I can't come up with a good subject /fails [Open]
Who: Naruto and whoever else would like to join~
Where: Route 29, half-way to Cherrygrove
When: Oct, 6th around noon
Summary: Half-way to Cherrygrove, Naruto decides to take a short break and rest while checking out his new pokemon. Feel free to stop by and say hello~
Rating: PG-13 we'll say.
Log:
Deciding to take a break from all the running and walking andskipping, Naruto tosses his pack down onto the ground and plops down next it, a row of trees behind him. He whipes the sweat from his forehead with the end of his shirt and lays back onto the soft grass. Reaching out to his bag Naruto pulls his pokeball out to look it over. He sits up and fumbles with it again, there's a flash of light and the Poliwag is standing in front of him once the light dies down. The blond grins at it and it smiles back, at least he thinks it does -- he can't really tell.
"So you're a Poliwag, huh? What kind of pokemon are you?" He asks, though he knows it won't actually tell him, but he can't help but say the question anyways, even if only to himself.
"Poliwag!" It chirps and it makes him laugh a little.
From the fins for feet it looks like some sort of tadpole, and obviously from being water-gunned it must be a water element type. Not exactly his element, but who was he to complain? At least he had one!
"Hmm I think I'll call you .. Gama!" Since it reminds him of the toads he had first summoned when he was younger. "Do you like that name?"
"Poli!" It replies and he isn't sure if that means it likes it or not but it hasn't water-gunned him for it so .. the pokemon just might like it's new name.
It's still a day's worth until he reaches Cherrygrove, and knowing Sasuke is there it only makes him want to get there even faster.

"Knuckles...!" Scott said, as his Cyndaquil leaped at a wild Pidgey. However, that didn't last long, as Cyndaquil noticed a Poliwag, and started to rush over.
Tired, Scott started to make his way over to Naruto, with a small wave.

It was cute and all but he had no idea what the other creatures in this place were like.

Wait... that was a Poliwag! It definatly was.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, what is it DOING?" He asked, edging away a little but keeping a very close eye on Gama.

"Well tell him no! I don't even know how they fight yet!" Naruto exclaimed as he watched the Poliwag move toward the Cyndaquil. "No! Bad Gama! Come back here!" Hlkjdlkfdf he didn't want it to get hurt!

But, you know, still. This simply wasn't ideal. New for Tulio was that he didn't know how to trick his way out of this, and also that he didn't really have a plan - the most he had at this moment was to keep going up this route to see if anyone at the other end of it had any answers.
He doubted they would. So far, no one had anything substansial to offer. Not even the people in the little talking ... thing.
Sighing, adjusting the rucksack, he kept walking ahead, with the hopes of finding Miguel or anyone else familiar around here, but instead he stumbled upon ... a stranger. Who seemed to be perfectly content with the ball-shaped blue creature next to him.
Must be a local, his mind tried to reason, but in any case, Tulio wasn't a big fan of strangers (even if his Yanma was, excitedly flying straight over to greet the pair), so he remained sort of awkwardly standing there, glaring not-so-subtly at his red insect.
[OOC: OHLAWL sorry if that ended up a bit long. I love prose-action -cough- xD]

The blond spluttered and coughed and wiped the water from his face. "The hell Gama!" The blond exclaimed and only then saw the insect had perched atop Gama's head. He just gave it a weird look and then sighed. Deeply. Dramatically.
"Well it looks like you made a new friend, Gama." The blond said with a laugh. "You look like some sort of butterfly moth thing. I wonder what kind you are."
Looking up, Naruto then noticed a man not too far off in the distance, just standing there. Immediately Naruto waved and called out. "Hey! Is this yours?" He asked, waving and then pointing to the moth-erfly poke-thing.
(ooc: No problem! xD)

And the kid. Well, he wasn't as young as the other kid he'd met, but still not much older than a kid. Tulio had been a bit worried at first that the Yanma had actually attacked him somehow, and was relieved to find that it hadn't.
Still didn't mean he was all too thrilled about having to admit that the wild insect ... well, was it really his? He didn't know and certainly didn't want to think so, but it seemed to be the case. In any way, the Yanma wouldn't leave him, so he was responsible.
He went over to the blonde and the pair of monster-animals, nodding at the kid.
"Yeah, sorry", he muttered and turned to the insect, "get back here!"
It flitted its wings in protest, but flew over to hover closer to Tulio, who again gave him a stern glare.
And a more hushed reprimand of "Stop doing that!"

