.

[ Pokémon are honestly so good. It will probably be for the best that, should she ever leave, she can't remember them to miss them. People, too, but she's not thinking on that. This is about new meetings! ]

Haha yeah! Same for me, too! [ Yang took her hand back after the shake, adjusting the pack over her shoulder. ]

I didn't think about sharing my group's itinerary either. But we've been planning a badge-hunting trip for a while now and this is just the first stop.

[Let's not talk about unhappy forgetting things, exactly. Or think about them. Ashley perks up.]

Your group? Does that mean- your sister and the others from your world? Are Dave and his friends here too? My god, I could meet so many people in person!

No, Dave and the others went another way since they didn't skip this gym like we did. [ Yang rubbed the back of her neck. ] There are some ways Teleport is a little too convenient. Who'd have thought?

[ Still, there's something to smile about. ] I could totally introduce you to my team back at the inn, though! I know they'd be thrilled.

Oh. [A tiny deflation, but not much!] Well, I guess all the hard travel's really paid off.

[She tries not to sound a little smug. It's not hard, honestly, because part of her really wished for a Teleport during her adventures in Union Cave.]

I'd still love to meet them! I've only... Huh, I guess I met Weiss and Ruby back when we all first got here, but we were all, ah, focused on other things.

[ Nodding. ] Yeah, I can't blame you there. Waking up here like that was... different. [ Which sounded better than "unsettling", but that's what her tone implied. ]

Anyway! It'll be a lot more pleasant this time, I promise.

I'm sure of that. I'm looking forward to it. Especially if I can watch them fight for a badge too, since it...looks like I missed yours.

[ Yang tagged at her beret, which bore her shiny new Hive Badge, right next to Zephyr. ] Heh, yeah.... But you didn't miss much. It wasn't even a challenge — I pack a lot of heat, so Bugsy never stood a chance. The next one's going to be a lot more of a fun fight, from what I hear.

Yeah, it- it was mostly pretty easy for me too. [She glances at Arwen, who puffs her chest up again. She did fine okay.] Made some...strategic choices that were a little more difficult, but- it was still fun.

What is it, the- the next gym? What specialty?

[ She nodded. ] Great! That's important.

Goldenrod's ... mostly psychic types. Penny clued me in on a few of Whitney's tricks, so I hope I can keep my crew focused and not let hers run circles around them.

Psychic? ...Oh, if I remember my cheat sheet correctly, I should have that down! Right, Arwen? [Unimpressed Sylveon look.] You can fight too, don't get frustrated! Sheesh... You said- Whitney has tricks?
