It's here! It's here! Clair's first-ever (and, Lance hopes, last-ever) Pokemon Prom is here, coming to you straight from scenic Tohjo Falls! You've packed your bags, you've hitched your rides, and now you're taking your first steps in to a super swank palatial PokeManor where, prior to now, only the pseudo-legendary best of the best had ever tread. Gosh, that must make you pretty special, huh? (Well, you and everyone else in the massive crowd that arrived along with you, that is.) Of course, you're all destined for greatness. But at the moment, your more immediate destiny is forty-eight hours of fun.

☆ YOU ARE HERE ☆




KEY:

• BLUE areas are where the bulk of the party's events will be located! As you can see, the festivities will be taking place largely outdoors, and the grounds will reflect that; there'll be the usual decorations of pretty floral arrangements, little lights, things like that. Think garden party!
• GREEN areas are where guests will be staying overnight! Unfortunately, you'll be sleeping-bagging it up, since this is a house party and not a hotel party, but this is where you'll be given space to leave your possessions, claim some sleeping room, and generally crash for the night once the festivities do you in. (Note: you're welcome to try to sleep elsewhere, but Clair might catch you and disapprove. You don't want that, do you?)
• RED areas are unfortunately off-limits to guests! If asked about them, anyone will tell you that those are the rooms and areas that the Elite Four have claimed for themselves, and they're sealed off tight. Please don't try to break into them anyway; you'll only be caught and punished.

• AREA A is the designated Indoor Ballroom area, for the people who would prefer to class it up a little more than just your standard garden party. There's a big skylight, hardwood floors, tasteful artwork, and classy music — a little more upscale than the shenanigans going on outside, for the people who'd rather that kind of thing.
• AREA B will be the area of interest for anyone hoping to sneak a little Pokemon research on the side: this is the Library/Gallery area of the house. While most of it is your standard "tall shelves of ancient identical books" fare, there are a few points of interest — a sculpture of Lugia, a painting of the Ecruteak City skyline before the Brass Tower burned down, some stone etchings of what might be Fossil Pokemon, and so on. Guests are welcome to look around a little, but burying themselves in research the whole time will be highly frowned upon, and you'll be politely encouraged to leave the library alone and go rejoin the festivities if you hole up in there for too long.
• AREA C is...well, the Parking Lot. More importantly, it's where you take your Pokemon battles if you simply gotta get your battle on; keep it out and away from the house, please, and try not to make too much of a mess. Skirmishes, sorties, and sparring will be tolerated here and here alone. Do it anywhere else and you'll be facing some very displeased hosts.
• AREA D is the Elite Four's Trophy Room. Please be quiet and respectful if you come up here to have a look around; it's a solemn kind of place. Here you'll find various collections of badges, ribbons, awards, and trophies put on display, with one wall devoted to each member of the Elite Four. Of particular note is a glass case with a broken Ultra Ball mounted inside; the brass plaque attached claims it's the ball Lorelei was using when she almost caught Articuno. On a lighter note, there are also pictures of the Elite Four themselves — your standard Official Portraits™, sure, but also some framed candids of them in various configurations hanging out with their Pokemon and engaged in various activities around the house (Agatha making waffles, Lance and Bruno clowning around in the pool, stuff like that).

Immy's grabbed a nice looking dark jacket from gear, but is still wearing her party finest, with long gloves and mask. However her boots are currently by the door with Talent the Espeon, and the only reason she keeps her contacts in is that she won't put them back in if she ever takes them out. She's... drifting, like an invisible wind pushes her from one bookshelf to another, picking up a book, glancing through it for a little while, then putting it back.

She can't be getting much out of any of them, spending only a few moments on each book. And without her boots her short stature is even more apparent as she struggles for the books on higher shelves. Often glancing to her buddy Talent to give her a psychic hand. She seems perfectly content exploring the huuuuuuge place, and see what secrets it might hide.

It really didn't take long for Flora to find the library. Still in her dress as well, and still getting used to wearing such a long down, she had found solace in sitting down with a good book. But from hearing the sounds of another in the room, and partly afraid it would be Clair telling her to go enjoy the party again, she's quick to close the novel she's reading, hiding it behind her as she tries to sneak towards the door.

...But this new individual is definitely not Clair, and she sighs in relief, smiling a little.

"In the mood to read as well?" she asks, trying to make light conversation. "And be careful, Clair's been checking in on this room to make sure everyone's enjoying the party. I've been caught, twice."

[Repliku here noped the heck out of being social the first chance he got, finding a quiet corner of the library to hide in, a feat considering how visible his hair and outfit make him. A Houndoom is laying on the floor beside his chair, which is turned so that one side faces the corner of the room, and he has a book in his lap.

Go bug him? Clair hasn't yet, so he thinks he's unnoticed.]

[Evan had disappeared not long after they got there... time to go hunt for him! She's still comfortably in her black dress, though she's pushed her dragon mask up to rest atop her hair.]

He's in his Suit with a very content Eevee draped over his shoulder while his Riolu is playing with his Mask and sitting by his feet, looking tired and annoyed at annoy who looks at her too long]

[Completely undeterred by the annoyed look she's receiving, a Lampent wearing a lacy, dark purple bow around her hat approaches Steve's Riolu with a ghostly coo. Where her master is is a mystery, but apparently she's looking to make some new friends. Starting with this Riolu.]

[Eventually, John's feet need a little break from dancing so he starts wandering the mansion, accompanied by his Lampent, to see what trouble interesting things they can find. He's still dressed in his party duds, and Chandel is sporting a lacy, dark purple bow around the tip of her "hat". The pair somehow winds up in the library, and John can't really complain about that. He may not be as big a bookworm as some of his friends, but he's not going to pass up the opportunity to read what must surely be rare books. Just think of the tactical pointers he could learn!]