Naruto just grinned and leaned back on his arms, his Poliwag sitting in front of his crossed legs. "It's okay! This one here is mine, I guess. I don't know how I got it, but it seems to think I'm it's master or something." He said with a shrug and then reached forward to pat Gama on the head, which the creature trilled happily at.
"Haha, you'll get used to it!" Was all he said as he watched the other man try to get his pokemon to behave. "Did you just get here too?"

He felt a bit calmer. Nothing disastrous had happened aside the purple-rat-incident earlier, and the Yanma seemed a bit tired since that whole ordeal, so all things considered, things weren't too bad. And the teen here seemed to be in the same boat. Well, judging from his magicaltalkingbox, most people were, but this was the first - well second - real meeting he'd had with someone else. He halfway hoped this person was as lost about it all as Tulio was himself.
And in response to the question asked, he looked up, scrutinizing the kid properly with a slight frown before answering.
"Pretty much-" It was cut short from his Yanma nudging his back, and he made a sort of growling sound before attempting to shoo him away. Then, turned back. "So... I take it you're not one of the locals, either."
no subject
"You can do that, but I doubt it'll go away." He said with a small chuckle as he watched the man try to get the insect to go away.
"Nope, sure not! I got here a couple days ago. A lot of people have, I guess. I still don't get the whole making these things fight each other but .." Naruto just shrugged. He still wasn't sure he could just make his pokemon fight -- unless it wanted to, of course.
"Did you just get here?"
no subject
"I got here yesterday", he handwaved the answer, was more interested at the previous statement the other person had made. "What was that? They're supposed to fight each other?"
He'd really hoped that freak-rat-thing had been a one time deal. Was that the whole point of this sudden quest? He'd seen various kind of animal fights on the streets, but had honestly found them a bit too macabre to participate in. He was more for the regular conning tricks. And now he had somehow gotten stuck with an enormous dragonfly and the point was to make it fight?
Well, thinking about the rat fight earlier, it didn't seem to have affected either the Yanma or the other animal-thing too bad. Maybe this world was different. Scratch that, he knew this world was different, but if these animals were as extraordinary as some people had hinted, maybe he could use this to an advantage.
He gave the Yanma a sideways glance. It seemed excited for the attention.

Naruto had only learned he could put it away a few days ago, which helped with traveling. By a lot. He didn't have to worry about his Poliwag getting lost or keeping up if he got to far ahead. Quite a nifty deal.
"Yeah! Isn't that crazy? And some of them even like fighting." The blond said, still unsure how he felt about the whole 'making them fight' thing. It was one thing to fight in defense or to spar. Sure, he was a ninja and some of their ninja had pets or partners that fought -- okay so it was kind of like that. But still.

Shrugging off the backpack (quite gratefully, as it had begun to feel really heavy lately), he put it on the ground and with one knee on the ground, began looking it through for one of the little ... things. He found one, and without much ado and halfway expecting it to not work, he aimed it at the Yanma and pressed the button - and it was captive in the little ball, and all was well. He couldn't help but feel quite shocked at this, but decided to not think of it any differently. When in Rome, or what was it? He'd definitely make use of this trick more.
Returning his focus now on the other person again and what he was saying, he found the information very interesting. And admittedly, still a little ... new and disturbing.
"They don't seem to take much harm though", he thought out loud, automatically gazing at the area where his enormous dragonfly had last been.

She finally makes her decision and starts to open the bag. Turns out it's one of those bags that will not open. Despite trying both the pulling and the ripping from the side method, neither work and Kagami's left glaring at the chocolate chips visible through the clear bag. Wait. There's some guy there! But it'd be awkward to just ask some guy to open a bag for her... She really does want some chocolate though...
"H-Hey! Do you mind giving me a hand?"
no subject
"Sure! What do you need help with?" He asked, eying the bag in her hand, wondering what that was and if that was what she needed help with, but he'd wait to find out just in case.

Averting her eyes and blushing slightly, Kagami asked, "Do you mind opening this bag of trail mix for me? I've been trying for a while but it totally won't open." She held out the battered bag of trail mix.

"There you go!" He said, smiling.
