Who: Aki and OPEN!
Where: Violet City, outside the school
When: February 21st, afternoon
Summary: Aki needs CR with various people. I am so out of ideas for logs it's not even funny. Therefore, this was thrown together.
Rating: I doubt it will even go past PG, if that.
Log:
The funny thing about seeing a school in Violet City was that Aki had yet to see any especially young children around who lived here on a permanent basis -- there were quite a few middle and high schoolers present, though. She'd heard about it, and occasionally talk along with it that the headmaster himself was a real oddball, either who didn't speak the local language natively or completely refused to speak it properly, but a kind oddball nonetheless. She had never seen nor met him, though, so she tried to reserve judgment on it. Most likely, she'd have to come back when the school was active and inquire about whether it was a school for local students only, or even if she could enroll for however long they were going to remain in Violet before heading off again. It seemed unusual to be asking about taking a class this way, but things worked much differently here, she reasoned. It was possible they got those kinds of requests all the time from the more diligent of traveling trainers, anyway.
Peering around the corner, there was a small playground situated on the side, but the sounds of shouting and hard footsteps in the sand were notably absent at this time of day. The silence of an empty playground would always be strange to behold.
Before she realized it, she was crossing the dry, straw-like grass while maneuvering around the patches of dirty snow. Soon, she stood a few steps away from the rusted swingset, eying it in clear deliberation. The swings themselves shook a bit as they were brushed by the chilly February wind, and she recalled the comforting semicircle motion from the days when her father pushed her back effortlessly through the air with strong, caring hands.
She could think of a hundred excuses why not to, truthfully. It was too cold outside, she thought as she held her coat around her a little tighter, or maybe she was just too old for swings anymore. Besides, it wasn't too late to see if anyone was still taking care of paperwork or something inside...
Deciding against it at last, convincing herself that there was no need, she whirled around to make her way back to the front of the schoolhouse.

Action okay? :3?
His wanderings had brought him to the schoolyard some time that afternoon, but the empty buildings and playground pretty much ensured the fact that he wouldn't be getting any business done here today. With a sigh, he turned on his heel to leave, only to stop when he saw a familiar face walking briskly from the swing set to the front of the schoolhouse.
Isn't that... Crow's friend?
He stopped short and turned to face the approaching figure, lifting a hand from his pockets and waving at her with a grin]
Oooooi! [He had only interacted with her a little bit, and nothing beyond exchanging names and pleasantries, but it certainly couldn't hurt to get to know the mysterious girl who had been traveling with them a bit more... right?]
Yes!
...Kaito, wasn't it? What brings you here at this time of day?
no subject
Yeah, that's right. [a shrug] 'M just looking for people who might be interested in seeing a magic effect or two.
no subject
[You have HER interested now, Kaito. Good job.]

Ah, that magic. Pulling things out of thin air and then making them disappear again. I can't remember the last time I saw someone doing it for real...
Are you a street performer?
no subject
Here, I am. Back home I'm just a student who likes magic. [tosses the flower into the air and makes it burst into confetti with a snap of his fingers]
One day I'll perform on stage.

[Aki tilts her head up and watches the confetti flutter down, then slowly drops her gaze back to Kaito, full of wonder for a moment.]
What year student are you, out of curiosity?
I was actually considering seeing what the school here had to offer for travelers while we're here, if anything. It won't be the same as back home, but I'm sure if traveling trainers are so commonplace, they'd be able to work something out, if only temporarily...
no subject
Student? High school... second year. [a shrug] I haven't even thought about school since I arrived here.
no subject
I'm just curious what they might have to offer here. I'm still expecting the education to lean towards Pokemon, though, like the one in our world leans towards Duel Monsters.
no subject
Back home, schools are just schools. We don't have Pokemon or Duel Monsters or anything like that.
no subject
and so Aki will find one of her groupmates trotting unerringly for one of the swings and plopping herself down in one with no hesitation whatsoever. ]
Swing GET!
no subject
[My, what a weird way of speaking you have. Aki can't really help but repeat it in a confused attempt to figure it out as the girl passes right by her, heading straight for the swingset. She glances over her shoulder and blinks.]
...You're Kay, aren't you?
no subject
At your service and stealing this swing! Aki, right?