[John immediately starts looking for any books he can find about ghosts, his Lampent helping him to reach any on the higher shelves because being 5'2" kind of sucks.]

[Socializing at parties is all well and good, but let's be real here-Kayneth Archibald El-Melloi did not come to PokeProm for the prom end of it. As soon as he arrived, he made a beeline for the library.

He came for the research and nobody is going to drag him out of the library for anything.

...well, nobody he's with, anyway. He's still pretty snazzily dressed (art credit), but he currently has his mask in a pocket and is alternately sitting in a rather comfy chair and burying himself in a book or looking critically at the artwork. In both cases, his Serperior can be seen at his side, wearing... a... top hat, cravat, and a monocle...?

...well, it can't be said that he never indulges any of his Pokemon's whims...]

[Now this is where the real party is, am I right? Nerds getting their research on. It's the best.

Dist can be found scanning the shelves for anything relating to evolution and possibly anything on Mew, or sitting (with his Roserade in his lap) and reading said books if he manages to find any. He'll be taking some pretty extensive notes too. Clearly he isn't here to simply look and admire the content here.]

[As another one of the bookish residents of Johto, Dimitri of course can't pass up the library. There are a few Legendaries he wants to look into, although he's not sure if he'll find any information on them in a Johto library. It doesn't hurt to try though, right?

So he'll be browsing through various books, all with old pictures of ancient Pokemon. Even if he doesn't find anything on the Legendaries he swears he encountered at some point, he still finds the bits on recorded Legendaries to be very interesting.

If your character happens upon Dimitri, he'll be staring at a page on a small fairy-like Pokemon: Celebi. Something about this Pokemon really has his attention.]

[[This was something she had definitely wanted to come here for. The information. Once she was all tuckered out at the party, she moved to the library to get a little quiet research in, taking a few books to sit down with and take notes out of. Maybe even some sketches on Pokemon she has yet to see.

The only Pokemon allowed up here was her Espeon, who was taking this chance to nap a little.]]

If you catch him while he's in here, you'll find Ryner going through various books, looking for something, anything he hasn't found before. ...And at one point, he does have some success with a scientific magazine, though, well, the definition of 'success' varies...]

[The party's fun and all, but later on, Atsuro would find himself at the library and browsing the books. Lady the Ledian is sticking near him, sometimes flying up and getting the books a little out of his reach.

Some of the information are what he already knows about, but he find it interesting to read them from a native's perspective. So interesting, he's rather absorbed in the books.

[Temeraire isn't planning on spending the whole evening away from the party, but he heard there was a library and how could he resist? He's come looking to see if there might be any interesting mathematical or scientific books, but all these books about legends are almost as interesting. He picked out several and is now sitting in one of the chairs, completely absorbed in a book on Suicune, Entei, and Raikou.]

[There's also a Flaaffy in a top hat wandering around the shelves, who would probably be found trying to climb up on a stool or a table to reach the books on the higher shelves.]

[ As exciting as the social aspect of the prom is and had proven thus far, it wasn't the sole reason for Valeria's attendance. One could even say she had managed to steal out of the ballroom fairly early, still dressed in party finery with silver accessories accented by orange sapphires and her off colored Butterfree-styled mask on display. She had her reasons, of course, and they were, are more than she's willing to say if asked. That's scarcely an issue when one's company is slated to be primarily books, which it easily becomes after she enters the library. Her Riolu follows her closely, watching as she begins to pull books and browse them for relevant content. There's a notebook tucked under one arm and a pen between gloved fingers, her Gear secure beneath one of the folds of her skirts. Tailored? But of course and although it was a last minute job by a boutique tailor, the work done was acceptable, not that she's thinking about that at the moment. What she's thinking about is information. What she wants, what she needs, how best to collect as much as possible in the limited amount of time she has. Notes take time she may not have, after all, and while the Gear can capture things for ease of reading later, she still has to find the information.

Sighing softly, she pulls another book and pauses. This... this and that will do and she moves to take a seat at a table, placing both the books and the masks to one side. Reno may not be present, but that's fine. She'll text him what she went through after she's done so that he can browse new material. In the meantime, she has work to do, Gear and pen at the ready with her Riolu... climbing into her lap. That has her pausing, looking down as he reaches to flip the book open for her. Nodding, she gives him a gentle pat on the head, then turns her attention to its contents with keen eyes as she grips the pen in her gloved hand.

Care to disturb them? Clair hasn't... yet. ]

[Rima isn't that interested in books, but after spending some time in the garden and ballroom, she had wondered into the library for a little peace and quiet. She's removed the mask, but is still wearing her black dress and heels.

For the moment she's just browsing through the shelves, wearing her usual apathetic expression and scanning the titles of the books for anything that seems interesting. Meanwhile, Spheal can be found bouncing along behind her trainer and occasionally rolling off to do some exploring of her own]

[Well, this seemed quieter than all the other places in the house. Norman was only here under the insistence of his travel partner. He was a little curious but, ultimately, Norman didn't do well in crowds. After a few minutes of greeting and trying not to stand around awkwardly, he opted to just look around.]

[Which is when he found the library. He wasn't going to lie and say he wasn't really curious about the stuff in this place.]

[Call Yumi a geek but the only thing she definitely loved more than parties are books and with a huge library like the one here, it's like a entering candy store for little kids.]

[Yumi has her mask off so she could have a better view of the pile of books she's reading but she's still in the same dress she's wear - if not a little beaten up. A Cleffa with a little bow clipped on her ear was in her lap, acting as if she was reading with her while a Oshawott wearing a bow tie was keeping watch for any intruders. Despite the "intimidating" Oshawott, Yumi looks rather approachable, if not a little too into her book.]
